So right off the bat I have very little knowledge of rooting and flashing roms. I did however successfully unlock, root and flash CM10 onto my AT&T HOX a few months ago. I want to try out the ViperX rom but after reading the install instructions I noticed that I needed to have HBOOT 1.31 or higher and I have 1.14. The only way to get the higher HBOOT is to have a compatible CID # from what I can tell mine isnt on the list included in the link that they posted. Is it really required? What would be my options if I wanted to change to the ViperX Rom?
Thanks in advance!

first off you are posting to the HTC One forum not the HTC One X. You are aware that flashing roms not made for your device will brick your device, right? If you have a HTC One X find out if it is the AT&T version and make your way over the the right forum. If it is the HTC One Turge confirmed on facebook that he will be making a viper rom for the HTC One. Just wait
Hello all,
Is the rogers HTC One a m7att device or m7ul?
I was unable to install the m7att aokp nightly. I was getting a "Status 7" error, and according to a few resources online, that error appears when you try to install a rom not meant for that device.
Hi everyone. I am totally new at this. I have a HTC One S S4 . It has TWRP 2.7.1.0. The device is also S-Off-ed. Can I run ANY custom rom or does it have to be specifically for the device? I was under the impression. Now that it is S-Off i can run any rom?? I wanted to try the new HTC One rom. IDK if that is ok or not? Any input is GREATLY appreciated.
Thanks in advance

You can run any rom that is specifically stated to work with your phone. If you are updating to a higher version, you might need to flash the appropriate firmware so the radio and touch sensors work properly. So you can't use an HTC One rom, but you can use one that has been ported to your device from it.
Can someone tell me where i can find a tutorial and the programs for root the phone and install kernel and rom or any rom but i need to change the stock one is making me crazy.
Hello all,
I don't know if this is the correct place to ask however ...
I recently got a HTC desire 620 to tide me over a few months and I cannot seem to find a custom rom to update it beyond 4.4.4 at all! everywhere seems to be empty.
The phone is stuck and has no updates and some apps don't support 4.4 anymore!
Any help?
