Dear Bro,
I had updated my y210 for the latest firmware from huawei website, after update, I lost status bar notification, apn, powersave option, also the huawei keyboard, I had tried to download other stock firmwares and do upgrade, unfortunately the phone doesnt accept downgrade, i had searched for stock rom for middle east channel, but with no luck, so i had manged to flash it through fastboot after i had unpacked the stock rom. Later I had found the customization package that I need, but i could not flash it in the normal way (vol up+vol down + power) cause the package version is less the version on the phone, and y210 does not accept normal flashing for updates less than version it had. So i had unpacked the package and flash it through the fastboot "fastboot flash cust cust.img", it was taken, and i can find it in my phone under /cust/channel/middleasia and all updates there, but the phone did not perform the customization installation. my questions are :
* How I can force the phone to run the customizations?
* How I can downgrade the phone firmware version?
* Where I can find the middle east stock rom?
With many thx and accept my apologize for bad english.
Since nobody give a hand of help, i start unpack the custom stock rom with build C856, also the update customization pack, after long tries and rootings of my device i found the way how to restore huawei customization (Status bar, power save option, huawei keyboard, google maps and huawe boot animation).
Download the attachment from the link : http://www.4shared.com/archive/dOXUM1usba/StockRom856WithCustom.html
turn off the phone, press vol down and power it on, you will enter the fastboot, connect the phone to the computer using usb cable, extract the attachment to any folder and open folder. Yet run flash.bat
3 min and u will have the huawei stock rom with customizations :cyclops::cyclops::cyclops::cyclops::angel::victory:

Huawei Ascend Y210-100 Successfully Flashed
@mua30 Thanks a lot for the Rom link. It fixed my Ascend y210-0100 that I had unintentionally bricked. The whole process was very smooth.
Please, can someone share this Rom again? The link doesn't working. And this is the last hope to revive my phone. Please share it with me.
Many thanks for helping!!!

Hi everyone,
I am having a strange issue here. I updated to MM Beta using the Local Update Method. Update went fine, told me everything was ok.
Well, as soon as the screen turned on, I noticed that nothing was ok. The Honor logo appears, then it goes to System boot and stays there.
I didn't unlock the bootloader neither did I root it, which means everything is still original.
My problem now is, I can't do anything in the sense of:
Not possible to do a rollback, Install Fails
Not possible to install a Full Official Firmware UPDATE.APP, Install Fails
Not possible to use fastboot to flash images of course since I did not unlock it
Not possible to use the USB HiSuite Recovery method (Connect to USB and power on while pressing volume+) because it reboots instantly after showing me the "Download Update" button
I tried with several different Versions of the Firmware for PLK-L01, but nothing seems to work.
I already wrote an email to the Honor Support, but of course it will take time to answer and I don't have any other phone right now.
Should I unlock the bootloader by using the Code generated by the Huawei Website? If yes, how can I retrieve the information if the phone is not booting?
Or should I do something else?
It looks like nobody was or is in the situation I am, because everyone was able to resolve. I tried already everything that I could search and think of.
I appreciate if someone takes the time to help me since I ran out of Ideas.
And of course
Merry Christmas to everyone
Well I called support, and of course they want me to send them the phone.
Does anyone have experience in flashing the extracted firmware directly to the phone?
If I am able to unlock the bootloader, is it worth it trying? Or am I going to screw up stuff even more?
unlocking the bootloader may not help you* - and if you're sending it back, it will help you even less!
you can only flash boot, system and user from Huawei bootloader, it's a sh!t bootloader to be honest, you'll have modem and other bits from the MM flash.
did you place the rollback onto an sdcard in a directory called "dload", insert the card then do the "three button combo"?
turn it on holding vol + / vol - and power, keeping them held until the firmware updater is displayed - it should then force the downgrade.
this leaves you with an unusable phone so you then need to place the UPDATE.APP from B121** in this same sdcard directory and do the same again
You can then do B121-B140 via local update on the working phone..
* - actually unlocked bootloader saved me, flashed B121 system and user and rollback package worked
** - possibly B100 and work your way up

