On my Galaxy Note 2, all the notifications of gmail and outlook emails are operating correctly. However, I cannot see the notifications of these two email types on my Gear Fit. Other notifications such as What's App, Missed call, etc. are ok. I have ticked the options in the notification setting in Gear Fit Manager. Any other thing I did overlook?

I just purchased the Sprint Hero today and I was trying to customize my SMS and email tones for each of my email accounts. When I go into Settings--> Sounds--> Notifications I can change the sound for ALL notifications. But is there a way to have a distinct tone for SMS and each email account. I am brand new to Android, so excuse me if this seems like an obvious answer. Thanks.
I believe if you go into each application (like gmail or sms) you press the menu option and change the ringtone. I had to do that yesterday and it works ok (I only tried changing the gmail ringer and sms).
I use an Exchange account and two imap accounts, i dont want work emails blasting the audible alert off, but i do want the two imap accounts to have audible notifications.
Is this possible?
I only have 1 account linked to the phone, a Gmail account. I looked in the Gmail app settings and can't find a way to silence the ringtone everytime I receive an email.
Is there a way to silence the email notification without silencing SMS?
from gmail app, menu, settings, click on your email address, ringtone & vibrate option
Is there any way to invert notifications so that the newest message is always displayed first. When I get multiple messages on the gear fit, it always show the oldest one first. Also, is anyone able to get email notifications to work on a non samsung device. Under notifications, I can only select gmail, but not the default email app.
I use maildroid for email and have no problem getting email notifications . I don't use the stock email app so no idea why you can't chose it in notifications
If anyone know how to invert the notifications showed in the gear fit it would be a point... For the moment Gear Fit is unuseless showing always the oldest notification...
I am receiving text but not email notifications....how do fix this please?
Hello xda community,
Recently I have jumped back from iPhone to android and decided to buy mate 10 pro - I have been loving it so far. There is only one issue I can't fix no matter what:
Notification badges (count) doesn't appear on 2 email apps I use: on Inbox and on Outlook.
I have tried everything. I have set power options so that these applications have all permissions, I have checked the in-app settings to see if everything is enabled there, I have checked that notifications are enabled for all emails within the apps and I have long pressed the home screen, went under notification Badge app icons and have set Badge display mode to Unread message and gave that permission to all apps.
After doing all that, notification badges appear on messaging app, SMS app, Dialer - but not on my two emailing apps.
Is there any trick I'm missing here. I work with two email accounts alot, so if anyone could help me resolve, or tell me if the badges work for them would be greatly appreciated.
Best regards,
Leafberry
The first suggestion I'd make is that you amalgamate all of your mail accounts into K-9 Mail and forget about the double-handling.
I can tell you that the badges work with K-9 Mail, though if there are more than 9 unread messages, the badge will be a single white dot in the centre of the badge background. Is this what you're experiencing with Inbox and Outlook, or are there simply no badges applied to the icons whatsoever?
I haven't tried either Outlook or Inbox on my Mate 10 Pro but I'm currently using this email app which I have been using it since I had my iPhone 5s and it works great. I'm running over 10 email accounts within the app and it's been great so far.
And regards to your problem, the badge works fine for it as now I have 31 of unread emails.
I can't post a link as I'm a new member but you can try to download the app Play Store. The app is in Beta stage:
