So does this mean that all international ROMs should work with our device? Pretty sure the hardware is identical (although I might be wrong - correct me if I am) so I see no reason why they wouldn't. Would love some insight from someone with more knowledge, however.

I installed AllianceROM from the international forum and it worked fine on my T-Mobile phone. Somebody else flashed Omega ROM and that worked too.

Yes I am currently running the Omega v1.3 rom
I am running it and it works Absolutely perfectly! If anyone is also having a problem with Shealth working after installing Xposed it seems to fix it. Just a few warning thought that I thought I would post.
1) After flashing it will flash all your internal storage - Backup everything first, Also I would move the zip to an external Sdcard before flashing.
2) Even if you select no wipe in aroma while upgrading, it still seems to wipe everything including your internal storage.

I apologize I just thought that people would look under the rom section instead of the general for working roms. I also thought that maybe a dev or master chef might want to use it for their roms Again I apologize and thank you for moving it to the correct section.

Yeah, I was thinking about trying to get permissions of a few international roms to try and alter the upater script and edit a few things to make them more compatible with the us roms.
There are several INT'L ROMs that work great with TMO USA S5.
Just look Here:

No need to "port"
Just flash it!
I'm assuming that WIFI calling does NOT work with this ROM, correct?

Wifi calling is a tmobile specific addition, so won't be included in international roms.

I have flashed EVERY ROM that has been posted on the International S5 threads and they all work with the TMOBILE S5
Alliance Rom is phenomenal - Omega is great - so is Echo - The only thing yoiu have to get used to is that you lose WiFi calling. I am using a TMOBILE S5 on the ATT network so it doesn't matter to me anyway - ATT doesn't support WiFi calling - but to be honest, the benefits of flahsing these roms far outweighs the benefits of Wifi Calling. (IMHO anyway)
NO special steps are needed - EXCEPT - when you flash an International ROM be prepared - they do usually wipe the Internal SD card. So make a back up of the important files (like Titanium Backup for example)
while we wait for TMO development to get underway - at least you have a few very good roms you can play with.
Good luck and happy flashing!
Hey guys, just posted the first (very basic) version of my project infinity Rom in the development forum. It is based on the t mobile framework, not international, so has WiFi calling etc. I plan to update it quite a bit. Also, it doesn't wipe the SD card upon install.

Hello N7105 owners,
DISCLAIMER:
By reading this post, downloading any of the links, or acting on it in anyway you accept full responsibility for the outcome. I strongly suggest you do not download this ROM but that's just my opinion.
What this is:
This is EE's (UK operator)(formally Orange & T-Mobile) stock ROM for the GT-N7105 or Galaxy Note 2 LTE International - N7105XXXALIJ
Stock Kernel
Rooted
Busybox
Fully deodexed
Zip aligned
Some bloatware removed. (Light version)
What you would need:
Custom recovery (CWM) <-- See other threads for the how-to I might post a link later.
What you would do:
Download .zip
While waiting... it's big (sorry) ... do a nandroid <-- Google it.
Put .zip onto external SD Card (internal would be fine too but I think if you full wiped it'd get deleted and your panties would twist)
Flash .zip
Wait... remember it's big (sorry)
Wipe Cache
Wipe Dalvik Cache
Reboot
Enjoy
What else you would want to do:
Flash a different Kernel - there's only one floating around for now.
Use a storage data swap - two options
Use performance scripts, see around there are lots and they'll work best with a different kernel with init.d support - there is a thread with an how-to for getting support with any kernel/ROM and I tried it but failed. I didn't try hard.
Wipe Data - this shouldn't be necessary as your phone will already be on a stock ROM.
What I would like you to do:
Make themes and I'll link them in post 2
Tell me what default apps you want back or what taken away.
Post links to other stock ROMs you'd like made more convenient (that's all this is btw because it's no different than rooting etc yourself after the fact).
Talk about N7105 development - we all want proper Dev support and built from source roms.
What I don't want you to do:
Expect anything from me.
Flash this thinking it's something special, or that I'm a dev, or think that this is counts as actual development.

