All you have to do is unroot and go back to stock and make up some crap.
I have had many phones that I have gotten replaced through Tmobile from craigslist.
As long as it is a Tmobile device and you have not tampered with it and there is no physical damage your warranty will still be good.

Device warranty isn't carrier specific, once you're withing your one year warranty, they will honour it, they have to.
Has anyone ever sent their phone back to htc for a power button repair?
My sister is across the country with a nearly busted power button and i can't untamper the bootloader from here.
Do they care about software when it is a hardware problem?
Thanks for any advice...

I would go to a reputable Sprint repair center before going to HTC.

She did this, and got a new phone for fifty bucks (no insurance)...
It turns out that had left her s-on with root, so the tamper screen wasn't a problem at all
Thanks!

Can someone provide the files and if possible the steps needed to flash my phone back to bone stock.
My screen cracked on my phone so I'm trying to replace my phone through Verizon and the phone is rooted and flashed.
Any help on this situation would be appreciated.
Thanks guys ^_^

I don't think it matters with the insurance. I think it's only an issue for warranty replacements.

I had mine replaced through insurance because of a damaged screen, I was s-off and it was still running infection at the time. No problems at all.

Do I need to do an LGNPST for an insurance claim, or will they not care?

It really depends. Are they going to check and inspect your phone? When I went to AT&T service center they actually turned it on and looked at it. How stock does your phone look? It also depend on if you are willing to take a chance. Most of the time no one would even notice, but if they do notice, they can easily say your device has been modified and is not longer under warranty and send it back.
If your phone turns on with a legible screen then you need to.
