Hi guys, i`m facing a very boring problem.
I have a G300 and today i have installed a Cyanogenmod ROM.
The problem is that none of the google services appaear to be able to connect despite the presence of a working internet connection.
Even the Playstore display the famous "no connection...retry" message.
I have tried to rebbot....factory reset...checking if the time is correct.
The host file in the etc folder display only the line 127.0.0.1 localhost line.
what i have to do??

Pretty sure that is what is doing it. Either put a # in front of it, or rename the host file and reboot, see if that doesn't do the trick.

Then you might be using the incorrect Gapps for your version of CM.

Gapps = Google Apps, CM = Cyanogenmod
If you forgot or flashed the wrong Gapps they won't work.

That Cyanogenmod is ported, there is no original. Maybe that also affects it. I always download gapps from http://goo.im/gapps.

using root explorer go to data>apps. you will find an app named something like com.playstore or something like that. just find the app with the playstore icon. delete it but before deleting copy it somewhere else just to make sure. now the app will be uninstalled from your phone. download google play app from somewhere on the internet and install it. i think that it should fix the problem.
Hey imbawind,
did u use your adrenaline script with the cm rom?
i think the problem is the script.
Whenever i use it on stock rom, it work just fine, but when i use it on cm rom include cm9, the market force close when i click it. But the problem solve after delete play store from system app and clear dalvik-cache and reinstall again.
I think your script only work on stock rom.

Hi everyone!
I hope someone here will have an asnwer for my question...
So , the question is, How can I know for sure, which Android version runs on my device, if I don't trust the information
provided in "build.prop" file.
Specifically, how can I be sure I have an ICS and not GB ?
Thank you in advance!

Furthermore if your running ICS for android version it should have a number ranging from 4-4.04.

Thanks, but both answers don't help in my case, as they do use the contents of "build.prop".
In my case, I don't trust "build.prop" , and hence looking for alternative ways to determine the Android version.

What's your beef with build.prop? The only other way I know is to download a ROM of your choice, unzip it, Look in META-INF>com>android> and open up the metadata file and you should be able to see it in there. But, I suppose that could be fudged as well. Is someone launching some sort of Android conspiracy against you?

LOL .
OK I'll explain myself...
I have a chinese phone, which runs Android.
Manufacturer , releases new ROMs from time to time.
Last few ROMs, were "4.0.3", as it was written in "build.prop", but after installation,
I saw there is no Right to Left support, and for me , that is a sign, that the ROM isn't really 4.0.3,
as (AFAIK) 4.0.3 supports RTL out ofthe box...
Now, I still hope they will release real 4.0.X ROM some day, but till then, I don't want
to install every ROM they release. I want to identify whether ROM is 2.3.6 or 4.0.X before I Install it,
and not based on "build.prop".
So, I hope now you have full explanation, and will be able to help.
Thanks!

Open it with notepad++ and check the firmware.

I9100 LineageOS 11Everyone who play close attention to CyanogenMod would know the sad news that it is gone,The new Os is LineageOS,so i switch to LineageOS.But they are same with each other.Though KitKat was no longer support by any organization and no one build it with latest code.I think KitKat is the best Android version for our old i9100.Besides,i have cm/LineageOs code,so i build Rom by myself and share it.It will be based on latest LineageOs code, but the old is built with CyanogenMod,i will always repo source code before i build it.It is pure official code.By the way,i am even not a developer,i just repo source code then build it.I am a Chinese, with poor English, may not express my opinion correctly.you can post bugs and advise, maybe i can consider or solve it,but the probability is very low,i think?

Q&A Of This Build(Still Edit)
How Long Should I Update The ROM?
as you know, cyanogenmod don't support cm11 officially anymore, many developers turn to cm14,it won't have new features just patches to the rom, such as security patch and so on.so just update it when you are all right.
What Is It Mean By "No Change Log,Monthly Build"
normally,i will check some main packages(such as framework_base,but not all) to see anything different,if it is same,i will say"No Change Log,Monthly Build"
What Have Changed Since Cyanogenmod Stop Official Updating?
obviously, security patch hava changed, some little patches too.but not too much.

I don't understand anything.
What is the link address?
What would be the next step?

I hope post #14 by @gsstudios will help - otherwise we could get "lost in translation".
Would be nice to have an updated cm11!

Hi
I am just downloading your cm11 20160624 .
How it works:
- choosed from the op link "360yun (you must enter fc58 in the blank box)"
- then i wrote "fc58" in the box and confirmed it by pressing blue square button on the right
- then i got the cm11 file and pressed the download button with the the blue arrow pointing down.
download started
I did not have to make any login or baidu account (which i did not want to do)
Used my notebook with W-lan and yandex browser.