Yes, did it. It always says Failed to Update.
Neither the rollback, nor a complete Firmware works. I really don't know what to do.
On the phone they told me that it is normal that this happens, so I am quite questioning the quality of the Update service of Huawei Honor.
Still they want to cover it over the Warranty, but it will take a lot of time. And I seriously need a phone ASAP.
Any other advices maybe?
Thanks for the support anyway :good:
So, I was able to get my phone to boot back by unlocking the bootloader and flashing the B100 Firmware (Like described here)
The phone booted finally, the only problem is the Sim card not being recognized, probably because of the MM MODEM.
Now I will try to flash another full Firmware to see if I am able to get the modem back.
Otherwise I was thinking of flashing the TWRP recovery and creating myself a flashable MODEM from the UPDATE.APP of the B100. Will that work or is it influenced from the bootloader too?
the bootloader has limited end-user commands i don't think you will be able to flash "modem"

Thank you, I was able to recover my phone completely in the end with a different approach.
I just used and flashed the B130 Full Firmware through the Vol+ Vol- Power combination. Even though it said it failed, it actually works flawlessly. The phone works even better than before.
I was scared I would not be able to recover it, but with an unlocked bootloader and the right tools, everything is possible.
So thank you again @sminki, and thanks to all of the XDA Forum members who published tools like Huawei Update Extractor and the single firmware files.
:good::good::good::highfive:
that's great news, welcome back!
This is alot to deal with so please bear with me,
about 4 or 5 weeks ago i manually updated my p9 lite vnsl31 to emui 5 (european version) using twrp (emui4 version) for the update.app and then revolution recovery for the vns file.
twrp is the only one that can flash the update.app for some reason and revolution recover is the only one that flashes the data files
so for the first week it ran just fine, then out of the blue it stopped connecting to my pc, i first though hardware error but i saw an unsolved problem on xda with the exact same situation. so i waited for wifi data to download the origianal stock firmware but me being me i didnt want to re lock my bootloader (found this thread to help me do that) just so i could use more wifi on an OTA, so i used firmware finder to get the new software and because my software was/is carrier locked(if not that, its the one with a custom boot screen with carriers name), my friend had the vns- l31 middle Africa software which i should have used in the first place but didnt, so i found his software (still both of us on vnsl31) and downloaded it using firmware finder.
i then booted into revolution recovery and new that it wouldn't flash the update.app (still in zip format, no extraction). so me thinking i was clever tried to flash the marshmallow twrp and have soft bricked my phone, all the fixes so far require pc connection (which my phone wont connect for some reason),
i also tried the dload method but it stops at 5% with an error and i know why, its the wrong file type for my phone (vns - l31cxxx) and i dont know my version any more and cant afford to download countless files with no succession,
THANKS IF U TOOK THE TIME TO READ THIS, PLEASE HELP ME, I REALLY HAVE TO FIX THIS </3:crying::crying::crying:
Anyone.. anything please
Hi all, I am stuck.
I got my Mate 10 Pro (BLA-L29) and wanted to install LinageOS 15. I followed the guide here, rooting and everything went fine. I installed LinageOS 15, the most current build then, via fastboot flash system systemXXX.img. The process went well, the phone rebooted. But since then its stuck in eRecovery Mode. It offered me the "factory wipe" option on the first time, since then I get the options of Rescue (which times out or can't find the files), Shutdown and reboot. It also shows a "this device is not to be trusted" splashscreen during boot, including a link that leads to a 404 on the EMUI-OS-Site. Sorry if that has been asked already i did not find much regarding eRecovery.
I managed to install TWRP, but strangely it still boots into eRecovery. I can force it to boot into TWRP, but it simply will not switch away from eRecovery.
So, what are my options?
1) wait and see, try new versions of LinageOS.
2) use the firmware finder to get the original firmware (any pointers about which one? I'd go for the earliest 8.0 for the BLA-L29?) But how can I get it to the phone since its not an image and the phone does not have a SD-Card? Can I mount it via USB?
3) Get rid of eRecovery or force a switch to TWRP - is that doable?
Any help would be greatly appreciated. I did a lot of custom firmware back when I had the first Desire, but since then I used Blackberry or other, non-rooted devices. I want my control over my OS back.
Thank you in advance, let me know if you need any more information.
Ok, if anyone else needs help:
This helped me, I got back to the Mate 10 Pro Stock ROM
https://forum.xda-developers.com/mate-10/how-to/root-updates-rebranding-unbricking-t3701970
Important: after flashing, you need to remove the USB-cable, otherwise it will just boot into recovery
Hi hope someone can advise as I'm loosing the will to live
I've a mate 8 NXT-L29C636 which I believe is asia region although I've from the UK
I was running stock android 6 with EMUI 4.0
When I ask it to check for any update, it always came back with no updates.
I saw plenty of threads saying they had updated to android 7 and 8 and how they done it.
So I downloaded Firmware Finder from Google play and without too much difficulty managed to start installing firmware. That's when my problems started
This was two weeks ago and I've been spending 100+ hours trying to recover.
I think it failed a 5% or something and since then my phone will not boot properly.
I can only fastboot it and sometimes to erecovery and EMUI to wipe/factory reset
Searching forums it seems DC Phoenix was the only software that could help so I bought it.
So far I've tried flashing firmware from DC-Unlocker site in standard more but all goes ok with success for all the partitions but it requires the phone to put into upgrade mode, something my phone never does and I can't force it.
So that leaves me with advanced mode, again all successful but booting the phone just gives the huawei logo then reboots again
I've tried different stock roms NXT-L29C636 but they all claim successful but still can't boot my phone
I've followed the steps in DC-Phoenix instructions to no avail.
The last step today meant shorting a pin to ground to force the phone into a mode when it was seen as windows as Huawei USB COM device, which seemed to work.
The instructions claimed I can use any NXT board flash as they're all the same and again all successful i used
NXT-AL10_M00A102_Board Software_Global _Nonspecific_Android 6.0_EMUI 4.0_05021WLB_4.dtwork
but the log file now says build is;
Build number: HLNXTAL10BM00A102
Model: HUAWEI NXT-L29
Battery state: 3249mv
from
Build number: :NXT-L29C432B192
Model: HUAWEI NXT-L29
Battery state: 7035mv
So my question is am I using the wrong firmware? It is always successful so I don't think it's bricked but I can't work out what I'm doing wrong.
Other things to mention is pressing vol - and vol + and power with sd card and dload doesn't work either.
Sorry for long post and thanks for reading
Any help very much appreciated
Hello xda family
I got poco f1 for less than a month now, recently got notification of 10.3.7 update which was 1.8G in size, followed instructions and after update was completed and phone was restarted, the phone is in unusable condition, apps don't fully work, update app gives white screen then goes unresponsive, screen doesn't go off and drains super quickly.
I did some research and it doesn't seem to be a global issue, so is there a way to restore functionality on the phone?
I did some research and since update app doesn't work post-update, I can't use it to reinstall rom, so for fast boot restore I found out I have to unlock boot loader which takes 72 hours that I can't use the phone. Is there any way to restore to old firmware, uninstall update, reinstall without unlocking bootloader?
I'm desperate for ideas guys
My WiFi is not working properly after the update. It gets connected but I can't browse anything
Does anyone have same issue

