My CHD'S battery backup has deteriorated very much in. I have a 9 month old rooted CHD, and I have tried all the following things to improve battery backup, but nothing Is working
Tried several roms, like Samflare, X-Flare, Jelly Xperia, currently using SLD ROM BY Cmahendra,
Tried Battery calibration, that didn't work
What happens is, the phone charges till 50 to 60 percent normally and then automatically jumps to 100 percent, then the phone lasts only for 3 to 3.5 hours before dying, I even tried Pure Performance and Kash Kernels, they didn't help either.
Please someone help me as soon as possible.

charge your battery over night,
and flash 4.2 Stock CHD rom
if same pro. persists again then it will be a battery pro. i think....

Yeah I also tried Stock 4.2 ROM, but the battery drop is there. I have also checked my battery, it's not swollen or anything, so this must be a software problem :-\

@pankajpadra Thanks for recommending but his problem is battery itself. May be he still did not realize it after trying all , almost all, roms.
try xld rom
I guess the problem is with the battery itself...my battery used to do same...jump from 60-100 while charging...so I replaced it...and its solved now..

I flashed this custom rom: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1480337 and was using it for like two days and everything was super smooth, responsive and so on but than I noticed that my battery percentage stays the same until I reboot the phone. I tried installing other roms and kernels, I even relocked the bootloader and went back to stock but no help. Please help guys.. I am attaching image of my battery use here which is constant with steps where I reboot..

switch off data,sync,wifi,bluetooth etc
Flash sirkays 6.1.1 ics kernel. In which you can use your phone for 2 days
Then flash hybrid rom(2.3)--I choose this rom coz it is lite and can run very smooth even in 800mhz
Then under clock your phone to 800mhz and use conservative governor
r
Thanks but I don’t think you understood me. Even though I do have battery problems concerning its life it is not the problem I am posting here for. The problem is that my phone is unable to measure battery percentage for some reason..

Charge your phone to 100% (421)and then calibrate it....IT SHOULD WORK
maybe reflash ics firmware or change battery or take it to repair center
Just restart your phone.
r
When I plug my charger percentage remains frozen so can’t see wen it is fully charged. And when I try to calibrate it just says 0% battery spent for example when calibrating web browsing... It is as if some battery sensor burned out or something. Could that be the case?

No it didn’t it just started couple of days ago.
The thing is that I can read my battery status via hard battery calibrator script which means that sensors are still operating. but I cant recharge my phone via usb and I cant reed my battery status on it (in status bar). Also my battery time is extremely poor - like 12 hours max on very little usage (about 8 hours of me sleeping included) or like 3-4 hours of heavy usage. Is there any one here with knowledge to help me? Thanks in advance

hey guys :
I have an Xperia x10 and there is something strange about charging
first it used to charge completely in a matter of and hour and half
now it takes more than 5 hours and it stuck in the 80 zone .. I have to unpuge it few times but when it reaches 90 it charges in a matter of minutes
the thing is I am using a new ROM and it wasn't like that before
i wiped the battery stats and did everything
one more thing is it consumes battery when I use it while it,s charging ..strange ..
do you think my battery is finished ?
or it,s a software issue ?
hey
i think it is the rom problem wich rom r using.... when i had installed my first rom it was eating my battery like ICE-cream.....
anyway... you can change the governor used to Interactive.... this one gives the best battery life and performance.....
also you could install fxp125 cm7.2 i am using it since last 4 days and must say... my battery was didnt deop a single point during the night.... otherwise it does on any other rom or even the stock rom....
love it