Tbh until there's been some discussion about what should be in and what should be out the light version is not recommended. There's literally too many apps and too many Samsung goodies to know whats right to remove.
The once we agree on the best minimum apps for a base, I'll just use that for updates and the other apps can come in a range flashable packages.
For now the recommended way to debloat is just use titanium backup.

Those few who have downloaded the Light version, how is it? Did it boot? I remove anything that needs putting back in? Is there anything still there you would consider bloat?
Is the bloated version deodexed, zip aligned etc?
Yes. The only difference is a number of system apps are removed in the light version.

Should have ALJ4 uploaded tomorrow.
Edit:
Dang the re branding broke s note. Can't fix until tomorrow. Probably just need to push a different s note app (has someone optimised that awful app yet?)
It's uploading anyway if it doesn't fail I'll post link but flashing it without at least removing the s note app will result in infinite FCs. It's otherwise untested.

Thanks to beanstown106 for the deodexed base, saved me a couple steps http://rootzwiki.com/topic/37445-romtwrp-stock-root-deodexed-insecure-kernel-vraljb/
Thanks to AdamOutler for the bootloader unlock
First ROM release in over 2 years! This is just a basic deodexed rom (for now). I wanted a debloated rom, and couldnt really find one with the stock feel, so I threw one together. There is still some work to be done on the debloat, and also some features that I want to add to this rom. Pretty much, this was built for me personally, just figure I would release and let everyone else enjoy it!
The big mod that I have already included has been ExtSd2InternalSd found here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1772234
This swaps your internal and external sd cards, so your sd card functions just as you would expect if you've used any android phone pre-ICS. The requirement is that your sd card is exfat formatted.
I will release two versions, one with ExtSd2InternalSd and one without it. Let me know what yall think and have fun with it! This is going to be such a great device!
Just to be safe, I ALWAYS RECOMMEND FACTORY WIPE BEFORE INSTALLING ANY ROM!
12-21-12 - Ive been doing some testing with the perseus kernel found here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2048013 I think the dev changed some mount points in the ram disk, because the script i have been using for extsd2internalsd stopped working. I made some changes to it, and seems to be working as expected. I will package it up and upload it tonight. Might build my own kernel this weekend to fix the mount point changes back to normal.

updated with md5 in OP
This sounds like a really cool ROM build, stock yet tweaked to make it custom enough. I look forward to what else you are going to do to it and the fact you built in the Ext.SD card as primary storage. Given the limited space on the GN2 its a must for it.
One question re: debloat part, not sure what you have removed yet so could you update the OP to reflect that and perhaps post some of the .apk files in case we want to add certain one back.
Thanks for the work you are doing.
Just noticed that we need to format the ext.SD card in exFat and not Fat32. I will have to reformat first then.

Possibly. I have a few things I want to add this, but have not had a lot of time to totally dig into this. I might try to keep this as close to stock as possible, there will be other roms that will have those features too, but time will tell.
When it comes down to it, I may just make an update.zip for the extsd stuff that should work on any tw rom
Cool, stock works for me as well. Less stuff that risks being broken but having it as an extra add on you can install makes it a bit easier than trying to tweak it manually.
Thank you!
This is just what I need. 300mb available free space
How do I revert to the standard version if somehow I don't like the Extsd2internalsd version?

Can exfat be formatted on the phone or do you have to do it with windows machine? I don't remember it being an option on any format I have done.
Hello fellow XDA people. My question to all of you is that is it possible to use the Omega ROM meant for the i9505 variant to be flashed and used on this Verizon variant? Like can the following be usable (to those that have or are willing to use Omega and test it out):
- Data (3G/4G and Wifi)
- Wifi Tethering
- Any features added to the XXUBMEA update that this ROM is built from (Such as HDR video recording, more space available, less lag, etc.).
- Messaging
- Call Recording and any other mods added to this ROM
BTW it is possible to use i9505 ROMs on the Verizon variant but I haven't heard of anyone that has tried out Omega so that I can see if they have experienced any bugs relating to Wifi, Data, or other features and mods. Idk if I can post the link but I can say that there is a guide to install i9505 ROMs on this device somewhere in this section.

