April 8 AT&T OTA Update - G2 General

I received an OTA today, which is 5.9 MB in size. I'm not sure what it does because it won't let me update due to being rooted. I figured I would share it here and maybe someone with more knowledge than I can do something with it. http://www.4shared.com/file/gBqs7WLiba/dlpkgfile.html

Oh, I was hoping it would include Knock Code.

Does it by any chance enable tap to pay? It says changes to google wallet.

I am rooted and was able to take the update. Kept root too.

I am rooted as well but the update failed on mine. Phone did reboot with no issues. From what I have read I do think it enables tap to pay for wallet.

I can also confirm that tap to pay with wallet is available. I was not able to update so I restored back to 80020c then upgraded to 80020k. Ioroot25 worked fine to root as well.

Mine failed to update due to root.

Just follow these steps to hide root and then the OTA will work fine:

Yeah..that doesn't work.
I can get it to say that unrooted in Download mode. Upon reboot, it reverts back. When I try to apply without reboot ing...and update, it doesn't update and reboots into Recovery.

Did you set permissions to 644 on both files before rebooting? And are they in the correct folder?

Im trying to download the update and I get an error code of 402 and says update failed once it reboots.
I have used ExynosAbouse to patch the exploit if that may be the problem. Help?

How to prevent the update?

I keep saying no to the update but it still keeps trying to do it automatically. I put it in airplane mode but it still shows up. Does anyone know how to stop it?
I would like to know this as well because it's gonna update if I don't keep my eye on my phone

Once you download and defer install or choose to install it will it prevent it from asking again though? or will it continue? It's getting annoying.

New ota update being pushed

Definitely not 4.3, see the below link to VZW support site. The file size however looks different from what the Instructions Doc says "System update size – approximately 329.5 MB".

Does anyone know the file to put it so i can't delete it just un-install to stock lg l9 facebook. And where to put that file so it won't fully delete?

Alright, go into Root Browser. Locate the application in system files, and hold down on it, then select "Cut" or "Move." Navigate to system/app with the application that you cut, and then click "Paste" or "Move here."
A simple reboot and the effects will be there

Now I'm guessing from your previous screen shot that you are trying to return the phone to stock. Facebook is installed as a system app on stock 4.1.2 ( on my 769 anyways ). If you don't have the custom recovery mentioned above installed, the only option you have is to use ADB to push the files to the device.
Do you still have root? If not, none of this will work.

I'm at work currently. When I get home, about 4 hrs or so, I'll put a small ADB package together. In the meantime, if not already installed, you will need to install LGs USB drivers for your device to your PC.

This is in the wrong section, but you mean to say your stock and took the OTA update? If so just go to a verizon store since THEIR update broke the phone, I would argue that even if its outside of warranty your phone was working fine before their update was released.
Sorry if this is in the wrong spot. I guess I should clarify what I meant by ruin. I just meant I can't save to it anymore.
