On to a new phone! - HTC Rezound

It's been fun and educational hanging out in the Rezound section, moving on to G2 now, I'll still help out here where I can. Thanks to all the devs who extended the life of this phone, love having KitKat on it.

Vibrant or nexus one??

Hey guys I'm looking to get your advice. I currently own a vibrant on T-Mobile and I'm thinking of getting a nexus one. I'm thinking about it primarily because I think I like the form factor is better than the vibrant. In terms of software there's no comparison, ill be using miui on either.
What do u guys think?? Worth the trade or should I stick with the vibrant??
I'm a long time Lurker and have not really posted too much so if I posted in the wtong section or posted on a topic again I apologize and would appreciate it if it's moved to the right section.
If anyone has both phones please share your experience.

I have both and I use my Vibrant as my daily phone almost exclusively. MIUI is pretty slow from my experience on my N1, so I just stuck with CM7.
N1 is pretty fast, but it's also a 1.5 years old (ancient in phone years). It's a great dev phone and it's nice developing apps on it, but the Vibrant is a better phone for the user. The screen is gorgeous, and at 4" I find it much easier to type on my Vibrant than the N1.

Awesome thanks for the reply, i think ill be choosing the vibrant over the nexus one......but now what about the nexus s, which would u prefer??
I've got the means to get it for cheap. so I'm also considering that over the vibrant.

Hey guys, some of you may or may not know me so i would like to introduce my self and my team. I'm XsMagical, Co-Founder of Team-Nocturnal.com
We just got the Optimus G today and plan on bringing a lot of unique roms to this device, AOSP is up first then a nice clean stock rom, our Signature rom Xplod XE and many mods and tools. So with that being said, I'm glad to be a part of the community and i cant wait to start developing for you guys!
That is great! Having used a number of y'alls roms before - especially yours - this is good news.
So any word on who is actually going to do the hands on development from your team for this phone?

Finally.! I thought I was going to have to buy one for someone on my team to get stuff crackin' This phone has so much damn potential. I was just going to start a thread asking if I should get a deodexed stock ROM out so themers could put some nice themes out but sounds like you have the two important areas covered.:thumbup:

Just saying hi

I just wanted to say hi. I switched to at&t last night n ordered an optimus g. I'm just waiting for it to come in the mail. I'm excited to be part of these forums now.
Now a little back story. My first android device was the HTC Evo for sprint. I got the phone on launch day. I rooted the device n ran cyangenmod6. A couple month later the Samsung Epic was launched. The epic is where I started to develop for a phone. I started off making some themes ( emotionless beast ) n worked my to ROM development. When I left the epic I had the best ROM available at the time. Syndicate Frozen 1.2.
I had to leave sprint n switched to metro PCs. The phone I had was the Samsung Admire. With the admire I helped with getting Odin n cwm working on the device. I then had the very first ROM available. ( no one else was working on the device at the time ). Admiral beast.
Metro PCs was short lived n I switched to T-Mobile. With T-Mobile I had the Lg MyTouch 4G ( lg-e739 ) and its still my current device until my optimus g comes in. With the e739 I helped the cyangen team with cm9 and created my own ROM n kernel ( first time ever making a kernel ). The ROM was cm9 based n I started off calling ICSyndicate. In the last update the name was changed to MyEzOs. After the release of MyEzOs I then helped with CM10 witch we just got working last week.
Sorry for the long post but wanted to let you guys know how I am n what I do. I look forward to unlocking the full potential of this device with out doing the dirty hack to convert it to the n4.

Forget the N4 Conversion. Stick with the clean way. Team Codefire has already made great progress and we want to stay united as devs in order to benefit the community as much as possible.

The conversion works fine. More stuff works with the conversion than current aosp/aokp releases. Its not that bad. It may have some long term effect but I haven't seen it and neither have other people who converted. The jellybean camera problem was fixed for those who converted back. I have converted back and forth several times. While converted I had almost everything working besides lte. After converting back I have been able to run all lgog ROMs successfully.

Its to much risk for a little gain IMHO. You won't be happy when your partions get ****ed n you end up with a brick.
I rather build n design aosp for the lgog.

And how many users have posted about there bricked lgog due to the conversion?None but at this point aosp and aokp is out and it may be better to wait a little bit .
But it is your choice and opinion so I'm not going to continue to hassle you.

Edit: just saw you changed your mind on the converting, sad day. I really think it is the best way forward, getting newest android versions first and being able to do everything the top of the line developer phone can do! Just my opinion though if you want to keep your phone pure I understand
