*** DISCLAIMER ***
I AM NOT RESPONSIBLE IF YOU MESS UP YOUR PHONE! OR IF YOU LOSE ANY DATA, ITS CALLED BACK IT UP BEFORE HAND!
Word to the wise if you don't know how to use RSDLite or Fastboot to restore your phone then leave this thread now please! You need to backup everything on your internal storage before you install this in case you need to restore back. If using the Safestrap version of this rom you need to flash it to the STOCK SLOT and flash the 4.4.2+ KitKat kernel and the 4.4.2+ baseband. If you're already on the 4.4.2 kernel and baseband the 4.4.4 versions are optional. If you're Unlocked you need the 4.4.2+ baseband for your phone model the 4.4.4 versions are optional. YOU'VE BEEN WARNED!
***This is Krypton for the Moto X, it is now based on the stock Vzw 4.4.4 rom modified to work on all Moto X models Unlocked or Safestrapped.
***The ROM zip is built for the Verizon XT1060 by default(that's the model I own), all other models need to flash their model specific patch after flashing the ROM zip, Enjoy!
Features;
-Debloated 288mb of apps
-Added init.d support
-Odexed and ART compatible
-Rooted with SuperSU (thanks to Chainfire)
-Blacked out the framework's background no more gradient
-AOSP Signal icons
-For the Safestrap version added Reboot and Reboot to Safestrap to the power menu
-For the Unlocked version added Reboot and Reboot to Recovery to the power menu
-Removed the lame Safe Volume prompt
-All apps have been updated to the current Play Store version and re-odexed
-Some Misc Build.prop edits to enable Usb Debugging and to Force GPU rendering by default
-Switched the default I/O Scheduler to Row via init.d in the Safestrap version and via the Kernel in the Unlocked version
-Added a few Ringtones from the Droid Maxx's stock ROM, and a Ringtone that I have used since my Droid X
-Disabled the Motorola Setup and Enabled the Stock Setup Wizard
-Added the apps Nova Launcher, AdAway, and Terminal Emulator (thanks to those devs for their apps)
-Removed the IME toggle from the status bar when keyboard is open
-Set all animations to off by default in the framework
-Added the odexed versions of Google Calender, DeskClock, Email, Exchange, Google Keyboard, and Google Keep from the Nexus 5 then updated to the latest Play Store version
-Added CM's Calculator, Google Voice, and Google's Device Manager
-Busybox installed
-Entitlement check bypassed
-Wifi radio removed from Airplane Mode
-All apk's Zipaligned
-For Unlocked users my K006 kernel is the default kernel it you want the stock 4.4.4 kernel it's below
---Based on the 4.4.4 kernel source
---It was cross compiled with Linaro 4.7 toolchain
---Futex kernel vuln patched
---Kernel is up patched to 3.4.90
Known Issues:
-With animations disabled, the dialer and hangouts have some weird issues opening and closing the keyboard.
---To fix set the Animator duration scale to .5x in Developer options.
---I can't stand animations they slow everything down, and I like a snappy phone, so if the dialer or hangouts issues bother you, change the setting I'm not changing it in the ROM.
Installation Instructions
Safestrap Version
-If you are already on 4.4.2+ then boot into Safestrap and factory reset, do not wipe the /system then install to the STOCK slot, if you're on a AT&T Xt1058 flash it's patch after the rom. Then Vzw XT1060 users if you want to run the stock 4.4.4 Kernel and Baseband, go to my stock 4.4.4 thread and download my utility to flash the Kernel and Baseband. When finished reboot and Enjoy!
-If your not on 4.4.2 and have a XT1060 then go here and follow the instructions from my stock rom thread Vzw STock 4.4.4 I don't feel like reposting them in here.
Unlocked Version
-Boot into TWRP 2.8.1.0 or CWM(haven't tested on this so let me know if it works) factory reset, do not wipe the /system flash the ROM, if on any model other than the XT1060 find your model patch below and flash after the ROM. When finished reboot and Enjoy!
-If you have a XT1060 you can go to the link above and download my Flashing Utility if you would like to flash the 4.4.4 Baseband also, it's optional!

