Hi guys. I have a Samsung Galaxy Ace S5830C and everytime I try to record a voice message on whatsapp (that one holding microphone button) my voice goes out to loud and distorced, near or far away from the phone. When I try to record a audio from the cellphone recorder, it goes normal. But I don't want to have to switch apps everytime for record a 2 seconds voice message. Is there any tweak or anything like that so can I switch the sensibility of the microphone level? My cellphone is rooted and I use the "4.2.2" rom (based on the 2.3.6).
PS: on stock rom I had the same problem.

Hi all,
Can't find any info on this topic, so therefore this post.
Phone is a galaxy S2 9100.
Headset tried Plantronics Voyager Pro and Discovery 975.
Outgoing calls work fine, exept when screen turns black, then after about 10-15 sec, sound in bluetooth dies. Can be reactivated when pressing home button, which brings the screen back.
Incoming calls (around 50% times), I can hear beeping in the headset, I can pick up the call (using headset or soft key), and can hear the caller speak. But the caller can't hear me. If I switch to speaker, still the same. But found out that if I press home button, which exits to home screen, then return back to phone app, the sound in bluetooth headset appears.
Another annoying thing is that when I'm at home, wifi is on and connected, sound is fine with no distortions or bluetooth fallouts. As soon as I leave home = no home wifi connection, every maybe 30 sec, I hear choppy sound in my bluetooth headset (the caller hears me just fine). I can make it go away by disabling wifi while in-call.
Have of course tried several different mods in service menu, although it helped a bit on the sound volume and echo, the bluetooth problems are the same.
Details:
Tried different phone.apk mods all the same
Tried different roms, all seem to behave the same
android: 2.3.6
Baseband: I9100XXKF2
Kernel: [email protected] #66
Build number: CheckROM RevoHD V4

Tried different roms, phone.apk's, resetting dalvik cache, system cache and still no luck.
Today I did a "full wipe", installed CheckROM RevoHD v6 and the problem seems to have disappeared. Made 5 incoming calls and bluetooth seems to be working as it should. Maybe it was just a question of wiping the /data partition...
Dear Friends,
I recently purchased Samsung Galaxy Y Pro Duos B5512. Actually I purchased this mobile seeing lots of feature which I must need. One of my must need feature is call recording. I have paid version of call recording application like Auto Call Recorder Pro v2.5, Call Recorder PRO, CallRecorder-v1.1.9, Call_Note_Recorder_Mailer_PRO_v4.2. All these application are working only under audio resources option VOICE UPLINK/DOWNLINK, but whenever I am receiving a miss call or I am rejecting any call, call recorder is not working unless I restart my mobile by switch offing. Again after receiving any miss call or reject any call output audio volume becomes very low even I try to listen using headset. Can anybody help & advice.
Regards
RK Goswami
Have you tried using "Record My Call" works for me perfectly. Record conversations even over headphones or speaker.
regards,
Like many other apps, "Record My Call" record calls with a volume aproppiate to 0(zero). I hear the call only if "speaker" is activate, in rest the volume is too low
you must install custom kernel
I bought a LG VU II (F200K) few days ago, it was preinstalled Android 4.0.4, initially I found the microphone completely not work, neither during phone call nor audio/video recording, whereas when I use the headphone came with it everything is fine, after few time phone call testing I found the built-in mic ONLY work when I turn on the "speaker" during the phone call, could someone guide me what I can do to fix this issue? Thank you for your help!
Hi,
I am using the Samsung Galaxy S2 from last 2 years and I faced minor issues which were manageable. However, I have come an issue with call volume being too low which is troubling a lot. (Android Version 4.1.2)
When I am using my earphones during an ongoing call, I have observed if I chat on whatsapp simultaneously, the incoming message tone reduces the in-call volume. For this, I would quickly unplug the earphone from the mobile and plug it back and the in-call volume becomes normal.
What happened recently, I was on a call without earphones and I had to reply to a message on whatsapp, so I opened whatsapp and the incoming message tone on whatsapp reduced the volume on my phone.
I could unplug the earphone, but not sure how do I get the in-call volume to normal ?
Does anyone have a solution to this ?
I read on various forums, about setting the volume by accessing *#197328640# and option 5 for audio, but when I select option 5, it stays on the same page.
Hoping to get some interesting answers.
Audio routes
There is an Android API called AudioManager which allows applications to specify how their audio will behave on the device. It also tells OTHER APPS how their audio should behave while this app is running. It sounds like you're having a 'ducking' issue. This is when an app you run tells all the other apps that there audio should go below (quieter than) the app that's running. Apps are supposed to undo these changes when you leave them but sometimes (as you've found) that doesn't happen and audio routing (earpiece, speakerphone, volume) can start to act strange. On Samsung devices a power OFF / power ON cycle will resolve the issue, and there are probably apps in the app store that would let you modify the AUDIO MANAGER MODES.
Can anyone help me with this issue !
Issue in detail: I can't seem to get my video calls to be on the phone's internal speaker (ear piece) and whichever app I use If I make a video call its always on speaker (loudspeaker/bottom speaker). On signal eg. to get the speaker off during a video call I have to turn off the video and then turn off (loud)speker (which works) and then when I turn the video on again, its back to the (loud) speaker. On the other apps (duo/insta) I tried, the video calls are on (loud)speaker and there doesn't seem to be an option to change output choice.
Some other information that might be relevant to the case:
-The device is new (1-2 months old).
-Phone calls work properly and use the ear internal speaker (can switch from loudspeaker without issue too.
-I tried factory reset but didn't work.
-I did try to root but didn't finish the thing. Bootloader is unlocked. I have the fastboot rom from xda installed and I guess the stock updates after that.
