So finally Verizon has opened Goggle Wallet on the S4. After the last update of Google Wallet on the Play Store, i just checked Google Wallet on the S4 and it worked. All the features are available to link your bank account or debit card and credit cards. Also special promotion deals and a lot more things then Verizon's own ISIS.
Check out on your Verizon S4 and update.
I will try to post some screen shots soon.
This happened last week. Note, Verizon didn't do anything, Google just disabled Tap to Pay (Using NFC).

I noticed that it installed & ran, but I've heard from many that it doesn't work for NFC transactions at stores (just person to person). I'm not talking about the people who just say "doesn't ever work!!". It's hit or miss at some stores, as I've used it before on my Verizon Galaxy Nexus. I think it says "not supported" when you go to pay at an NFC supported terminal. Try it out & let us know...
It should let you add credit/debit cards now as you can pay person to person I mentioned above.
Sucks if TTP is not working
So what good is a Wallet when I cannot do tap to pay via NFC ... it would have been better if the would have kept the application locked as before...
Can you confirm the source of this that Tap to Pay is not working or have you tried it yourself.

It's grayed out on the wallet setup so you can't use it.

You can confirm it yourself: Load Wallet, Menu, Settings, About, Tap and Pay says "Not available".
There's a modded APK that loserskater hacked up to ignore the device specific checks.
I threw it into a CWM/TWRP flashable zip and posted it here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=45833601
If you don't have a custom recovery, you'll just need to move the APK and adjust permissions manually (the link to the original APK is in the instructions in the OP of that thread also).

I have always been under the impression that google wallet required hacks to get it installed. I was able to install it off of the Play Store without any issue on a stock 4.3 Verizon S4.
I have not been able to test to see if NFC works, but I am curious on if it should be this easy.
since version 2.0 every device can install it but tap to pay is still limited to certain devices.
you still have to "hack" it to use tap to play
they made it installable everywhere because of their new send money to people feature

Okay. Finally got my Omate. Seems to be good quality. Got out my old ATT SIM and put in there. Seems to work fine. My question is now what do I do with it. I remember when they first announced it that google play store was an option, but it appears that didn't work out. There was such a lag between order and when I got it that I kind of lost track of what was going on with it. So what do I do with it now. I would to get some play store apps on it, and is it possible for it to connect to my iPhone?

Think the watch only works with android phones, but i could be wrong.
No iOS support til the x201 gets updated to 4.3 or better.
How about the google play store. Is that an option?

You can install whatever you want. Play Store is one of the first things to get put on. Google the .apk file and install it.
And the first thing he should do is?
*raises hand* pick me pick me...apply your patch
Apply patch, install custom ROM, anything to get off of stock firmware.

LOL. Thanks Guys. So I can just install the APK for the play store without rooting or doing anything to the Omate. And what is the "patch"?
You can do that, install the Play Store and necessary GApps to support it via a link to an AndroidPolice article you will find in a number of places. If you do though, the watch is totally open to any malicious app that might want your passwords, like to your Google account, since everything on the unlatched TrueSmart runs with root privileges by default. Wide open, except for well behaved apps that ask for root through SU...those won't work (like Root Explorer) because there is no su to ask for elevated privileges. I think I got that mostly right ?
Anyway, unless you have some particular reason to run your TrueSmart totally insecurely, exposing all the private data and credentials it ever touches, run Loki's Enhanced Security patch immediately. Before you first type in your Google account credentials.

Hi!
I want to purchase the Greenify license. I have no GAPPS and I don't want to install them. For example, I purchased the licenses XPrivacy and IM+ from their authors through PayPal. Can i purchase the license for Greenify through PayPal, Visa or WebMoney(WMZ)?
a same question here, greenify is the most important app for me, without this, my HTC One E8 lasts less then 1 day with normal usage.
I am a Chinese user, I don't want GAPPS, but I want to buy greenify, what shall I do?

You must have some Android won't function without some, like playstore manager and others. I've the bare minimum myself but as they have moved parts of the OS into the app store it means that you need some Gapps to function. They do this so they can keep the code secret if it's *an app *. So much for being an open OS.
I hope that this happens, I'm about to remove Gapps from my phone and I've purchased the donation package.
It hurts to say this, but I probably have to pirate new Greenify releases after after removing propriety Google software from my phone.
greenify add on after factory reset
I had to factory reset due to my own ineptitude with the homescreen mixup I created (
When getting the greenify app back I had to pay AGAIN for the add-ons I previously bought.
Obviously there is no limits of my newcomer ineptitude.

If you had logged in to Play Store with the same account through which you purchased earlier, it would have recognised your earlier purchase and you need not have paid again.

Amazon Appstore's apps are updated very rarely, I doubt that Greenify has the latest version either. I've removed the application from my phone entirely.

In theory atleast, you can update the Amazon downloaded/purchased Greenify on Play Store. Some people have reported issues with this process and the Dev has provided a solution though that doesn't seem to work for all.

If you are talking about the OP, then he wants to donate and get the donate version. So without Play Store, he can not do it, unless by subterfuge.
I don't see greenify app in amazon appstore. I don't think it is there anymore... what was the matter?

Oh I haven't purchased it yet. Since I have some amazon appstore coins, I wanted to pay there rather than paying again in google play... Appreciate your reply!
I have purchased the donation package. As expected, after removing Gapps from my phone the paid features don't work anymore. I had to obtain a working version from unofficial sources.
I didn't see a mention anywhere on the store page that Greenify requires proprietary Google services to run, I should be entitled for a refund.
DRM only hurts the paying customers, pirates use the superior, non-Google dependant Greenify.