This is for a XT1060, you can try flashing it but you would probably need to swap build.prop files.

I assume no active display? Thanks for this new rom!
Will try when get home. I have xt1053. So, will change build.prop to gsm one.
This rom is great. Clean , fast, great battery life on my unit for some reason. Have not tried any custom kernels with it, but i might give it a shot.

I have created a GSM Patch for Krypton. It is a flasheble zip file. It will delete all Verizon's apps and libs left in the ROM and replace build.prop file with the one from XT1053 but with saved Krypton 1.1 build version.
I can't flash the rom unlocker version. Error with TWRP. I have moto x europe XT1052 version bootloader unlocker... Great work And thanks in advance...

There's no way to enable trackball wake in Gingerbread stock ROMs. I hope Google will fix this in next major update.
If you need it you have to flash CM7 or a CM-based ROM with tbwake feature enabled.
look this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=994327 the ROM is STOCK

it's AOSP, not based on the OTA.
I know this was true so far for gingerbread stock. Is it possible that it may have been changed with this 2.3.4 update?

right, and all parts regarding trackball wake are extracted from cyanogenmod github repo (kudos to CM team!), so it's partially CM-based
I hope Google will reimplement the needed APIs in next major update (Honeycomb or Ice Cream Sandwich)

Quick reminder to everybody that wants to use Video calls!
IT DOES WORK !!!
I just tested it:
In both situations, I initiated the call and the other side (online on gmail.com) could initiate both video and voice calls.
The other side could see my phone camera image, I could see the other side webcam image, the other side could hear my voice and I could hear the othe side voice.
Thanks a lot for the chef, for google and for this guy http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1056793 for the lib and modified apk.
Just for ppl to know... I did everything at once on recovery. Installed the ROM and flashed the gtalk... 1st time the phone booted was already working!

[ROM][Nov 09] Navalynt's Optimized Base | RC1 Update 2 | 1.23.1540.1 | T6UL (GSM Only)
Introduction
My intention with this ROM is to create an optimized but stable base that I can use for my daily ROM and from which others can customize for their own ROM releases. I have no intention of spending large swathes of my time with programming and debugging for custom features, many of which can be added through the Xposed Framework. As much as I would like to do that I just don't have the time so please don't take offense to the fact that I have no feature request section and may just plain say no if asked to add something.

Please feel free to take this base and build off of it to create your own custom ROMs!

How to install a Custom Recovery
There are two current options from Flyhalf205
TWRP v2.6.3.0
CWM v6.0.4.4 (touch or classic)
It doesn't really matter which one you use, it's all personal preference. Just download one, reboot to the bootloader (Power + Vol Up), and flash using the command fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
After flashing the recovery you'll want to reboot into the recovery and IMMEDIATELY make a NANDROID BACKUP. There are no RUUs available (that I know of) so if something goes wrong you need a backup you can restore! My personal recommendation is that you backup to an external SD card and also keep a copy of the clockworkmod or twrp backup store on your computer for safe keeping.

How to Install the ROM
ROM performs a FULL WIPE (except for internal/external SD storage)
First of all, have you made your NANDROID BACKUP yet?
Copy the ROM to either Internal or External SD (doesn't really matter)
Reboot to recovery and flash the zip file!

I can't really talk about the base except that the 1540 designation in the build number says it's a developer edition. The only way to know if it's going to work on your phone is to try it out. Just make a nandroid first so if it doesn't work you can just restore your stock ROM.
It should work so long as your phone model is t6ul.

The RIL files within the ROM are for US bands, so from what you are describing it's possible this ROM simply will not work with your carrier.
Edit: Added as a known issue for now. It would be awesome if at least one more person on O2 or an O2 based MVNO would test and verify.
After half day running, the Rom is quite stable, smooth, thanks guy.

