Galaxy MEGA 6.3 Bluetooth controllers - Samsung Galaxy Mega

Hey
I've heard that Bluetooth controllers like the wiimote are not supported on android 4.2.2 jellybean ..have anyone tried a cheap Bluetooth alternative that actually work on a MEGA 6.3?!

Which Bluetooth controller you have used now in your mega 6.3 ? Name please..

not yet .. did you?

i've tried ps3 controller connected on OTG, and readed something about playing around on a SNES emu and ifso done just disconnect youre controller. and turn on bluetooth and you will see that youre controller is already paired with youre phone( weird as it is but its PAIRED!! )
and so yeah i've played some old school mario on my phone on the emu. and ive turned on the bluetooth and it definitly works. but the thing is there's no keymapping app for the ps3 controller around.
so im on sixaxis controller app which is worth 5 stars in my oppinion, just search for it on store and you will be able to almost connect each bluetooth controller and remapp all the buttons.

I think nobody cares about porting a compatible bluetooth stack to our Vibrants. That's the reason why the bluetooth controllers, including the wii remote, don't work.
Please, hear our claims! It's disappointing to have a super fast device that is able to emulate every old game console, but only allows on screen controls.

gaming with controller

has anyone who has a dock been able to connect their dual shock 3 controller to TFP? I thought it was plug and play.
Just watched a video of someone doing exactly that. I believe its wireless via bluetooth also, but that may happen in ICS. Don't remember.

I *think* it will be PnP in ICS. Till then, you can purchase SIXAXIS app in the market, it's less then $2.00
I went out and bought a PS3 dual shock controller just to do this then found out that it only works if you use a usb cable, bluetooth is not compatible.
I found that to be lame.

You should check the Android Market, I'm pretty sure you'll find some applications letting you play with bluetooth.
Only certain game actually support a joystick. I think there is an app you have to install that works like a driver for it, but I have not tried it myself. However, it was said a WIRED PS3 or Xbox360 controller would work.
Bluetooth is supported too, but there are very few joysticks that match this. There is a Logitech PC controller and a Gamestop Tablet Gamepad that are supposed to work via bluetooth. Not sure on the requirements. I plan on getting the Logitech one to try this out; however, not sure when I will get around to it.
Here is a video of it in action:

Gamestop
Gamestop appears to sell/support a wireless controller.

Actually no, any app on the android market that would let you use the PS3 controller via bluetooth does not work on the prime unless you root it.
I had the gamestop controller and it is a total POS. It works with some games but they are not controls you can use to actually play the games just using that controller.. GTAIII for example.. You can only control your movement, you cant attack or jump or anything else.
The only game it works for is shadowgun. It doesnt works for any emulators, fpse, snes, sega or n64.
The Sixaxis app will let you connect a PS3 controller to your tablet, but you have to be rooted for it to work.

I imagine the emulator apps would need support for the controller programmed into the app itself, the tablet just recognizing the controller is there wouldn't be enough. each app will have to know what part of the screen to associate each controller button with. with PnP supported in ICS hopefully many more games & emulators will support controllers.
i got it to work. It is plug and play. You just have to go into controls and configure buttons. awesome for gaming.

The way the gamestop controller works, its not registered as a controller at all. It replaces your input method so basically its registered as a wireless keyboard that you cant setup.
My PS3 controller worked just fine being plugged into dock. I love shadowgun on it now. It is a hard game to play without controller.

Through bluetooth on the Droid and Nexus phones I've used it on. I assume it will work the same way on the Prime once we have superuser.

Bluetooth Wiimote connectivity

After a bit of internet browsing I discovered that it it possible to connect a nintendo Wii mote to Android devices. Which allows for easy gameplay.
After a few minutes of app installing I discovered that the entire Samsung Galaxy series is unable to use this app for whatever reason. Apparently due to the 'Sense UI' or so this article tells me;
http://android.ccpcreations.com/wiicontroller
But in the article it mentions the only way I could connect my Wii mote to my phone is by "rooting/flashing a compatible custom firmware".
So my question is, does anyone know of a ROM upon which such things are compatible? Thanks guys!

The page actually says for Samsung devices, it's NOT because of Sense (since Sense is an HTC skin for Android)... But that's neither here nor there.
The reason it doesn't work for WiiMote is because of how Samsung utilizes the bluetooth stack. You have to flash an AOSP ROM (like CM7 or MIUI) to get WiiMote to work. The downside of this, is that as far as I know, these ROMs don't currently support TV-Out via MHL. So you can't hook it up to your TV if you wanted to whilst using the controller.
HOWEVER - the SixAxis controller app, which connects to a ps3 controller (but ONLY an original Sony ps3 controller) DOES work with the stock ROM on the Galaxy S2. I have it, and it works. With this setup, I can use a controller with my emulators and hook the phone up to my TV to play games if I wanted to.
does this appel work great on s2
If yes . With wath games?

You meant ps3, right? I don't know of a ps2 sixaxis controller. I don't think one exists.

See here. That guy had some luck, but I can't personally vouch for any of his information since personally I use SixAxis with my ps3 controller.

Hi
I'm the "lucky guy" here ;p
I can confirm that I play with my wiimotes on my SGS2 . But all Roms does not work with wiimotes:
Ginberbread roms made by Samsung (= stock Rom) => wiimote sync doesn't work
Gingerbread Roms made by Miui (= Custom Rom) => Wiimote sync works (but the"MHL cable" [to play with your GS2 on your HD TV] does not work).
ICS Roms made by samsung => Wiimote sync doesn't work (because it asks for a pairing code) but MHL works
ICS Roms made by MIUI (or Cyanogen 9) => Wiimote sync doesn't work (it asks for a pairing code too) + MHL does not works
But... ICS Leaked Roms by samsung => Wiimote sync works and MHL works (so you can play N64 emulator on your TV ).
If you don't trust me, or if you don't understand me (bad english :s), you can PM me if you want
PS: For explanations on "MHL" : see here
