I bricked my lg g2.... please help me - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

so I managed to root my device without bricking it
and now I needed the twrp recovery thing so I could install cm 10.2

when I rebooted my device it said safe reboot error or something.. and now it does nothing (freaking out here)
it won't turn on even when I try to reboot into recovery when I put it in my pc it shows like 10 storage devices that I need to format
pleasse help me (I had this phone for less than a week now))))))

First step: Don't panic!
Second step: Tell us which version of the G2 you have (carrier) and which update you had on before things went south, and also which version of TWRP you have.
Third step: Please explain what you mean by it not turning on but plugging it into the PC shows odd things.
Does that mean you CAN still get into recovery? Can you get to download mode? But either way, just stay calm. I just helped my buddy with the ATT version fix his phone from a similar issue a couple of days ago and I have also played with the Sprint version quite a bit and am familiar with LGs in general. Lemme know these things and I can help get you back on the right track.

Can you get into recovery mode?
If you can, try the factory reset and reboot your device.
Does your phone connect to adb?
If so i guess you could flash a fresh rom from there.
Correct me if i'm wrong, i am a new user with slight experience.

Same Thing Happened to Me
I'm freaking out a bit as well. I tried the Flashify method of installing TWRP and got the error message followed by a blank unresponsive phone. Got there via a "Phone Tech Kid" video explaining how to install TWRP. Plugging it into my computer results in being able to open a "drive" with one folder titled "image". The image file that I flashed is 2.6.3.2-g2vzw obtained via a link from this video:
Has anyone come up with a solution?

Probably would be best to start your own thread. However, what update were you on? I'm hoping that you do have the Verizon version of the G2? What error is on the screen? But generally speaking, you should be able to boot to the software update mode and re-install the stock OS with the kdz file, for most G2 things. I haven't worked on a VZW one though, only Sprint and T-Mobile ones and they're all a bit different.

"The Saga of the KU3700 User" Custom Recovery Working!!!

Chapter 1: The Foolishness of the User
Hi, I have the korean version of the optimus one(KU3700). It was on gingerbread(2.3.4) stock. I was trying to root it by downgrading it. I entered "adb reboot recovery" and I'm stuck. I tried to reflash it by going to emergency mode with the button combinations using the KDZ updater with this
"csmg. lgmobile. com:9002/swdata/WEBSW/LGKU3700/AKTFBK/KU370040_00/KU370040_00.kdz"
and it worked without any errors but when it when it came up it was still on recovery mode. Is there any way I can change the phone mode to the regular mode
Chapter 2: Journey to Salvation
For anyone who has this korean optimus one, after days of searching, I've found a web site that gave me hints to solve the problem. I just needed a different kdz file and I got it here:
h t t p://sirospace.tistory.com/category/Android%E2%97%86
popped it in google translate because I'm Filipino and can't read korean.
Downloaded the froyo kdz and flashed. I hope this can help other people stupid enough to play with their phones by typing random commands without knowing what it does, like me, LOL...so happy, now it's time to root
Chapter 3: False Hope
OK so I have successfully unbricked and rooted my KU3700, now The problem I have is installing a custom recovery on this phone, none of the images I try work.
Recovery images I have tried are as follows:
recovery-RA-GNM-thunderg-1.1.0.img
recovery-RA-GNM-thunderg-2.2.1.img
recovery-RA-GNM-thunderg-3.0.6.img
Every time it finishes and reboots, it gets stuck at the LG logo.
Chapter 4: Wisdom Within
Found the problem. The images above are for the P500.Even if the KU3700 hardware is similar to the P500, flashing firmwares made for the other model will result in errors. The same holds true for custom recoveries.
Chapter 5: The Plea to the Gods
I've contacted drellisdee and submitted the files needed for custom recovery creation for the KU3700.
Just waiting for the flash image now. Thank you everyone
Chapter 6: The Forgotten
It seems drellisdee is busy right now. I'm a windows user and knows nothing about programing. So if anybody can help I'm sure the KU3700 community would be greatful. I've attached the files I think are needed to make a custom recovery.
Chapter 7: Quest for the Custom Recovery
I got tired of waiting. So as a windows user with no experience in programming, I did a lot of copying and pasting, I managed to port clockwork mod using virtualbox following this website:
h t t p://www.koushikdutta.com/2010/10/porting-clockwork-recovery-to-new.html
So I have got a bootable and flashable custom recovery but nothing works yet. I still need to configure it according to the device.
I have uploaded the image and the build files. Please help me configure it and tell me what's wrong. I really don't know that I'm doing
PS: you can try flashing the custom recovery by doing "fastboot flash recovery /Path to/recovery.img and you can go to recovery by using android terminal and type "boot recovery". It will boot, but that's that LOL. Take out the battery to boot to normal mode.
Chapter 8: The Holy Grail
LOL, I found the answer again. I was so frustrated that I kept squishing the phone in recovery and found out that it was just a button configuration problem. A bit of research and I found out that I can toggle it by pressing volume up and volume down at the same time. WOOHOO!!! Custom Recovery at last
Chapter 9: Invasion of the ROMS
And here at last, the user is retired. But the adventure is far from over. It is foretold that the creation of the Custom Recovery will begin a new era. The key to open the gate has been found. So our hero will await the invasion of the ROMS<background music...> END