Because my phone is unlocked it wouldn't matter if I used Vodafone, tmobile or 3, the mobile internet settings were completely greyed out and, when I inputted a code into dialer and went to phone settings it was set to wcdma

Unlocked just means you can put in another carriers SIM card. If your phone wasn't unlocked you would get a popup asking to enter a subsidy code.
The RIL is the radio interface layer. In simplest terms it acts as the go-between for the operating system and the actual cellular radio on the phone. If the ROM has a RIL file that is not compatible with the radio in your phone then cellular data will simply not work.
That is what the problem sounds like to me because restoring your nandoid (going back to stock) fixed the issue. I've tested this ROM on several handsets with several SIM cards and had reports via PM from several users that this ROM is working fine for them so the only thing I can think of an incompatibility between the RIL and cellular radio.
We're still in the infant stages of development for the HTC One Max so there's probably going to be several other pronounced differences between handsets depending on where they are sold.
One thing you could try is pulling these files from your stock ROM and pushing them to the custom ROM:
/system/lib/libhtc_rilhook.so
/system/lib/libril.so
/system/lib/libril-qc-qmi-1.so
/system/lib/libril-qcril-hook-oem.so
The easiest way to do this would be use adb pull on your computer while booted as stock, then replace those files in the ZIP for the custom ROM before transferring it to your phone to flash.

How about Viper4Android instead. There are A LOT of extra options to customize the audio with that than with Beats (which is really just a equalizer preset). Plus it's still being actively developed and the developers don't mind integration with custom ROMs so long as proper credit is given for the work.

I'll see if I can put together a supplimental ZIP file tomorrow which adds Viper4Android and update a FAQ section with info on it as well some info on using ROM Cleaner v2.0 to get rid of the Sense elements that are unwanted. I personally get rid of most of it but I don't want to maintain a separate "slim" rom or start maintaining a fancy Aroma installation unless it's absolutely necessary.

[ROM][4.2.2][XXCMK1][N5100/N5105] MoleculeROM v0.2 [19 Feb] [Updated Apps][Stable & Smooth]
MoleculeROM v0.2 - 19 Feb 2014
NOTE:
I am not a developer, just a modder and an Android enthusiast.
I create/mod/build ROMs and kernels for myself, and want to share with XDA members.
I don't want anything in return, my work might not fit your needs.
Thanks.
ROM INFO:
This ROM is for Stock Touchwiz users who want fast and stable ROM.
Purpose of this ROM:
Give users latest software (both firmware and apps)
Delete some bloatware that might use battery or annoy users some way.
Do not edit much system files and try to be stable as possible, stay close to stock ROM.
FEATURES:
Compatible with N5100 and N5105 (Phone calls are enabled for N5105)
ROM is based on latest 4.2.2 JellyBean N5100XXCMK1 Stock ROM
Includes stock kernel and radio
Updated all gapps and Samsung Apps to latest version (09 Feb. 2014). So you do not need to update all apps via Play Store.
Deodexed,zipaligned all apps
Includes latest version of busybox.
Not rooted by default
Deleted Hub apps but includes SApps
Includes Photo and Video Editor apps for easy editing from Gallery.
HOW TO INSTALL:
I recommend full wipe (cache, dalvik cache, system, data) if you are coming from other ROM and wiping system and cache, dalvik cache if you are upgrading. Just use TWRP or CWM recoveries and flash ROM. Afterwards you can flash kernel, bloatware remover and SuperSU.
REMOVING BLOATWARE:
By default I didn't removed much apps, because some users might need them, some apps are not installable from Play Store (at least in some countries)
But I created a ZIP that you can flash and remove bloatware and get a "Lite" ROM:
BLOATWARE REMOVER v0.1: http://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=23329332407570525
This will remove: Help, Kies Air, AwesomeNote, PeelTab, WatchON, Link, PaperArtist, Earth, Keep, CloudPrint, Dropbox, Magazines (Newstand), Books, Play Games, Nova
If you are rooted, you can remove apps you want manually.
ROOTING
Download and flash SuperSU:
http://download.chainfire.eu/supersu
Why I don't include SuperSU or Xposed Framework and modules:
Some users don't want them.
It is really easy to install them if you want.
Apps from Play Store or Sapps can easily (even automatically) updated, but they require user action and if my ROM gets old, users might have security/stability issues.
Changelog
Code:
===v0.2===:
*Updated some gapps to latest version (Maps, Hangouts)
*Multi-user activated (Like other ROMs S-note only works for main user.)
*Some minor fixes

You can flash it with TWRP, follow the instructions in How To Install, after flashing ROM, if you want your tablet to be rooted, just flash SuperSU zip I mentioned in Rooting section.