sir what do you mean "unusable condition"
did you buy used Poco ?
anyways! since your BOOT is locked! you cannot use TWRP,
download the recovery rom from https://mirom.ezbox.idv.tw/en/phone/beryllium/ , 1.8gb, rename the file to "update.zip" , put it in internal storage "download" folder, goto DOWNLOADER app, call the update from internal storage (right side top, 3 dots) and select "update.zip" file and apply! the device should boot in to MIUI RECOVERY and apply the update.... REBOOT!
if this doesn't help... then
ASSUMING YOU HAVE ALL THE QUALCOM DRIVER INSTALLED!
downlaod MI FLASHER,
download miui10.3.7 FASTBOOT ROM (2.6BG) FROM https://mirom.ezbox.idv.tw/en/phone/beryllium/
and boot device in to FASTBOOT (green android bot on screen) ,
extract, and then further extract fastboot rom, until u see folder name "images" , open miflasher, click SELECT and POINT it to IMAGES folder,
connect poco to your pc , click button "FLASH ALL" (only) and hit FLASH (or START), you will see slow progress bar (green) and full rom will be flashed!
FIRST REBOOT WILL TAKE TIME
YOU WILL LOOSE ALL YOUR DATA
inshallah it will be okay now!
call for 72 hour unlock time! if you wana root your poco! but IF YOU DON'T KNOW WHY SHOULD YOU ROOT? then probably you should not unlock your device
best of luck!

try to hard reset your phone. press vol up + power button simultaneously until recovery comes up. then reset