Thank you for the reply but as I said, I can flash fine without errors it's getting back to regular mode I have a problem with. Rebooting and reflashing does not take me out of the recovery screen(it's just a opened box with an orange arrow and the android logo).

This is just a shot in the dark because i didn't understand what you did entirely : have you used the combination to actually recover the stock rom after you flashed with KDZ ? (Home+VolDown+Power)
Yes already did. The computer can see the phone whenever I connect it except that I can't access adb. I may have to take this back to the store

Are you sure you flashed the right rom for your phone? There's an application that downloads the required rom for your phone according to your IMEI/SN, but i don't know if it works with the korean version.
Yes it's the KDZ file, unfortunately it's the only KDZ file out there for ku3700. Shouldn't have settled for this korean version
why you wanna downgrade the latest version?
Dude I have the same Korean edition as you.
Actually why you wanna downgrade the latest version.?
My phone had 2.2.2 and I did upgrade it into 2.3.4 I did it officially and I can tell you How to re-install 2.3.4 if you want.

Thanks for the reply. I wanted to downgrade it to root it. And now I'm rooted. My only problem now is installing a custom recovery. I've already tried several custom recoveries:
recovery-RA-GNM-thunderg-1.1.0.img
recovery-RA-GNM-thunderg-2.2.1.img
recovery-RA-GNM-thunderg-3.0.6.img
but I get stuck at the LG logo when it reboots. I think it's because it's for the p500. So if you have a custom recovery for the ku3700 please help
I dont get it ,p504,p505,p506 are versions of p500??? And why some of our roms work on those phones?? So by logic this stock work on p500???

this method worked for my working KU3700 when I'm using my 1st KU3700 I also was struck as you and finely I realized there are No custom roms for Optimus one Korean edition (KU3700/SU370) and I had to connect my phone to an Octopus box (lg softwere box) via software box installed the official firmware. if this method not working you have to connect to a software box.
connect to the internet your PC and 1st install Driver and 2nd install the LG update tool. after installation connect your phone to computer and wait a five seconds for comport installation. after install your phone Run LG Update application.
it is connect to the server automatically indicating red line and after search for latest firmware.
if you can Update your phone it is shows Update butten.

Thank you all for the quick answers, but I already have a rooted ku3700. All I need now is a working custom recovery. If someone has the same phone, please tell me which image is compatible
you can appear the emergency mood with android logo.
it means you have an Empty phone. your Os was been erased. You have to connect your phone to Octopus software box and box server has you original Os for your IMEI. this is the only solution. if you will able to solve this problem without a Software box please inform me. we can open a New Thread for Korean edition.
(ku3700/su370)
I already got out of the emergency mode without an octobus box. It's really simple, you just need to use a different kdz file. The hard part was looking for the kdz file. I have 3 kdz files. KU370017(froyo), KU370033(gingerbread-rootable), KU370040(latest one from LG, gingerbread-unable to root). Just flash with the KDZ updater. I'm on the second firmware because I can't root the latest firmware. To root it, I used super one click(latest version, use zerg rush option). Now I'm just waiting for a custom recovery from drellisdee so I can use custom roms. When I get it, I'll ask him if I can post it so we all can have uber phones LOL