Sorry, I don't have N5100 and I don't want anything to go wrong with your device.
i once accidentally flashed civ's 5100 rom on my 5110. if the partitions are all the same then quite possibly the only thing that'll happen is that you'll have a little annoying "no cell signal" on your notification bar. i think wanam can get rid of that. other than the modem, they're pretty much the same device.

Can you please make a mod or a tutorial on how to disable or delete the modem from your Rom so we can be able to use it on the Wifi N5110 Tablet .
Thanks in advance
It is a very nice rom. I delete all the bloatware and is very fast and clean.
Thanks

Lockscreen shortcut option
Lockscreen shortcut option is gone on your ROM.
Setting > lock screen > Screen lock : swipe > swipe option
No shortcut on the swipe option? Is there a way to enable it?
Thanks.
Delete app
I flashed this ROM and Superuser
How can I delete system app without using bloatware remover ? I can't find a way to delete app that i don't use eg, kies air newsstand
Use a root file explorer like ES File Explorer and remove unwanted apks from /system folder. But make a backup off all of them before removing. Reboot your device and all should be fine...

@scrosler you are the man... I do have one request. If it's not to much can you add the volume mod (skip track) to the rom? Or maybe a flash zip. Thanks.
No issues on clean install and AT&T.
Why can't I uninstall Nova like any other app?

Because I replaced the stock Google Now Launcher with the Nova Launcher.
So now its part of System.
You can remove it but I would download / install launcher of choice then use the Settings -> Apps to disable it if you dont like it.
BTW: What are you going to use for a launcher?

I had to go into APN and change to T-Mobile then go into APN setting and change APN protocol to ipv4. It is on ipv6 probably that was my solution for my problem
The APN protocol and APN roaming protocols are the ones that need changing. They should look like this. Don't worry about the rest of the APN settings

I Always build a ROM like this for myself on any device I own. I always share them even if there are other ROMs out there that are similar. Feel free to download, mirror, and share the ROM with others if you like it.
Instructions
Download the ROM and copy it to the phone storage. Reboot phone into recovery (twrp recommended) and install the ROM. During installation the /system, /cache and davlik-cache will be wiped for you so there is no need to do this manually. You do not have to do a full wipe including /data, although this *is* recommended for your first installation. Subsequent releases of this rom will fully support an existing /data partition.
First boot will take a little longer than usual, and if you have done a full wipe you will need to set the phone up following the normal OOB wizard. If, when running the OOB wizard, it indicates a problem "contacting google servers" simply hit back (lower left soft button) then next again and it will work normally.
As of v1-03, StockMOD ROM uses my custom kernel, StockMOD Kernel. Because we cannot generate signed kernel images, SE Linux has to be disabled. This will break "Private Mode". Please do not ask me to fix that, I cannot.. You can view the kernel thread here

v1-02
- Added missing CSC, based on UK BTU Firmware CSC. Other regions will need manual keyboard language download (keyboard settings) and APN settings applied if not automagically detected
- Added WiFi Calling, Shutter Sound Control , Camera during call CSC Tweaks
v1-01
- Bit more of a cleanup
- Reworked build.prop tweaks for more speed and smoothness
v1-00

Info for other Devs
Feel free to disassemble and use any part of my rom you wish. However, please remember to give due credit to others if you include any components of their work.
If you like the structure of my flashable .zips please feel free to copy, alter and implement it in your own releases. I find it gives the rom a much more modular feel when building and testing, and opens up more options for special inclusions without modifying the base files itself.

I see you completely removed smart manager.