Edit: You should not flash any ROM not specific to your carrier as there are carrier specific files included. You could lose data connectivity or spam other carriers with errors. There are ways to port other ROMs but those are very advanced tasks.
Yes, flash and use your carriers kernel (important) and add your apn settings, it will work.

That's strange. Hm. Hope I don't run into the same problem.
You probably will run into the same problems if all the system apps and config files don't have the necessary codes and designations in it. The RIL lib files are different too amongst other things. That's not to say a ROM couldn't have more universal system settings. Or that you couldn't change the settings/databases/configs yourself.
I've found work arounds for all the issues so far but they aren't novice user friendly. I may do a write up after I'm done my port.

That sucks. I've seen some people get it working I think and a little bit according to kejay except for the fact his/her APN settings come and go along with data. Omega is a really great ROM but I guess I might just have to go with HyperDrive which I've already downloaded but I've heard of a few bugs here and there as of RLS 4.
[EDIT] Anyone got data working yet or anything? Or should I just use HyperDrive? Got my phone like 5 minutes ago.

WIFI PATCH FIX
Here's how to get Wifi working. Do this after installing the ROM. Thanks to seanzscreams for the fix and stvn1337 for posting the info. What this fix does is adds the paramaters needed for Wifi to work on TouchWiz 4.3 based ROMs while still allowing us to flash to other ROMs outside of the TouchWiz 4.3 stuff. Be forwarded that these steps do need to be followed pretty much dot on especially when it comes to apply the patch. Deviating on that part might cause some major issues including bricking your device. I will not be held liable if that were to happen or will XDA. You've been pretty well warned. Don't worry this is a pretty easy patch to apply so don't worry too much about it. Smile, eat a Kit Kat, and just do what I tell you. In no time you'll have working Wifi on this ROM.
FILES
4.3param_tz.zip - 690.83 KB
INSTRUCTONS
1 - Download Odin3 and the WiFi Fix files.
2 - Extract Odin3 and the WiFi Fix files. For the WiFi fix you just need to extract 4.3param_tz.zip so the 4.3param_tz.tar file is ready for us with Odin3.
3 - Download and install Samsung drivers if you don't have them already.
4 - Turn off Note 2. After turned off press Volume Down + Home Button + Power to boot into the bootloader.
5 - Plug Note 2 into PC with Odin3 running.
6 - Once your PC has detected and installed drivers your Note 2 should show up in Odin3.
7 - Load the Wifi fix file (should be named 4.3param_tz.tar) into the PDA option in Odin3.
8 - Hit the Start button. It'll only take seconds for the file to do its magic then your Note 2 will reboot into recovery.
9 - Reboot out of recovery.

Please tell me where I said im not working on it? You know cause the port was done all by itself...
I mean no disrespect but its comments like yours why less and less people release crap, why not just get it working for myself and thats it... why do other people need to use devs hard work and not give a hoot. Then make threads about where did all the TW devs go? I havent seen what I deem as enough updates or some other ungrateful soundsing posts
Gentleman please stay OT and inline. No disrespect allowed.
Thank you for your cooperation.

runandhide05 I just want to say thanks for all the hard work you have shared with us so far on bringing the Touchwiz 4.3 leak to our Verizon Note 2.