If you have flashed a working clockworkmod you can enter into clockworkmod via ROMManager (search in google play aka market). In ROMManager you have "reboot to recovery" option in case you want to go to recovery to flash something. Also you can try to flash from ROMManager a custom recovery (5.0.2.0 for oldBB or 5.0.2.7 for newBB), try to choose to phone model LGP500 oldBB, try and test if it's working. Wish you luck.
Thanks but I already have a working recovery. I just need some ROM makers now

Have you tried CM7.2? if your phone is very similar with Optimus One i doubt it isn't compatible with your phone.
If your phone use 2.6.35.10 or 2.6.35.14 kernel you can give a shot to try CM7.2 on your phone, but before try this make a backup first.
Check this thread Post Your CyanogenMod 7.2.0-RC1 Nightly Questions HERE!! for CM7 custom rom.
yep, it doesn't work. Is there a tutorial for building cyanogen for unsupported devices? All I can find are tutorials for supported devices. I've already got the source code from LG. The problem is just incorporating it in the cyanogen mod. I wish this phone had more users LOL

I was trying to flash rom, I was trying to make in international phone so it could work in Europe with out any Verizon build in stuff, just pure Samsung.
I can go do download mode, I was able to go for recovery before. That why there is the 4th picture, in stead of regular recovery a had that "teamwin" screen. Now when I press up menu and power is saying its going to recovery boot but then it resets it self and going back to Samsung unlock icon screen and just stays there...
You hold volume down + power to get to download mode. Then connect to a pc and download the all in one tool found in the development thread. Ignore the messages about having your phone in USB debugging and tell it to flash twrp 2.6.0.0. If it doesn't take In download mode, try rebooting your phone while it tries to flash twrp.
If that doesn't work flash stock with Odin and re-root and unlock the phone.

I'm having the exact same problems right now. I tried flashing a 4.3 i9505 rom and now I can't get back into recovery and I can't boot into the OS. I can get into download mode and use ODIN, but I don't know what to do from there. I tried using the All-In-One tool to install TWRP, but it just says Device Not Found. I also tried flashing the stock sch-i545 kernel in ODIN, and it completed successfully, rebooted, and its still doing the same thing. Is there some other way that I've missed to return to stock? I'm kinda bummin here.. but thats what comes with the territory I suppose. Any help you can offer would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
Found the factory image thread. Going to follow instructions. Will report back.
it works but not completly
So guys going back to my problem I was trying to do everything like lahma69 was trying too...
in odin was error that device not found, all off that...
but what I did, I look more online and I found this one guy...
and what I did in download mode I use odin, and in PDA selection I use this file stockroms(dot)net/file/GalaxyS4/SCH-i545/VRUAMDK_NoWipe.tar.zip
now boom... its kinda works... I am back with my os, I got the android root.
but some things are not right... my phone is very hot, maybe because its charging its self for the first time in weeks.
more important is Whats is happening right now, in boot menu I get errors, no commands, it was not able to do factory reset until I went into os and did it over there... and I cant do software update from Verizon... it goes to root and its trying but then gets error and going back to os...
and I am worry about that file that I download...
so we got little progress and lahma69 I can at least operate os and I have back stock root...
but until we will not going to make it 100% hold on with what I did...
U cant flash a rom thats not made specifically for the verizon variant (i545). The i9505 is the international version of the phone. Hence your phone not booting. Youre going to have to flash the stock mdk firmware through odin and start over (reroot, etc).

sannek, I actually got it back up and running doing the same thing you did. I flashed the factory image in this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2301259
I haven't noticed any problems yet. I'm fixing to reroot and flash my nandroid. I will let you know if I run into any problems.
I know you can't typically flash a i9505 rom on a verizon gs4, but the author of a i9505 4.3 rom gave me some instructions to try in order to get it working. I'm inserting a 4.3 ramdisk into a 4.2 AOSP ktoonsez verizon gs4 kernel, and replacing the boot.img in the 4.3 i9505 rom. I now know that I had accidentally inserted the wrong version kernel, and thats what caused my problems.

