TWRP constant loop - G2 General

Good Morning everyone,
I was able to flash using ADB last night so I recovered the phone from a brick stage. Here's the trouble I am having now. The phone wont load past the TWRP page. I have erased the internal memory several times , reloaded the stock rom I found ( even tried numerous other roms as well) and no matter what, I am always returning to the TWRP page. I know the stock file is good because last night I had the phone fully up and running.
Thanks for the help.

A problem solved

Hey everyone,
This is for people who are in the situation now.
I recently flashed my Rom to stock JellyBean, just no idea why, I just had the urge to go Stock (non-rooted)
All good, happily did it, no problems at all. The problem I had was when I wanted to flash it back to Rooted Custom Roms.
Now, I used Odin for this, and felt a little too confident, and thought I could do it without problems. Here is what happened...
Open Odin,
Flashed CF-Root SGS3 v6, in PDA, (as it said)
It failed, no idea why, it kept failing on NAND Backup, all the time,
then could not for the hell of it get into Recovery, at all, only the SGSIII logo at the beginning.
So after a hell of alot of research and stress and concentration, I finally figured it out.
I downloaded CF-Insecure-SGS3_XX_NEE_ALE8-v1.2,
flashed that through PDA, then downloaded the Kernel, (Perseus.alpha25.3-i9300)
and also flashed that through PDA, it phone booted passed the SGSIII start logo, and went into Recovery and updated then rebooted, and got stuck on the Logo once again, so I got into Download Mode, flashed through Odin once again, CF-Root-SGS3-v6.0 and it passed the flash.
My Recovery was back, I went into it, and had Paranoid Android Rom on my SD-Card, luckily, and thought what the heck, it aint gonna kill it, and flashed it, and it worked!
Couldn't believe my eyes, after 15 hours and 13 cups of tea and the shakes it booted the the boot screen, and went into the Android and I now!
Finally have my phone back, was so close to giving up, but luckily my Tea kept me going.
Reason I post this is I found it hard to get the information I needed through the web, someone had the same problem but it was always 1 thing different which was a big difference. They had recovery but couldn't do anything.
So here you go everyone. If this helps, then happy days, if not then, good luck and let me know what problem your having.
Very Very eagure to learn the ways of the Android.

[Q] Stuck at unlocked screen

I recently rooted my phone and everything was fine. This morning I installed a debloated rom http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2296109 and It seemed to work but after I rebooted the phone just sits at a screen that says
Samsung
an unlocked icon
Custom
I can still get into Odin and TWRP but nothing I do seems to solve my problem. I have verified the MD5 of the image as well as trying to install a backup I made prior to flashing but the restore fails.
Does anyone know what I can do?
I should add that TWRP asks for a password when I load it but I never explicitly set one and also it seems to have trouble with the partition table.
Update: Solved maybe? I got this phone to boot but I am not sure what happened. I flashed a rom from TWRP several times and finally one took ... still would like info from someone who actually knows what is going on as I am not sure this wont happen again
Update: So it seems that every time I something happens and the drive or loader gets encrypted and it no longer boots. the "solution" is to do a full wipe then install a rom. This happens every time i reboot and I would really like a solution to this.

[q] help!! Note down

So ,im sorry but its a long story. Hopefully someone can help. My note is Rooted Ive been using TWRP. Everything had been fine until 2 days ago. I tried flashing a ROM i found on Goomanger.( I had been running liquid smooth) just wanted to try something different. Anyways it got stuck on a boot loop. Cant remember the name of the Rom. Anyways i was able to get back to recovery, thankfully. But when i wiped and flashed back to liquid smooth it would say optimizing apps, then it would reach a certain number then reboot and star all over again. So then i tried another Rom and the same thing happened. tried flashing back to stock rooted but it would turn on then completely crash and star booting up again. So finally i was able to flash paraandroid 4.1.2 and Gapps, but here is the kicker i have no service (AT&T) says cannot locate network, my IMEI is gone basically the cellular isn't working. Everything else works fine WiFi,apps, camera. Just cant make calls. I really need your guys help please.:crying:
If you have a suggestion please let me know, i hate using an old Iphone

Just odin back to stock. Get a complete factory stock image from the main sticky thread and flash it with Odin and Download Mode. There's a bug on one of the TWRP versions with 4.3-based ROMs that will put it into a bootloop by breaking device reboots. I was unable to flash my way out of the problem and was forced to do a complete reimage which solved all the problems and put me right back to clean-out-of-the-box state, then I reinstalled TWRP (though an older version before the boot loop bug) and re-flashed my custom ROM. The package I used was the stock image and Odin tool all in one .exe, just plug in to download mode and run it and it flashed bootloader, recovery, system, kernel, etc. all back to stock.

Thanks thats what i did, I just basically had to use KIES to use the emergency recovery, then root my phone again. My question is what version of TWRP causes this? cause i used the newest version i could find off GOO. My other concerne is, will it accept or be safe to use a custom ROM? Well i gues ill find out  THANKS AGAIN!
Everyone with the sgh-i717 is having problems with the latest TWRP and the most stable version is 2.5.0.0. Go with that one or you'll be starting all over again I imagine. And don't just stop at the download link in the OP's, read the thread and find out what's going on. The problems with TWRP have been going on for a while and the development threads have a lot of comments about the latest build causing problems. Good luck! :good:

Flash with Odin didn't work (Android 4.4.2)

One year ago, I soft-bricked my S4 mini; downloaded and flashed the stock rom. After this progress, everything got lost, but it booted without problems. No troubles for months...:good:
Now, my phone (rooted) is becomming slower and slower, it takes forever to boot and shutdown. Also, sometimes it crashes without reason. So I decided to go back to stock rom, to have my mobile as quick as when I bought it. Also I just wanted to get rid of all the junk.
I still got the firmware on my PC, and so I started flashing after I backuped everything.
Odin (3.0.9) said passed and my phone booted into recovery, and then normally. But then, every app I installed was still there. When going back to Download Mode, Knox was also still 0x1, the recovery however, was replaced to default one.
In Odin, I only marked the default options, Auto Reboot and F Reset time.
My Rom is from sammobile.
Does anybody know what I did wrong

SM-G550t1 MetroPCS Stock rom Odin flashing>>>>sboot.bin fail

So I have read through a lot of threads on here already about similar issues. But I cant find an exact answer to the problem Im having. I tried to get more space with my sd card so i downloaded foldermount, and I gave it access to external sd and rebooted. When I rebooted it stopped at the metropcs welcome screen and did nothing, I immediately knew it was soft-bricked. I tried taking the battery out restarting and still same problem. So i rebooted into TWRP recovery and instead of just getting my laptop and googling, I tried to factory reset but somehow i erased my rom because it said "No OS installed are you sure you want to reboot". So now it wont even go to the samsung screen or metropcs screen. it turns on but thats about it. I hooked it up to odin and flashed a stock rom but everytime i try, it stops at sboot.bin and then fails. I read that this is a problem with bootloader and imnuts has solved this proble, but he only did it for other phones, SO BASICALLY I NEED A BOOTLOADER FIX FOR STOCK ROM FOR SM-G550T1 (SAMSUNG GALAXY ON5)????
Have you tried to flash another rom? How long did you take your battery out for? In twrp, do you have adb access?

Yes, I have flashe three different roms now. I have the same issue every time. And i took the battery out for a few minutes but i dont think thats the issue its that I'm missing an operating system. And in TWRP i do have adb but i forget what ADB does.
Also, with the help of youtube, I created a nobootbinrom.tar or something like that and flashed with odin to no avail. It was a complete waste of time.