Thanks for the initial push, whether it becomes anything or not. You're helping to keep the note 2 alive.

can't wait to try this. I'm tempted to flash and make a nan so when it's in alpha/beta stage i can just flash that over it lol
OP, thanks for making this available to DEVs. So sorry that some people just don't get it or appreciate it!
Nice!! Thanks for giving me/us hope on seeing a TW 4.3 ROM before Big Red gets around to releasing one

@runandhide05 I am in the same boat as you I have everything working except data/signal.. I have ported from n7100 before but the process seems to be different in this case..4.3. I am still trying to get it corrected with different methods. Can you tell me what you have done so far so we can compare? I started with stock base 4.3 N7100.. Added our csc files, build.prop edits for cdma and a couple lib files and our modem. When I boot it boots fine.. In mobile networks I have option to select cdma/lte but still no signal.. We our missing something that i cant seem to find. Some files that we usually port over have been changed or are non existant in 4.3... and btw what kernel are you using I think this maybe the source of our problem..I can only seem to flash it and get it to boot with the 4.3 stock kernel and I am not skilled or have enough knowledge to know whether kernels have anything to do with lte capabilities.. I would assume so.. And if thats the case we will have to wait for the n7105 leak to get kernel source..

Its looking like we will need to wait for a n7105 for the lte.
Using stock kernel. All others fail to boot.

I do have a friend that I have developed a rom with said that he got it booted and signal.. SO let me talk to him today and maybe we can crack this thing.. I was thinking maybe n7105 saber kernel..I will try and let you know.. I have wifi working as well as gps..
I know many of you are waiting for T-Mobile S5 custom ROMs.
Well, just like the Galaxy S4, you can also install international S5 custom ROMs on the T-Mobile/Canadian Galaxy S5 as they share the same hardware. This means you have a ton more custom ROMs you can install, also get Wifi Tether working out of the box on international ROMs. (Wifi Calling will be gone of course as international ROMs don't have that feature)
I just installed Alliance ROM for SM-G900F on my T-Mo S5, works flawless 100%, here's a video demo of it running:
I know this isn't a common knowledge for many noobs out there so I thought I would share and opens you up to a whole new world of custom ROMing.
The only feature I will be missing is wifi calling and HD call. I don't care about HD voice, but wifi calling is a must because I travel over sea a lot and wifi calling keep me not roaming and charges. I wish we can enable wifi calling on international rom.

Yeah, I won't be using any ROMs that don't have wifi calling. At least not in the near future.
It's good to know... Thanks

Disclaimer, flashing an international rom on the tmo variant, will wipe your internal SD even if you choose not to.

I saw someone edit the updater script so it wont wipe internal sd but its diff updater scripts on some roms

Yes international Roms work ... Omega has a rom out that is starting to have tweeks and I posted a thread about it 2 days after the s5 came out but a moderator moved it from this thread and over to the general thread cause it was not a tmobile rom.

I dont know ive flash a couple of international roms. And my internal sd data was not wipe. oh wait I did format internal sd by TWRP 2700. That may or may not have something to do with it.
Welcome to the party!

That is true for MOST International ROMS - but it doens't happen on XNOTE - and I learned there is a way to modify the updater-script so that it won't delete.
Just extract the Updater-script - open it in notepad - remove this phrase: mount("ext4", "EMMC", "/dev/block/mmcblk0p25", "/preload");
delete_recursive("/preload")) and then save it as a script again. put it back into the Meta-Inf folder, replacing the original and you are good to go.
I have modified the Omega Rom and few others and successfully flashed without wiping SD Card.
Having said all of that - one of the reasons I was flashing Interenational roms was because there weren't any TMOBILE ROMS - now we have this ROM and it is quite good - but if you have the flashing urge - you can try those steps and it should work for you .....
Good luck...hope this is useful....

I am going on what I was told by someone else - who obvioulsly knows more about this than me. I am not a developer so I am a bit unsure exactly - I can follow instructions when doing things like this - but I don't know what exactly I am doing - your comment sounds right though - but it is better answered by someone who knows more about this than me -
and by the way - XNOTE does not wipe SD Card - and the guy who did ECHOES said that on future updates he would modify the script so that it didn't wipe our SD cards either.
i had alliance for a couple and it works fine but some of the new roms give you option for kernels...
can we also install different kernels?
thanks
I installed the Shohat Rom v3. Very debloated and fast and smooth. No bell and whistles but you can install wanam and get mods.