My phone seems to be at 100%. I never do software updates through Verizon so I would not know if thats working or not. After I flashed the stock image in ODIN and rerooted my device, I immediately flashed TWRP through Goomanager and reflashed my nandroid (Eclipse TW rom.) Everything is running well and my phone isn't warm. Why are you trying to do a software update? I think there is an update now that can't be rooted, so you definitely don't want to do that...

root problem and upgrate
So I did exactly how xda web site was saying about going back to stock and all of that.
It worked, I can run to os and I have original root.
Still have couple of problems,
1.when u in recovery I see error and no command right below android guy. also I see new info in yellow color, below regular blue recovery screen option. (pic1)
2. information in yellow color is follow: (pic 2)
# MANUAL MODE #
-- Appling Multi-CSC...
Applied the csc-code:VZN
successfully applied multi-CSC.
never see in before, don't know what to do..
3. I cant do regular Verizon software update. S4 resets it self and goes to recovery where is trying to do update but ends um saying error and then is going back to os and its saying that update was not that and that there were no changes applied...(pic 3)

Did you see what I said about doing Samsung software updates? The rooting threads for the Verizon GS4 say that the new VRUAME7 OTA update can't be rooted. After flashing the stock image from oden, why don't you reroot your device according to http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2290798 and then install Goomanager, click the menu key, click "Install open recovery script" and that will install TWRP recovery. From there, flash a verizon rom of your choice and all should be well, no? I only use TWRP so I can't give you any input on other recoveries. Make sure you didn't somehow get updated to VRUAME7.

Well I am not that good with all of it... I don't know a lot of meanings of all this like TWRP, Eclipse TW rom, or what you said u did on post #7785
so I am just trying to be able to make it run like new, and then if I do that I will try to work on my s3 and practice on that...
I am beginner in it... plus my English abilities are not that great, so I really don't know which root is the best or how to do it with out messing up entire phone. I love to dig into it, and my s4 was just laying broken for past month and I worked on in today with you guys and its almost working... I almost made claim from insurance for new phone but this one starts working today..
and looks like everything is fine with it
except root errors and no commands ,I cant wipe cash because its crashing and restarting and I cant do that software update, and I have that manual multi csc note in recovery system like I mention just on top with pictures...

Do you currently have root? To check, you can run the "SuperUser" app. If you don't have it, download it from the Play store. After installing it, run it, and a box should pop up asking you for superuser permissions. Click "Grant." If a message pops up that says something like "Superuser has been granted superuser permissions," then you have root. If you don't have root, you need to get it. Follow the instructions at http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2290798 . After performing those instructions, and verifying you have root, you need to download an application called "Goomanager" from the play store. After installing and opening it, click your "Menu" key (bottom left hand corner of your phone.) A menu will pop up. Click "Install open recovery script." Click Yes or Ok to all the pop up messages. After that completes, you will have TWRP recovery installed. Your recovery is what you boot your phone to in order to flash new roms, kernels, etc. In order to boot into recovery, turn off your phone completely, click and hold your volume up button, and power on your phone (while still holding volume up.) You should see some tiny blue text pop up in the top left hand corner of your screen that saying "Opening recovery" (or something to that effect.) Once you see that text, you can let go of volume up, and you will boot into TWRP. Let me know if you get this far...

And thats the most important part, because if you do you will lose root and your ability to customize your phone. In layman's terms? You will be re-VZ-navigated.
I am having a similar issue. Got the "Samsung Custom" boot screen with no boot to the OS after clean wipe and install of Hyperdrive 7. Since then I have been troubleshooting the issue and have tried many things including the "No-Wipe Factory Image". Once complete I am still getting the Samsung Custom boot screen and no loading of the OS.
Any ideas as to what I can try.
Thanks in advance,
Tony

And by the way, for the love of God, do not do any Samsung system updates.

as my understanding its not.. I just did that no wipe recovery...
sorry I was out of town today... so I assume I will have to do root but which one is the best? there is so many different ones...

Will pay to get phone fixed!

