Its been a week now since Ive been getting the "server error" on my SGS3. Ive searched and tried ALL methods I could find and still no luck, Ive tried market enabler, rebooting, restarting, re-installing after wiping everything, VPN, another account and still nothing. I dont think its a google issue because it works perfectly fine on my old nexus s T_T. Please heeeeeeeeeeeeeeelp!!!
Also, are the WIND SGS3 identical to the T-Mobile ones? The model numbers are identical except the WIND versions have a V at the end. Maybe I should select T-mobile on market enabler.
I had this same issue on my galaxy player 5.0 when I wiped the play store data. On market enabler I chose verizon and it worked and Its not even a phone. Did you try a factory reset?

I just solved my problem! Since I'm running a newly installed ROM, I wondered if my APN settings were correct (you would think so, since I could browse the net over data). Anyway, I went into the APN settings, and there were several 2Degrees APNs configured. I changed my default from "2degrees mobile" to "2degrees internet", and now Google Play works over data!
Having same problem.
Using Neatrom 3.5 on my S2.
In UK with Giffgaff.
Cant access Play store over 3G/HSPDA+ , But over WiFi its fine.
Tried all the tricks - clear cache, sign in out, reset time, reset phone and reinstalled ROM
If i access play store over WiFi first (then turn WiFi off), then i can at least continue to access/browse it over 3G/HSPDA+, but i can only make new purchases over WiFi and never over Cell data.
Something weird going on

To solve the problem one thing i did was to go to Google Services Framework and clear data, reboot, clear play store data reboot and it should work.
Managed to fix my problem.
I tried all the clearing data/caches, relogging in etc etc and none of that worked.
After reading onlyonejoefish post about his carriers APN settings, it got me thinking.
As i'm in the Uk with GiffGaff i was getting my APN settings from texting "settings" to "2020" and a configuration message came back with them in - and that is what i'd been using.
However i downloaded an app to delete all my phones APN's, then manually inputted my APN settings myself.
This solved my problem, i can now access the play store over cell data
Works with 3G but doesnt work on wifi
I get connection timed out on wifi but when I try with 3G it's working fine.
Using Gingerbread 2.3.6 with root.
Any ideas?

Finally solved the problem
i solved the problem of google in my android by downloading a app from this link below:
downloadhotportal.blogspot.com[/url]
:laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh:
Do this and then this, noting accounts.db has moved to /data/system/users/0/ on Android 4.2. Note: This removes all your accounts from Android not just your Google account, but having to re-add them is a small price to pay for a working Google Play.
After this happened again, I tried an alternative to removing accounts.db which worked well. I created another Google account then went to
menu => Accounts
In Google Play and added my new Google account. Then I switched back to the original account. To clean up I went to
Settings app => Accounts => Google
Selected the new account then selected "Remove account" from the menu button.
Hi, I'm running CyanogenMod 10.1 nightly on my sgh-i777. Everything was working perfectly but now Google play store is not connecting and is only giving the option to retry. The Google account is also not syncing. Internet is working fine through the browser and other apps.
Note: when I open play store a notification pops up "sign into wifi network".
I've tried clearing app data and cache. Tried reflashing gapps. Tried rebooting the phone. Tried dipping the phone in holy water , nothing.
Plz help
Try removing your google account from ur phone. Then re-add it.

i removed the google account and re added it , it says
"couldn't sign in. Cant establish a reliable connection to the server. This could be a temporary problem or your android device may not be provisioned for data services .IF it continues , call customer care. "
even though my phone is connected to wifi.
what is that notification about signing into wifi network? it didnt appeared before but it started appearing when this connection error started.
HELP!!!
Hi All!
I own a desire x which is unrooted, and have been using it for around a year. Recently, Google play has stopped working with MY WiFi only . It keeps on loading showing the circular sign and nothing appears ... However , it works on any other WiFi network or even when I use mobile data ..... I have researched a lot and tried pretty much everything except a factory reset .. any suggestions? I read on some other forum that even a reset didn't fix the problem :/ Please help
If it happens only with your wifi, tell us how is your setup? Which type of wifi router, which security options and so on. Maybe there is something wrong there. Also, have you tried reconfiguring your wifi or even resetting your wifi router?

Reset your router first (just turn it off and then turn it on again) if that doesn't work I think you will have to factory reset your phone
Reset

Factory reset the phone, make a backup of your apps, contact's etc. beforehand
Then, as @GtrCraft said, try a factory reset of your phone (backup important data first!)
Try using a Proxy or alternative way to access the Playstore, can you access from the web browser on you're mobile ? is it possible you're ISP has blocked the Playstore?

Try clearing cache and maybe data for both Google Play services and Google Play Store, if there is "uninstall updates" shown, do the "uninstall updates", reboot and let the Play Store updating again.

Just factory reset the phone...
Found the SOLUTION!
What I did was that I changed my DnS of my WiFi network on my phone to 8.8.8.8(which is the Google dns) and it works!!!!thanks for your responses anyway !!!
Ok, so there exists some kind of DNS block in your WiFi network, strange. But if you don't want to use Google DNS, you can also try OpenDNS (IPs are 208.67.222.222 and 208.67.220.220)
Hi
i got this issue simultaneously on my N5 and N7, both on 4.4.4
i received a google search update yesterday, and since google now doesn't work. it won't connect to network.
i tried removing and adding back my account... not working.
i then even wiped partition cache and did a full reset, but then again google now won't launch, and it tells me "can't connect o network"...
am i the only one experiencing this issue?
PS i did nothing between yesterday and todya, all my devices are stock, no root nothing. and it happened simultaneously on both my devices after the google search update....
You're not the only one.
I also with my HTC one M7 got the update and ever since cannot use the Now features for a lame excuse no network connection is available.
Of course there is running internet connection
I also uninstalled, cleared cache partition and app data with no help...
I guess it's either a server issue or a bad update for the app.
Already sent a bug report to Google earlier today.
and so far i've been trying every "solution" i read on the web for 5 hours.... nothing worked
No, it isn't...
As I already wrote, I guess either server fix or app fix will be the solution.
Probably nothing we can do on our side.
And it works, just like that this morning...
