I've been hung up here for a while and can't think of anything else to try. The last file in the 1st picture is what I get after I save the unlock code from my email. The 2nd picture is the fail screen I get after using the .bin file. The video I've watched shows the file still named unlock code where as mine is names mib.bin. I'm just not sure where else to turn. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

No, not at all.. It was never mentioned in any directions. The only thing I'm yet to try besides renaming is placing the file within the root toolkit folder. I read in the toolkit thread that the file needs to be placed in the folder...but it doesn't specify and I dont know of anyone else that's done that including the YouTube video created from an XDA member.

No one has come across this before? I'm sure many folks have rooted with the toolkit...I'm just asking for some feedback on how and where the unlock file went and is named after you downloaded it from your email account. Or better yet, are we supposed to drag the unlock code file into the tookkit folder. I'm inches away from unlocking...just can't get past this step and I don't know why.

I feel bad you have been working on this for days. Do you know how to give remote access to someone? If you let me in your computer I will unlock, root, flash recovery, soff, remove tampered banner in 5 minutes.

I'm sure its just user error and since the device is so new there doesn't seem to be a lot of "worked out quarks". No, I'm not sure how to give remove access. Its frustrating because I'm following the instructions to the T and yet I still find ways go to hung up.
Sent from my HTC One_M8 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
when I downloaded from email it was name Unlock_code.bin I installed it from my downloads folder, not the m8toolkit folder like you mentioned, why not just try renaming the file, it won't hurt anything to try

Streaming worked?
I was reading in the general section and responded there too, its checking for drm which our devices don't actually have which is causing the error not allowing us to use playback
Sent from my HTC Glacier using XDA Premium App
Hmmm could be editing apk (if possible I don't even know) to not check or if it checks to automatically say yes instead of checking?

Yea, the second image, towards the bottom, thats where you can see it's trying to check the drm.
I was able to find the drm.apk and odex in the evo forums found here if anyone else wants to play with it.
Also, I'm trying to download the whole dump so I can play with it and see if there is anything in the /system/lib that we may be missing, but every where I try I never get a full download, so any help on that would be much appreciated
this is awesome, this needs to get more exposure maybe some devolper can figure out how to get drm on our phones so we can stream
We have drm(I think). Just not the right permissions it looks like. Going to play with this mote tomorrow, need sleep.

Just checked, we do. It's under
/system/app/drm provider.apk
At least that's the case for royal glacier 1.4

Yes we do have the DRM Provider.
If stock then it's version 2.2.1 - I noticed the dumped version is 2.2.2
Ye, that was just one idea to look through that i found on the evo forums, I'm thinking what were looking for is gonna be in the revolution dump itself, probably under /system/lib.
Only problem is I still can't get the full thing to download from any source that I've found, it always shorts out at around 380-400mb on me and the full dump is 442mb
wow, this is actually pretty exciting.! I wish I could code at that level..
This will be so awesome when works, cannot wait!!!

It's really up in the air at this point. On one hand, there could be some hardware based decrypting the chip is capable that older chips can't do. On the other hand, it could just be that they're not allowing streaming from any android devices right now.
When somebody gets the revolution and fires up netflix, we'll have something to troubleshoot with.
I've replaced the drm provider apk but i can't seem to find where the .odex goes. has anyone found that?

Sorry, was away from XDA today. One thing to make sure on boot animations is that you don't compress the zip file. If you use the basic windows built-in zip it always compresses. I recommend the free 7-zip if you plan to theme.

Remember, we have nand write lock. Even if these tools worked (which they won't because they were patched in later versions of gingerbread hence the reason we have zergRush) the root would go away shortly after getting it and definatley after a reboot.

To further avoid myself, being accused of doing wrong in the essence of good, please SCAN THIS FILE. 2/34 Virus scanners on my end show what I THINK are false positives, personally I RAN THIS and see no ill side effects and monitor my network well. If you feel the least bit threatened or weary about using or downloading this, then please don't. The results don't look like it has been working anyway, I left it here for people to test/play with. Keep that in mind.
This has NOT been tested with the DNA yet, but it is supported, please read the documentation before use.
EDIT: Results don't seem to look good, for this app at all actually. I will leave it if anyone wants to try, but this is the second of a few warnings throughout this post. Don't test it on a phone you want. Although no damages have been reported.
I am not the creator of this one click, but I was told it could be shared freely, as it also describes in the .ZIP contents.
I did not personally try this out myself (My One X is already rooted + S-OFF) so be sure to check it out and read all the documents before trying out this new root exploit.

It did finally pick up my One X after about 10 mins (more like 2), but like I said I'm already rooted. It looks like it supplies a good amount of phones, and with the 3 different methods for rooting, especially the third, hopefully we will see some good results!
I'm not responsible for harm that comes from this file, I have ran and tested it out to SOME EXTENT. Please be aware of this, and like I said, READ THE DOCUMENTATION.
It states it can:
Root Android 2.x
Root Android 3.x
Root Android 4.x
Rooting Phones and Tablets
Supplies S-OFF as well (80% Chance)
So, like I said, try it out and let me know if it works!

If this was built from the ground up, without implementing any of their coding, there's nothing that they, or anyone else can do about it... That's kinda the point of open source.

So just heard the news about Google pushing out android device manager. A new find my phone feature. It arrived as an ota by Google. I'm s-off running evilution.
