Nope, not at all.

After 4 Weeks the Problems started...
...first of all, iam coming from the HTC Desire handset. A solid, powerfull, less memory brave smartphone at least for 2 years.
Switched to Desire X because of the lack of memory on my Desire, although root and sd-ext.
I was very impressed of this low budget device, it did a precious impression onto me, but now i know why HTC is losing marketshare and the earnings decreases.
The device itself, even without the backside attached creaks on the upper left and right corner - ok i would life with that, but there are constant reboots and state an error report, while my device is on standby and stored in my pocket - maybe there is too much pressure applied while i tie up my shoes, but my old desire took it without any problems.
The main problem is the screen, i got an array of faulty pixels - so iam heading to my retailer to get this device repaired and then sold.
Nexus 4 iam coming, although i loved the handy size....
Attached pictures of the upper left corner taken with a One S through a magnifying glass...
no problem
I also have a Desire S, now my wife is using it.
Until now I don't have any problem, it's smoother and I think it eats less battery than Desire S (both stock ROM).
Waiting for full Sense that i miss from Desire S :crying:
Unfortunately I recognized one problem.
After every shutdown and restart of the phone I miss some apps on the screen or in my favourite folder.
Like most of my other apps I transferred them with Titanium Backup from my old phone (Desire).
I cannot see, why these few apps (Financial Times App, Paradise Island, Blast Monkeys, Bad Piggies) behave like this and the others not. Maybe it is associated with root, maybe not...
Yep, have the same problem, it's because those apps are installed on the SD-card, and the phone doesn't link them to the screen when booting.

That means theres no way to change that behaviour (without another rom)?
Not that i know, sorry

Why should another launcher solve the problem?
The apps will stay on the SD-card, why should the behaviour change?
The only problem is the small number of developers writing ROMs. :silly:

Because they use other methods for the shortcuts. Just try it and give us feedback. I don't have the problem on my desire x so it's up to you.
i have this phone for a 2 weeks now, and still not have any problems, except one random reboot..i dont know why, hope that will not repeat
No problems so far. Works like a charm.
Im comming from Desire (bravo), and Desire Hd.
I can say Dx is awsome budget phone, never had any prob. Running smooth.

The only problem is horrible hiss noise on headphones and speaker. But that is unrepairable.
phones got bad bad speekers... wanna kill htc for it... rest is superbbb
Hey folks, I have serious issues with the multi touch recognition..
What you do:
You tap and hold with one finger, then you tap tap with another finger
What the phone does:
It forgets the first finger you are holding down.
IMHO that should definitely not be the case, especially not in this price range.
(and if you think why the hell does he care and how does one notice?...just play some pinball game and you will See..)
This is international stock ROM. Any suggestions?
Thanks and good night,
Daranus
Edit: even more visible in games like dead trigger. When I am running forward with the left thumb and tap the right thumb for a single shot, I stop running. That does not seem right at all.

Hello
I don't always play games in my phone, but only to testing if there is a problem in multitouch or not, i installed 2 games (pinball deluxe and dead trigger) and didn't notice any anomalies or problems in multi touch points (i can use 2 points touch at same time freely and without any interface between each others),so i think its software bug, so i suggest to do soft reset (or hard reset) and see if the problem persist.
Also you can test your screen touch points with an free app in play store (multi-touch benchmark test) and see the result.
P.S try to disable the 3 fingers htc gestures which found in setting/display & gestures/htc gesture (because with this option enabled you have only 3 points multitouch, but with this option disabled you have 10 points multitouch-yes 10 points-).
Thanks

Don't have that problem on mine.
This happens to me as well. I could not figure out why dead trigger was not working properly, now I realize it's a system wide issue.
I tried disabling HTC gestures and enabling it and I'm still having this problem.
At&t version

Thanks for your answers,
I already used an application for multi touch testing, same results.
It does not matter if you turn the 3 finger thingy on or off (and we are talking 2 finger only anyway so it should not matter)
And good to know, that an ATT device can have the issues as well...I wonder what it is =/
Sent from my HTC One X+ using xda app-developers app
Alright...one step further.
Did a hard reset and the issue is gone.
Now I have to track down what actually broke the multi-touch function..will post if I do!
Sent from my HTC One X+ using xda app-developers app
Got it.
Managed to break it again and discover the reason.
If you choose to have no lockscreen, you break multi touch. That simple.
Try it out folks.

So it breaks it permanently if you ever decide to not have a lockscreen, or just while you don't have one?
Just while you dont have one (so it was only me who lost everything because of that bull**** )
However, I think it's a serious issue which was a pain in the ass to track down because who in hell could think that this is caused by that. Is there some place to tell HTC such stuff?
And if someone with a custom ROM reads this, can he confirm if custom ROMs have the same issue? Tyvm!
Just discovered even more...it even breaks games (!!!) E.g. Maple Story live. Is Unplayable with no lockscreen because it ends itself all the time for no reason without an error...and now...no issues anymore, runs like a charm.
Sent from my HTC One X+ using xda app-developers app
I've been having the same multitouch issue, rendering most games unplayable. Thus far enabling the lockscreen does not solve it.
Edit: after rebooting the problem is gone...strange. I can't wait for CM 10.1 to come out so I can get rid of this ROM
Just installed multi-touch test app, disabled lockscreen and multi-touch works like it should. Recognized 10 fingers (didn't try with foots Latest 1.17 firmware.