At this point i'm desperate. I flashed my lg g2 with it's original firmware and rooted my phone. Saw the OTA download on notification but didn't touch to install as it said. However, I did restart my phone and I got stuck in a bootloop. Did a factory reset and use twrp adb terminal to write this command: dd if=/dev/zero of=/dev/block/platform/msm_sdcc.1/by-name/fota. However, I get an error saying memory full. So, I tried download mode and tried to reflash my phone that way, however it gets to 4% and then I get hit with a wparam error. I been searching the forums and trying everything with no luck. Anyone in the metro area NYC that can help? I will pay you a 100 bucks if you can get this thing working for me again.
Were you using a custom recovery before bootloop?
I followed this guide and was successful in flashing the phone to it's original state http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2432476 Then I continued to follow the the tut and root the phone, which I was also successful. I continued the follow the tut and flashed twrp and noticed I had the OTA notification. I thought nothing would happen because I didn't touch the notification to install it, however when I flashed and restarted phone I got the lg bootloop. I tried the adb commands that could be found here on xda but I get the error that states something about memory. I then tried to reflash the orginal firmware using the above tutorial but I end up getting a wparam error at 4%. At this point I don't know what to do, adb won't recognize my device so I can't go that route either.

It's time for you to contact customer service of your telecom provider.
In download mode it shows that my phone is rooted. Also, doing a reset takes you to the twrp recovery. Will tmobile be thorough enough to go through all these steps to try to help or will they just switch out the phone for me? I got it back in mid March.
Which phone variant do you have and what ROM did you try to flash?
Tmobile D801, didn't flash any rom. I just flashed the kdz file that was in the tut I linked above. Then I flashed twrp and restarted phone, then bootloop. Saw the OTA notification, however I didn't touch the button to install.

Can you mount a usb stick in twrp via otg? If so you could flash a Rom from there.
if you can enter download mode try the TOT method and make sure you take all the OTA's before rooting it again.
So after reading and searching I finally found out the problem and was able to reflash the firmware. It was so silly but I wanted to thank xda user kimitza for mentioning this in the guide posted in this hread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2498102
All I had to do was use the usb port in the back of my pc rather than the front one. I know it's silly but up until now I have been doing everything from the front usb port but never in download mode. I was able to flash the firmware originally from the front usb the only difference was that I was always in the android os and then it would restart my phone then put me in download mode.
In any case, i'm glad I got my phone working and wanted to thank everyone who took the time to send messages offering help as well as the people here in the thread.

No imei and stuck in lg logo bootloop without computer access...help!

Ok I really did it this time. Here is what i stupidly did. my phone was on the 35b update so I used the tot method to take it back to 10b. I rooted and then used the ota updates to upgrade to 12b, and I believe to more times (of course after telling supersu to stay active thru the updates) until I got to the update that would take me over into lollipop. I downloaded the update, but then needed to charge my phone i noticed, so I told it to postphone the update. After I had a somewhat decent charge I told my g3 to update and it immediately went to twrp recovery. Thinking this odd I tried to reboot and it started to bootloop inside twrp. I tried getting it to do a recovery of a save that i had previously had downloaded to my ext sd before I lost root taking the 35b update and it went all the way thru and said success. But as soon as it rebooted into what should have been the system, It instead started bootlooping at the lg logo and hasnt stopped since. I not have got it to go to recovery but it is stock and twrp is now gone but every option results in simply restarting the bootloop. I plugged into my computer to try both tot and kdz only to have them both fail because now my computer no longer recognizes my device. During the stage that I was in recovery trying to use different predownloaded roms is when I realized that my imei has also been erased, which is why I assume my computer cant recognize it anymore. I know I probably have a list of mistakes that could have been avoided but I tried to do this myself and I admit i simply need the vast knowledge of the xda. Please someone guide me in the right direction to fix my phone. I don't have alot of money to spend to replace it and just really need to fix this one please.

im fairly knowledgeable with the g3, but im not sure i can help you
the consequences of the minor mistake you made (you cant take an ota with twrp on) are unusually severe.
we have a zip to flash that would have fixed it, but it needs to be flashed in twrp, and i dont believe i have ever seen twrp get removed while making this error.
im thinking the only fix is flashing stock. i would try different usb ports, re-install the drivers, and even try another pc, to get it recognized so you can flash it.
if there is some other fix im forgetting maybe someone else will suggest it, but in a bootloop with no twrp to flush the update, i believe your in a bad spot if you cant figure out how to get it to flash.
sorry
that is how my luck goes, thanks for looking into my problem.

I don't know if trying LG Flash Tool 2014 with a 10B KDZ would work any better than the TOT method without an IMEI.

Soft-bricked OPX, Working Fastboot, No Recovery. Need help please.