You have some nerve in posting this. Not only you knew that Greenify donate features will not work if Gapps are removed, you went ahead and obtained "a working version from unofficial sources".
So if Greenify is now working for you, why should the donation be returned?
And you complain that Play Store nowhere states that donation features won't work without Gapps as if you didn't know.
Hypocrisy!
Still, the question remains: How to use the "full version" without GApps installed? I still have a Google account and thus could "pay" via it. But it makes no sense for me if I cannot use it.
That "Google Glue" applied by "vending.CHECK_LICENSE" is a real show-stopper. I'm willing to pay/donate, and I've did so with several other apps that came without this glue (and thus working perfect on my "degooglified" devices). I wish I could say the same about Greenify. The free version is nice – but not half as useful as the full version

Agreed. But I think that it won't work without Google Play Store unless the Dev finds a way around it. And I also think that the 'Google Glue' was applied by Google and not by the Dev.

There are plenty of ways around it (one is to simply remove the license check altogether, which is what "hackers" do or which could possibly be done using Lucky Patcher – but I don't want to use a hacked version nor the patcher, the latter is too tempting I've bought several "paid apps" that come completely without). And as it wasn't Google who added that piece of code to the app, I have to disagree: there are indeed things not to blame on Google. If a dev decides to use Google licence check (which is performed by the Google Play Store app, hence 'vending.CHECK_LICENSE') (s)he must be aware that the app providing that is required on the device it should run on – and the own app cannot run if not.
Here check this out this may probably help you.

Hi, I just received my Truesmart + today, and I tried to install the google playstore and while I was able to get the APK into the watch, after it installs the playstore it fails to open.
So basically whenever I press the playstore button it'd open for half a second and the whole program just vanishes like if it got reverted back to the homescreen..... Ive also downloaded several different version of playstore and havent had any luck either...
I was wondering if you guys know if its possible to even install the google play store and get it to run on this model??
The specs of my watch are:
Android Version: 5.1
Baseband version: MOLY.WR8.W1449.MD.WG.MPV5, 2015/08/24 16:00
Kernel Version: 3.10.72
Build Number: Omate_Truesmart+_V1.1
Custom Build Version: OUI 3.0
Please help me out, I dont want to end up with a brick =(
I am curious about this too (was supposed to get mine today but the mailman messed up) Did they not include the OStore or some sort of other app program? Are any apps preloaded?
You'll also notice that you can't add a Google account within Settings-> Accounts.
The only way around that so I'm actually able to add a Google account is by sideloading "Google Services Framework" & "Google Account Manager" (in addition to "Play Services").
However, even with these installed, Play Store still doesn't work - it launches but won't connect.
Hopefully a solution is found.
Until then, I'm fine with using my LG Watch Urbane 2nd Edition LTE.
Pre-installed Apps are pretty sparse:
> Phone
> SMS
> Exchange
> File Manager
> Browser
> Calendar
> Clock
> Gallery
> Downloads
> Contacts
> Search

*UPDATE*
I've reached out to Laurent LePen (CEO of Omate) & told him the usual method of making the Play Store work (by sideloading the 3 Apps I mentioned) doesn't work on the Omate TrueSmart+. He said they're rolling out an update next week to fix that.
So hopefully, next week it'll work.
*fingers crossed*
Wow, releasing a watch without its own OStore supported seems like a big mistake. Their Facebook discussion also seems to suggest that they'll be pushing an update by the end of the year, so hopefully that holds true.
I was able to install Google search and google now launcher, but google play store won't work without "google play services" and I haven't found a version of that .apk that will not keep crashing on the Truesmart+
Since google play services keeps crashing, the play store stays on a "Checking Info" screen that keeps spinning and spinning...
Same issue here, obviously...
com.google.android.gms_8.4.89_(2428711-234)-8489234_minAPI21(armeabi-v7a)(240dpi).apk should be the correct version of Play Services, but it still crashes on me...
Does anyone have any newer versions of the Services Framework and Account Manager APK's?
Anyone, any updates?
Edit: There will be a firmware update this weekend which will pus the OStore... No Play STore, but at least it's something for now...
I just unboxed my truesmart+ today.
I think it is not useful without google service inside.
I can't sync my contact nor get my paid apps on it, it is really a bit disappointing.

Everything appears to be working great
Just curious, if Aptoide does the same thing as the Play Store, did we really need the Play Store? I'm away from my device so I can't test it, but it seems Aptoide has many of the same mainstream apps as the Play Store (Maps, YouTube, etc)
Could someone please answer my question re: Aptoide? Is this a viable alternative? (from a technical perspective, please no need to go into politics) Thanks.

Aptoide will work for free apps, if you install "My Paid Apps" from Aptoide you may also be able to install some of your paid apps as well. Aptoide's biggest drawbacks are much smaller number of apps, less security, sometimes apps do not get updated as often, not all paid apps will be accessible.
Another option is Amazon App Store.

Aptoide is a viable alternative to Google Play, but only if you are very careful and very skilled at being able to recognize and avoid trojanized versions of apps. The majority of people hosting apps there are well intentioned, I guess, but there are also a large number of maliciously modified apps to be found there, and cracked premium pay apps are included.
Using Aptoide over the Play Store, then, is not a good idea unless you are very skilled or have other means of avoiding Android malware mixed in with the many legitimate apps available there. If you get apps there that are really hosted there by their real original developers, for example, you can feel pretty secure.

You can download the .apk files from the play store by using this website: http://apps.evozi.com/apk-downloader/.
This procedure should be safe and maleware free.