GOOOOOOOOOOD NEWS
this what i got from HTC representative
Dear Salwansk,
I have some news for you that I missed earlier today. I can confirm that we have started working on a touch sensitivity update for your phone. I don't have an ETA for release, however we have some suggestions in the meantime. If you have a screen cover or screen protector, we suggest removing that and cleaning the screen.
Let's calibrate the keyboard, which impacts the entire display. Here's how:
1. Slide the Notification panel open
2. Tap Settings
3. Tap Languages and keyboard
4. Tap HTC Sense Input
5. Tap Advanced
6. Tap Calibration tool
I also suggest cleaning the screen if there is a chance that dust or moisture is on the device. This can further improve your sensitivity.
i can confirm that my phone and my family phones are way better now........
what i did is cutting around the buttons "BACK & HOME"..... now it has been almost 24 hours and i never get the lag again
i hope it will work forever
Noticed this myself. Might be tied to the issue of decreased capacitive button sensitivity. I'm hoping the 1.29 OTA update will fix it.
Yeah same here. I noticed I have to press it at a certain point to function
Sent from my HTC One using Tapatalk 2
same here, the back button is slow or sometimes doesn't work. hopefully the next OTA will fix it.
There is a calibration utility somewhere in settings that fixes this from what I remember reading a few days ago.

so i took mine and honestly, i didn't have any issues with the back button yet.... it has been 4 hours...
but we still some confirm from you guys ... please try to remove your screen protector or at least cut around the back and home buttons ..
and post your result :good:

I have the same problem!
Sent from my HTC One using xda app-developers app
I wasn't having any problems until I put on a screen protector, then it became laggy. Took it off and haven't had a problem since.
I cut my screen off where the buttons are and I haven't had issues since. A bit annoying, since I want the SGP Ultra Clear but don't feel like tearing them up. I've heard that the Taiwanese version got an update that fixed it completely.

It's a known issue people. The .13 update fixes it.

Has anyone else been experiencing weak or unresponsive home and back keys. My home key does not always work. Just trying to see if mine is faulty or others experience this issue.
Sent from my HTC One using xda app-developers app
I have the same issue and it has been pissing me off. I have read the OTA has fixed this issue for some. I am still waiting for my OTA to come through.
Screen off/screen on seems to kick it back into gear most of the time for me.
I had the same problem. Unlocked bootloader and put TrickDroid on, and this problem is gone. Not that it should be the solution, but it seems the move to the international update fixed that problem.
I also had the problem on stock AT&T ROM. Flashed ARHD and the problem is gone

Doubt it. Sounds completely independent of software.

I flashed international Rom and it's alot better I have two ones that I use and there's s big difference between stock att and international imo
Sent from my HTC One using xda premium
Stock ATT rom here and there are times I have to hit the home button a few times. Gonna unlock bootloader tonight and see about installing a rom.
Mine definitely require very accurate taps. I am getting used to it, but I am hoping a software update will improve the responsiveness.
Sent from my HTC One using Tapatalk 2
Seems to be the case more with our (ATT) software. Flashing the international or one of the international ROMs seems to make it much more responsive. Hopefully our phones will get the update soon!
I loaded an international Rom and I still occasionally get buttons that don't work and I have to lock and unlock the screen.

Some say it's the screen protectors some say it's not. I did notice before I out one on it wasn't so bad. But once I out it in was constantly smashing the buttons and where the are so flipping close to the screen I would open unwanted apps. Anyway I too a straight edge and an exacto knife and cut the protector off right where the screen ends and the black capacitive area begins. Did it last night and haven't had to press anything more than once. Just a thought from a guy

Compared to my One X, neither of the buttons are precise at all, even without a screen protector on the AT&T Rom.

I agree. A screen protector shouldn't make a difference. Never did with ny One X either.

Even when I didn't have the screen protector installed it was also very finicky. It seems like you have to press down exactly on the buttons for them to register the action. Even then, one of the buttons will sometimes wig out on me while the other one will continue working. It seems like the problem resolves itself within fifteen seconds most of the time, but its annoying nonetheless.
What's funny is that I thought it was a software problem at first, but even after switching over to the newest CM nightlies it still happens every now and then.
Yea but basing that in cm10 is irrelevant
Because so much is patched and ported but agreed this thing sucks sometimes

For last 2 Days My HTC Desire X was acting weirdly,as my mobile touch is responding on its own, sometimes it set alarm itself, open fb & much more,I did reset of my phone but after some time it start acting agin..
Plz help in this..
Am also expierencing this from time to time, but for me the issue could be that I put in a new display assembly. What always helps is locking the phone and opening display again, hope this helps for you as well.
Mine some how unlocks its self whitch is interesting as you have to drag the circle then draw a pattern
Sent from my HTC Desire X using xda app-developers app
I'm pretty sure this is Related to Roms and Kernels. I had this a lot using Nkernel on MysenseDX+ making it a massive pain, I've been back on ICS for a while now and no issues like this for a Long time.
Mine is standard unmoded setup today it locked its self when I accidentally pressed call and kept locking when I unlocked it I couldn't end the call had to pull the battery