Hello guys,
I have a problem with my OnePlus X, and it would be lovely if I could get some help or advice from you guys.
> To provide some slight background, I purchased this off of eBay to complete my OnePlus collection. Most listings were above what OnePlus originally sold the phone for, but I found one for $125 in good condition by a seller with a good rating. It was advertised as soft-bricked, with Fastboot in working order. I thought "no problem, I'll just reflash it and be on my merry way."
Now onto the issue. I received it, charged it up, and attempted flashing the official recovery provided by OnePlus, but something is not working. I've been tinkering with Android for a number of years now, so I troubleshooted as much as I could, but to no avail.
1. Starting with device unplugged and powered off, boot into fastboot
2. Plugged into the computer, and ran `fastboot devices` to ensure it's recognized. After that, I flashed the recovery.img that was on my desktop with `fastboot flash recovery recovery.img` (yes I was in the correct directory). It looked successful. Picture of cmd response text at the following imgur album: /a/25DEQ (sorry I cannot post full links yet, had to create a new xda profile, forgot my old one :/
3. Unplugged the phone, powered off, Volume Down + Power to attempt boot into recovery. Failure. It just turns on with the 1+ logo, and quickly flashes the 'android' logo at the bottom. It stays like this until I manually power off.
I'm a bit stumped I have to admit. I would greatly appreciate any input you folks have. Thank you.

Which recovery u tried? Did u knOw the previous os version details?
And try this after flashing recovery in fastboot, boot into it directly by giving a cmd "fastboot boot recovery.img"

Hi! Thank you for your reply
I posted this same question on the /r/oneplus subreddit, and received a quick and helpful walkthrough. Turns out part of the problem was that the micro-usb port on the phone itself is a bit unreliable. I haven't investigated too deeply, but it took a while to find a position for the wire to maintain a stable connection. I suspect this may be why the device was bricked in the first place (disconnect when flashing rom/kernel/etc.)
Anyways, for some reason flashing the stock recovery to the phone was just not working. The guy on reddit recommended trying TWRP, and that worked immediately. However, at that point, I had no idea what the history of the phone was or what OS was on it before, what firmware it had. I tried installing the official CM13 and then Sultan's CM13 with no luck. What *did* work was Oxygen OS 2.2.6.
At this point I'm stuck yet again though... The Marshmallow OTA (3.1.3) in the OS shows as available for download, but when I try to install the download only gets to 22% and then stops. Flashing the 3.1.3 OTA.zip available on OnePlus' support site doesn't work in TWRP, and when I try to flash stock recovery, it doesn't work.. don't know what else to try.

Root your device using twrp or kingoroot method then install flashify and try to flash stock recovery using flashify. .. Tht may work.
Flashing 3.1.3 via official twrp ll not work... Cos ur bootloader version, U can do it only with stock recovery or u need to edit meta data file. Or u can flash stock recovery img file by twrp

Thanks I'll give those a shot once I'm home from work! Quick question about editing the META INF. I've heard that doing so risks hard-bricking the device. Is that true?

Hi OP, sorry for joining late to the party
So the thing is the OnePlus X is at opposites now since the official MM release on 29th September. The thing is if you are running the old bootloader (OxygenOS 2.x.x) or any ROM based on it, then the New TWRP will not boot, neither will the Stock Recovery that is hosted on the OnePlus download section for the X, which is where i assume you download the stock recovery from, right ? Also note that the official recovery hosted on the TWRP website is also yet to be updated, we're working on that.
So you are on the old Bootloader. Simple stuff. I have posted my guide a lot of time around the forums, its gained a lot of merit. You could follow it for your update process. I'll leave a link below. In case you wanna verify that the old bootloader is causing the issue my Index Thread pinned in the general section has a link for the Stock recovery for Old bootloader, try flashing that via fastboot, if it successfully boots then you're set.
Comprehensive guide to Update to Marshmallow Bootloader
The above guide is centered to the thread i have posted it on but the process is 99% the same. In the end, you could just stay with Oxygen OS 3.1.3, or flash any custom ROM based on the new Bootloader.
Now regarding your query about editing the META of the ROM, well Yes to an extent it IS risky if you ain't careful because my guide guides you to delete the one single line that removes the device check, so as long as you use the modified zip on OnePlus X only, there will be no issues.
