I just bought an relatively inexpensive "Samsung original" battery from Amazon.de but it was a fake with no NFC contrary to the claims in the description of the product (serial number was listed as AA1D305JS/2-B but I guess the entire batch of fakes has the same number).

It seems like most of the ones on ebay are actually advertising themselves genuine, which is doubtful considering the prices they're selling for.
Compare the build/size/exterior labeling to a genuine one. If it's got the exact same exterior, I honestly doubt you can tell for absolute certain. However, in my experience, Samsung batteries are always at or very very close to rated capacity. If a battery isn't anywhere near rated capacity yet has Samsung labeling on the exterior, you can either assume it's a knockoff or it's a bad genuine battery which you'd return/get a replacement for in either situation.
And obviously the way you can get a rough guide on capacity is by using a battery app to compare how many mV you have on a full charge with a genuine Samsung battery & one that looks genuine but you believe is a knockoff.
Edit - Yep, price is normally a dead giveaway too. Tho genuine SGS2 batteries can be had fairly cheaply sometimes (say $25-30 Vs $35-$40 normally as an example, if it's $15 it's almost certainly a knockoff. I wouldn't buy one without the chance to examine it & test it with the ability to get a refund if I wasn't happy with it (Which I did with an OEM battery once; wasn't advertised as genuine tho).
In trying to find a genuine 2000mah Samsung for myself, I ended up paying a little extra ($40ish) off eBay for one which is as described by MistahBungle. As a side note, if you have an i9100 as opposed to s2 variant, don't touch it unless its product code is K1A2EBEGSTD. Not sure about the product codes for s2 variants.
Edit: also note that the above code is for the 2000mah battery, not the standard 1650

I ended up buying what *looks* like a retail, official, genuine Samsung battery from ebay (so hopefully not as expensive as buying from a shop). It's not worth risking it for a non-genuine, they last like 2 weeks and die.
Wise move & exactly what I thought after I had that one experience with a non-genuine battery. Pay a bit extra for the genuine article, it just plain works.
(FWIW, the prices I was referring to are for genuine 2000mAh batteries, you can get genuine 1650mAH batteries for surprisingly good prices -~14 Euro)

In addition to that you should also check the weight of the battery. There original one weights about 33 gramms while non-genuine ones often weight only about 25 grams (and obviously have less capacity).
Yep great point

It's also easy to judge if you simply use it for a couple of days and see how long it lasts on a singe charge. A genuine battery will work for a good couple of days. A fake will be dead in a day.
The only place in the UK that has Gear S accessories for pre-order is Expansys as far as I can see.

Black and white charging dock.
Also, Gear Circle available for pre-order, in all colours.

Please post should anyone find any other accessories i.e, replacement straps etc.
Having just spent £300+ on a watch (and a little bit more for a note 3 ) I am in the mood for saving a bit of money on accessories
A few alternatives for the gear circle;
LG Headset
SONY
SNEER iSport

Samsung have listed some additional straps in various colours (towards the bottom of the page)
No pricing as yet although I suspect they'll be priced up on release day tomorrow.

Looking at the price of the watch, I am guessing £49.99 for each - be surprised if they dip below £30
Anyone else want to have a guess?

I only took of the in ear and connected a earhook for a speaker.
This one. It costs $13.88. Why is it so much cheaper than, for example, this one, which costs $21.49?
Is the more expensive one better? Are they even legit, original LG batteries, and not some 2000 mAh crap?
Oh, and this one is only $7.99
First one from China definitely not original LG, pixelated or no LG logo at bottom.

With the exception of the pixelated one, they seem to be legitimate.
They are cheaper because LG marks up the price on products on their website because you know you're buying quality. These may have been made or ordered straight from a factory.
However, they could just be generic clones. China doesn't follow the same copyright and patent standards as the rest of the world. They allow their factories to produce materials with a name that may not be true.
The $21.49 guarantees that is it not a clone, but does come from Hong Kong.
The $7.99 one comes from Brooklyn, says it's genuine, but does not guarantee it. It could've been cloned in China and shipped to a warehouse in America.
Nonetheless, you should get the same functionality out of all of them.
Since my last post I received Anker battery for LG G3, used their batteries the past 2-3 years in other devices, trusted quality.
Similar performance as my stock the past 3 days.

You guys believe this is indeed a genuine product? the seller really emphasizes the legitimacy of it a number of times in the description.. given the price what do you guys thinks?

It's even cheaper on Aliexpress

As for authenticity, it will probably be the same Samsung charger that is sold without the Samsung branding. What happens in China is once they get the specs and production blueprints from the OEM, they start making on the side for themselves, in addition to supplying the OEMs with required number. Remember the previous fast wireless charger from Samsung which they sold for $75? The same thing has been available on Aliexpress for over a year now for about $15 and I have not seen anyone complaining about it.
Three years back I bought a 3 coil wireless charger called Itian A6 from Aliexpress for less than half the price of Tylt Vu from which they cloned it. And to this day it is working fine and I am currently using it to charge my S8+. But at this price, I am seriously considering getting the clone of Samsung's new convertible wireless charger.
Well.. this dude proves the non genuine Samsung wireless charger is crap, which is the main reason I asked the question:
Issue: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IkR3H1Tnlp0
Resolution: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fr4RlrfHIMk
I guess that can also happen. But if you buy from Aliexpress, you have buyer protection and all you need to do is make a video that demonstrates the issue (within the stipulated time) and you will get a full refund.
In 2015 I and a friend bought 16000mah power banks by Choetech that can charge itself and other devices with Qualcomm Quick Charge 2.0 spec. When we got the power banks, my friend's was working fine but mine won't charge itself with QC2.0 (as indicated by the lack of green LED) although it did charge other devices with QC2.0 speeds. I took some photos indicating the issue and the seller issued a full refund of $30.

What a douche, he buys a fake one and whines about it that it doesn't work.
Personally i wouldn't buy anything from china that says its genuine and is half price of the original msrp, expect it to be fake.
I bought one of these it's definitely fake, it feels cheap and nasty. It's not even leather... it's hard rubber you can even see the joint molding on the side. It scent is very strong, I usually have my qi charger sitting in front of me on my desk just above my keyboard but now its back in the box waiting to hear back from the seller for a refund.
The sliding mechanism does not slide like the genuine product doesn't feel solid, cheap sliding mech with a lot of friction.
The bottom rubber which is suppose to help the device not slide around doesn't even touch the table it's too thin.
Also does not come with a charger or cable just the pad and clearly a poor quality USB-C adapter due to the print was half faded.
After all that it does support fast charging which was surprising lol I haven't tested it long enough to see if it cuts out etc
Thanks for the info! I'll be sure to NOT buy these then..
Where to buy samsung A7 Amazon and flipkart don't available this stuff
During last weekend, I ordered several protective back cover on ebay.de.
Since then, two of those (China located) "Powersellers" refunded my money because they can't deliver or they have mixed up A8+ with A7 2018 in their product description. OMG, they really do not know which articles they sell. Others from local sellers are on its way.
Amazon has several cover, with too long delivery time direct from China (late November/early December). Even Samsung offers only one or two windowed flip cover (which I don't like). At Noreve, they are in planning phase to produce their lovely leather cover.
I have found that in many chinese stores, like aliexpres they are listing things for the name "samsung galaxy A7 2018" but it`s obvious that they are wrong as you can see the wrong holes.
So when you are searching don`t believe only to the main name but use the phone code name too >> "A750F" or "SM-A750F". This effectively reduce the search results to way more real ones.
