need help from a developer - Sprint Samsung Galaxy Note 3

ok so it has been a long long time since I have done a rom from scratch. I did it before using the kitchen and still have that all setup on my computer so I downloaded the newest version and followed all the steps for note 2 (since there was no steps for note 3) but figured if I used a note 3 rom I should be close . So I already noticed one thing is the highest android it goes to is 4.3 but I found the right code for 4.4 so I used that but not sure if that is all that needed to be done about that. Right now it is trying to deodex (says it might or might not work). But on top of those items and I might need to put a new version of supersu and busybox is there any script things that need to be changed to work on the note 3????
since I decide to trip the old knox I thought I would try doing my own rom again. Wanted to try and to it all the way from the base that dropped rather than taking someone elses just so I knew how to
thanks for any help

(Q) Has anybody loaded linux on this, and does dual booting work?

Like the title says, has anyone tried out dual booting, and linux on this bad boy? I will be getting this in a couple of weeks, and wanted to know these two questions. Thanks
Edit: Just to clarify, dual booting two android roms, and linux by the way of linux installer on the playstore.
Sent from my ADR6425LVW using Tapatalk 2
There isn't yet a multi slot bootloader, but it is being worked on.
I'm running Linux using the Linux installer from xda, also on the Play store. Works great with all of the current Linux distros on the app.

I set up Linux a week ago just for fun. Deleted it cause I have no clue what to do with Linux, but it ran quite nicely
Sent from my SCH-I605 using Tapatalk 2
I knew you could do it, I didn't know it was so streamlined. When booted in Linux, is there network support? I can get online and whatnot?
Sent from my SCH-I605 using xda app-developers app
Yes, it has networking support
Backtrac won't let you do a lot of the security things is meant for, but that's am issue with the hardware not supporting the necessary modes not the software being incompletely ported.
But Ubuntu runs flawlessly for me. Nice to have GIMP and such on my phone when I need it; which is rare but still nice to have.
You do realize that Linux runs as an "app" so you don't reboot into Linux, you launch it from a widget or from you all drawer.

Thanks for answering guys, can't wait to get this phone, only a couple more weeks.

How to - ROOT without tripping KNOX

Searched and didn't see this thread...Well at least not in Sprint section so here THOU ARE. How to Root very easily and keep KNOX at 0. If later you decide to Flash a recovery or ROM i assume you will trip KNOX.
I don't take any credit for this work. Install KING0APP from link below. Turn on developer mode "app shows you how to do that" Run app with phone connected to computer. When phone reboots you are officially rooted. You can check root with Root Checker from android store.
I successfully rooted and unrooted with his program and didn't trip KNOX. Unrooting does seem to take about 10 minutes. Dont worry its not froze.
The guy has a face book page "second link". Go like his page for more more info and help.
Mod edit: removed link

-I am completely responsible if you brick your phone! "sike" :good::fingers-crossed:

The latest version (1.1.1) of Kingoapp has been posted on their website and is ready for download. It supposedly fixes the restart issue and a few other things.
Just rooted using this, couldn't be easier. Afterward, installed Xposed framework and Wanam module ( http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2496454 ) and now status is official. Glad I waited to root. Now, to see if (or rather when since Sprint/Samsung tends to be slow with updates) updating to kitkat breaks everything.

I rooted with the old version yesterday but kept having problems with SuperSU -- it was out-of-date, and if I updated it from Google Play market it would freeze while updating the binary. So I finally said Screw That, clicked on Unroot, did the Root De La Vega thing (copy files to root of internal sdcard, reboot, erase files and reboot) and that worked fine.
I tried Kingo several times and never got a clean up-to-date install of SuperSU. Everything might be fixed in Kingo now but I really don't care to run those traps again.
I rooted too, how do you install the hotspot? I tried the one from Tim's link and it didnt work.
Yea I posted the new version every where but my own topic. As stated it's on the site.

Sorry to hear about this.
Have you tried doing this by wiping your internal memory, and checking your SD card for issues? There are a few whom have reported that restoring everything to out-of-the-box new got them back on their feet.
A nasty amount of work, but it could be an option. Having recovery with no way to use it seems awful.
Check Rwilco12 NAB one-click thread, last few posts, for the means another used to eliminate these types of errors.

[Q] sprint note 3 modem crash

hello xda members! i am in a rush as i am on my way to work as i post this
but i'm running on freeza's very wonderful note 3 rom and recently (as of last week) i keep getting modem crash errors. out of no where,
i've taken some screenshots and hopefully these are helpful. ive only seen it actually happen once, every other time the phone isnt in my line of sight.
it happened while i was reading manga from my phone. any other time the phone is dormant.
i greatly appreciate your time in looking at this, and hope there is a resolution. i am very new to this entire proccess and was helped this far by droidmodderx and wwjoshdew
Am I posting in the wrong place? Id like to take this to the development section but my post count isnt high enough and I dont spam. Is there anyone that can at leaat give me a hint?

Flash back to stock with odin and reroot and install recovery .... then see if it still does it ... could be hardware issue or stay on stock for a couple days and see ...if it's hardware get it replaced otherwise it could just be a bad software issue that could be fixed by starting over ...

You've been getting modem crashes on a regular, sustained basis? Are the moments repeatable or unpredictable?
I've had them when completely stock with only root, and when running stock DeOdex, plus when on custom roms, on both NABD and NC5D (ie, before and after WiFi calling).

Very unpredictable when they happen.. I cannot replicate. They've all happened since flashing the NC5 engineering bootloader. Once i had 3 in a row all back to back about 5 to 10 minutes apart.
I've contemplated flashing the NC5 developers bootloader but from what you've just told me, they'd probably still occur.
Right now they occur maybe once every or every other week.
This never occurred while i was on stock NAB
