On my stock GS5, within the default music player, Facebook Messenger chat heads will not show up when selecting it from the notifications bar. If another notification is selected, for instance, gmail, the music player will display the fully expanded chat heads on top of gmail. If chat heads are visible on another app, switching to the default music player will make the chat heads disappear into the background. Can anyone else replicate this with their device?

I've selected a certain sms notification sound through messaging but when i recieve a text message it plays the default notification sound. i've also noticed when i go into the messaging settings and try to change the sound it jumps from default notification to whatever sound i selected on its own. any help would be great
now it seems that my phone picks which sounds to play. its only in messaging though

I have a question regarding the stock lockscreen (i.e. the default touchwiz lockscreen):
When I receive an email I see no notification on the lockscreen but when I receive a sms message I see a notification on the lockscreen. Can anyone tell my how I can enable it so I can see a email notification on the lockscreen area? And I am not talking about a notification in the notification on the top, which I get. I am using the Samsung email client (i.e the default one).

I'm searching for this as well. I didn't even know that new sms notifications would show up on the lock screen until this morning.
It's a really nice built in feature. If it would show emails and missed calls too I wouldn't need an app which would be preferred.
I haven't seen anywhere to edit anything other than the wallpaper of the lockscreen although the manual makes it sound like you can simply long press to edit.
Is this hidden in Samsung Apps or somewhere we wouldn't think to look?

Missed calls show too. I guess just Emails don't which is a little odd.
Only missed calls and text messages show on the lock-screen, the only customization allowed on stock lock-screen is clock position and of course the lock-screen wallpaper.
Music widget will also show on lock screen if your using the Samsung music player

Emails would be really nice. A quick link to the camera would be the only other thing.
Good enough for me to not use an app (widgetlocker) though.

I don't like the fact that Google Music hijacks my lockscreen with its widget while playing. Is there a way to remove that feature?
Additionally, are there any other music apps that support Google Music (especially tapping into the cloud)? Finally, do any of those other music apps have the ability to disable their lockscreen widget, if they have one?

Im trying to set notification tone for Whatsapp messages, but when prompted to complete the action, I have no valid app to view system sounds (audio files gives me a blank list).
I have to mention that the notification tones are accessible for Clock app, and for Default alerts sound).
I'm with the official Miui 10.0.4 Global version.
Is this normal? should I install a 3rd party app to access system notification tones?
I'm using a Sony XZ Premium with the latest Android 9 software.
Facebook Messenger has really been a pain. Whenever I modify it's notification categories after a couple of hours it deletes the notification category I modified and re-creates it. At the bottom of the screen there's a counter - 245 categories deleted.
Messenger -> App Info -> Notifications
My question is how to prevent it from deleting it. I want to disable Messenger's chat notifications' sound and leave only the green led & chat previews pop-ups. There is no "None" sound in Messenger options and you either disable notifications totally or not and when I choose None in Android Notifications it deletes the chat category and re-creates it with sound picked.