Hii
I m facing the same issue. After Upgrade to 4.2.1
Battery started giving dokha. Once reach 30% it drops to 10.
I m looking for the solution too.
May be battery calibration will be a solution but for that it asks for root access
Which I don't want what to do.?
Hey...this issue is there with 4.2.1 stock rom...not everyone must have noticed it though...but it does not effect the usability of the phone...though i agree its irritating...try to flash a custom rom & see if this issue exists for u...for me that worked...whatever works for u...battery calibration didnt help though
Possible fix for battery drain(30%-10%) rooted device.
Hey guys i used to have the same issue before, calibrating didnt work at first, flashing custom roms didnt do the trick either so in the end i finally snapped n tried calibrating the battery the other way round. I calibrated my battery when it reached a sufficiently low charge(did mine at 7%). I used rom toolbox(device must be rooted) which can be found in the play store, ull find the option in rom management > wipe options(DO NOT tick any other options other than wipe battery stats). Other battery calibration apps might work but it didnt for me. after wiping battery stats it will ask u to reboot. Reboot the device and let it charge to 100%. Then check if the drain is gone:good:!
hope this helps you guys!
Use at own risk. I will not be held responsible.
even im facing the same problem. Also after 87% of charging it jumps directly to 100% in 2 minutes.I have replaced the battery but still same issue.Service center repairers said that its motherboard problem but i dont think so.If I charge only till 85%, I dont face drain problem after 30% till 10%.but if i charge it till 100% den my battery drains in 2 minutes from 30% to12%
Ya dude . And the same is happening here too.....

Battery Drain Issue - RESOLVE
I was having hell lot of Problem with Battery backup (using SamHD V3.2), tried using Calibration but didnt work.
Then I after searching/surfing the Internet, used a custom Method as mention below :
1. Charge your Phone to 100%
2. Download "ROM TOOLBOX Lite" from Play Store.
3. Go to ROM Management -- Wipe Option -- Click Wipe Battery Stats (DO NOT tick any other options other than wipe battery stats)
4. It will ask for Reboot, do it.
5. Then charge the phone to 100%
6. Calibrate the phone using Battery Calibration & then start using the phone.
Phew!!! it works now, I was mad behind this problem and now my life is kool...
Note : If this doesn't work then instead of point no. 1, please do the Point No. 2 at 5% or 10% battery status

I have Micromax Canvas hd purchased 1 month ago.I m facing a serious trouble which service center also cant solve(as i have tred visiting it). When I charge my mobile to100% and when it reaches to 30%,my battery drains too quick till 12% without having any apps open. After 12% I tried charging till 35% but it drains normal till 0%.I have updated android from service center, changed battery also. They say that motherboard needs to be replaced(they havnt understood the problem yet properly). Is it firmware problem?
in which some files are corrupted due to which it is showing wrong battery stats.Beacuse I get normal battery life.I can use it for 1 day after normal usage.
After 87% of charging it jumps to 100% in 2 minutes. But if i charge only till 87% then i dont face drain problem from 30% to 12%.
Is this a motherboard issue?

Try a battery calibration it should work if not then try installing a custom ROM this will definitely solve your problem but in case you don't want a custom Rom try installing Pure performance and if you don't want to try even this one then try downloading a battery indicator app which will show correct readings. Generally this is just a problem with the software you'll get the complete 100% output but only the numbers out there are different. so it should not be a big problem.
Hit thanks if i've helped.

Hey it happens to me as well. Battery calibration I am yet to try. The real reason I wanted to reply here is I have had a bad experience with Pure Performance MOD. Its just a zip file flashable through CWM. What it does is it makes ur phone faster than ever, however battery drains equally as fast. Before you try it, I really really really really suggest a backup through CWM.

Sir but it means you're facing few problems which many don't , yes few of them complain of such problems but there are also many who've experienced dramatic increase in battery backup.
Source: My personal experience
Before i installed this ROM, For example in night by 10.00 pm if the battery % was around 70 by morning it would be around 64-63 but now it is 69 or max 68 and i also see changes in benchmark tests etc etc.
I recommend you reflashing the Rom and would recommend it to others.
---------- Post added at 08:21 PM ---------- Previous post was at 08:20 PM ----------
Pure performance is a Rom developed to increase the overall response of your device. It also boost battery backup etc etc Search about it in XDA.

I don't really bother about benchmark scores. As far as system response time being faster using PPX, I go for an alternative.
Settings-> Developer options-> Lower the window and transition animation scale to .5x [Currently running X flare v2]
This is why it did not work out for me bro...

