My m8 came out of the box with some very minor scratches on the back. Has anyone had any luck polishing those with anything?

I haven't had to polish it but I would imagine any metal specific polishing compound would do the trick.

I had some glass stove top cleaner and decided to give that a shot. After 3-4 attempts most if the scratches are gone. I'm pretty happy with the results, but don't want to push my luck by polishing excessively.

Are you guys getting light leakage and what are you doing about it.
I'm having a lot of leakage across the entire bottom and 1/4 up the sides. Both on my 1st and 2nd 3Ds.

Go get a new one?
That was informative

I have some along the bottom, but it doesn't bother me as much as a dead pixel or dust under the screen would, so I can live with it.
Got some on the bottom between the glass and frame.
Honestly don't care. In so satisfied with this phone so far.

Amazon or ebay

I use this case. I don't use the kickstand that often, but when I do, it's nice. Also, you can't use kickstand while phone is charging.
Do a Google shopping search for lowest price. Or like the other member, eBay/Amazon.

Ps. Over time, the soft rubber tends to peel off my zagg screen protectors around the edges.

Honestly, I'm not sure how you broke it. My dna is a tank. You just got unlucky.

Mine broke as well from a similar " light drop". Actually caught it on my boot, then it landed on the lower left corner. Screen shattered out from there. Everything works just fine on mine, so I'm leaving it as is for now as a reminder.

Mine shattered too. Fell out of my pocket onto concrete face first.

Sorry for the noob question but I'm curious if there are any long term affects on the screen when using the S pen a lot.
This is my first Note so I'm not used to using a stylus with a tip.
Thanks!

This pen was made to be used with the phone so I would say no. Also, all the marketing for this phone highlights all the features used in conjunction with the Spen. Now if you used some cheap knockoff you may have an issue

The only problems you might run into is dirt on the screen. The s-pen could scratch the screen if the pen picks up the dirt then travels along the glass. A simple screen protector will prevent that from ever happening. Spigen makes glass protectors if you don't like the feel of the plastic ones.

Thanks! Yeah I'm not a fan of plastic screen protectors, but I just ordered a glass one from Spigen. I'm curious if I'll like that better.

It adds a little thickness but you only notice it around the home button. Spigen included a riser sticker for the home button but I actually prefer going without it.

Took a 20 foot fall off of the top of the pilot house of one of the vessels I am working on. Hit one of our condensers right on my screen then another 30 feet down to main deck.
The Otterbox Defender helped too.
But if it wasn't for the Iloome screen protector, my screen would be destroyed.

Glad your phone survived it's adventure, and good to hear the iLoome + Otterbox Defender combo worked so well - it's what I'm using too.
I almost cried as it crashed to the deck... I ran down as fast as I could to see the damage. I thought my baby was done for. Luckily the screen protector took all the impact from the first hit and the case took the rest as she tumbled down 3 more levels.

What a fall! Geez. Congratulations. iloome saved the day!

It was the thicker one. I think the flex is made of thick plastic. This one is tempered glass.

According to iloom, the flex is glass.
Any sensor issues? Smart Stay in particular?
No issues at all. Everything was running perfect.
