Hello !
I have an "old" HTC Incredible S but with an Android 4.4.2 ROM .
Today I have bought Heart Rate Sensor for running but that use Bluetooth Smart technology. My phone can't find BLE (bluetooth low energy) sensor
So, I have some questions :
- Why my phone doesn't support BLE even if I run on Android 4.4.2 ?
- Is there solution to implement BLE libraries in ROM?
- Is there another solution ?
Thank you !

Hi All,
I want to buy the Fitbit Force watch but on their site it says it Android 4.3+ and Bluetooth 4.0 and with regard to HTC, it says:
Many of the devices with Bluetooth 4.0 have insufficient Bluetooth libraries. We have filed a bug report with HTC. Please contact your device manufacturer about any updates.
Any ideas if this will work somehow before I buy?
Bluetooth libraries (or lack of) are a software issue. If you flash an AOSP ROM such as CM11 then it should work fine.

Hello,
Currently, I am working on Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) remote with my company.
We would connect our remote with a Google Nexus 7 tablet using BLE.
We searched few information concerning data frequency reception but we did not found good answers.
Question :
- Is 100Hz data frequency supported by BLE Android ?
- If yes, what is the maximum payload we could send ? We would like to send 14 data in our payload.
Thank you in advance for your answer.
Best regards.
Alex
Hello!
I use my Android phone as a OBD scanner (with a bluetooth elm327 interface).
I started using it with Android 1.8 on my HTC HD2.
I had no problem up to Samsung S3 with Android 4.1.2.
After I upgrade to Android 4.2 (with the same S3, or with Huawei G700) and 4.4 (on LG G3 and OnePlusOne),
I need to pair my bluetooth OBD scanner every time I restart it (my scanner has a power on/off button).
This is very unuseful!!!
Someone can tell me why?
How can I solve?
Thank you in advance!

What brand Bluetooth device is this? Does this only occur on your OBD scanner and not your other devices after the update?

Bluetooth scanner is "Vgate" branded.
That occur not only with my device after update (S3 from Android 4.1.2 to 4.2),
but with all device with Android 4.2 and over (Huawei G700, OnePlusOne, LG G3 D855).
No problem with Android 4.1.2 device (HTC HD2 with SD Android 4.1.2 and lower, S3 before update).
Why?
I suppose something changes in Bluetooth driver on Android 4.2 and newer...
Hello everybody!
I was looking for the possibility of setting my android device with a Miui v7 ROM as a Bluetooth audio sink/receiver. Surpisingly, in my w10 PC I discovered that I was able to set up my previously bt-paired phone as a playback device (see atachment).
After lot of searching, it is indeed a surprise because I thought there wasn't any way that my smartphone could be the receiver.
That's why I want to know if it is possible to port this feature to my nexus 7/any other ROM.
Hi,
I am trying to get my Kevo smart lock to work but it appears the HTC M8 is compatible with it due not having BLE support. Does anyone have any idea to see if we can somehow enable this? Google mentioned the lollipop release came with BLE support but it was not embedded into the M8 update.
Thanks!