I have had a similar issue with my o3d which seems more like a hardware problem because a re-flash seems to do nothing to help the issue nor does battery calibration. I am stuck at an almost constant 0% though so my issue may be different i do have a thread in the o3d forum about this. (although i do recommend calibattery app if stuck for a battery gauge even though it is not completely accurate but better than nothing). If under warranty i would just try to get a replacement.

last time i rooted my phone there was not a asingle problem
now battery 1% die in every 5 seconds
i tried battery calibiration
used wakelock to find apps then greenify them still hardly 40 min till my 100% goes to 0% and its new phone and battery was working well before rooting
last time root had no rpooblems
this time i installed SQlite installer for root guess thats reason but i cant delete its really imp app for me
Battery stuck on 14% a long time.
@Rohit.
What I did:
1. Download "Battery calibration" from playstore. (Developer- Nema)
2. Drained battery till 1%..
3. Charged the phone to a 100%. [Received 2 calls for approx 10 mins in total, for which I had to unplug the charger.]
4. Once battery was 100% I FIRST UNPLUGGED the charger and then clicked Battery Calibration.
The last step here is not what the app suggests in the instructions, I only realized it after I clicked Battery Calibration.
I hope this works for you too brother.
I have tried several ROMS, MIUI, stock 4.1, 4.2, Samsung and xperia mods.
None of the ROM provides better battery life, which mean there is some problem with the kernel and Mediatek libraries.
Usually phone is @ 60 % before i go to sleep and in approx 8 hours battery drains to 30, Data, GPS, Sync are switched off, no apps running, there is a continuous 4-7% drop in battery percentage.
Worse is when i play ingress on my phone battery drops by 40% / h, i have an app BatteryDrain which tells the approx hourly drain.
Are you all facing similar issue. can you guys please share the screen shot of battery drain.
Okay.... I will give u the solutions in increasing order of intensity..
1)check auto brightness off
2) go to settings and check battery statistics.... Force stop / Uninstaller any app if it consumes to much battery
5)go to developer settings and click on don't keep activities.. Also delete battery stats in Cwm recovery ( not responsible for Wierd stuff which might happen)
4) install greenify , and hibernate apps....
6) install juice defender ( my battery life is doubled )
7) flash pure performance(look in general section) remember to backup. ( not responsible for damage)
7) take the backup of ur rom and reflash stock 4.2.1 ( not responsible for damage)
8) it might be something wrong with ur battery... So go buy another genuine CHD battery or steal it from ur friend
9) Go to service centre and show them how bad the device battery is.... If u have Warrenty ur in luck

Yes I have the same issue what do u have Now, as soon as my battery reaches to 30% my phone gets switched off,
I have tried all ROM but having same issue,
I have flashed Stock 4.2.1 ROM of My phone 919 but same issue,
So what I did I have just replaced my battery with one my friend who is having same Canvas CHD phone, Now I don't have any Battery issue.
And strange thing is My OLD battery is working very good on my friends Mobile,
So he is also not having any battery issue
He is on SamHD and I am on Stock 4.2.1 ROM
So my advice is,
Just try to use On stock ROM for few days you will back to Good Battery Life

Thank you have installed greenify and Juice defender, later will try pure performance and last option would be to buy new battery.
Cant i buy battery from different manufacturer instead of Micromax? Like ERD, MAXX.

Yup... Do share the results.....
And as far as the battery is concerned.... Go for a genuine mmx battery.....But I won't go as far as to forbid u buying other company stuff.......

I have one better option. instead of buying new battery u should go for battery banks. I just bought nokia battery bank worth 1150 bucks and the benifit is it is not phone specific and will charge battery quickly as it has more mah than normal charger.

I note that you have tried several ROMs. but have you ever tried calibrating your battery at least once after flashing any of those things?!. If not I suggest you calibrate your battery properly and then give your comments.

EDIT: btw, don't use that pure performance mod. it causes issues. you won't need it anyway.
