For android 4.3 you can try camera 360 or something like that.
But if you could install android 4.4, you could install the latest Google Camera available in the play store. It has the lens blur option.

It isn't blur, it's depth of field and is out of focus.

hey ,
today i installed Google camera on my xperia u .. but to see it doesn't have features like lens blur and panorama or photoshpere ..
i understand that photosphere requires gyro and since xu does not have gyro maybe it doesn't show up .. but why doesn't features like panorama and lens blur show ?
currently only video and camera show :/ and im sure i have the latest version of the apk
can someone tell me if there is a way to enable those features or is it that xperia u doesn't support them ?
thanks
@androidous
The new Google camera features are completely based on gyroscope. Panorama is based on photosphere and lens blur requires gyro to calculate the movement of the device. Thus none show on non gyro phones.

I have found nice camera app alternatives for our 3T. Tested on OOS 3.5.4 with 400 DPI.
Moto Camera Modded APK
[APP] Camera & Galery [Non-root users][Advanced features] [17.01.16]
{UpdateV3} Flashable PORT Moto Camera with libs For Stock/Aosp/CM
Probably with Play Store update support [APPS][MM] Moto G4 Camera and G3 Gallery + Unlock Advanced Camera Settings
Alternative HTC 10 apps or [APP] HTC one M9 camera and gallery [No Root]
Recommended CameraNext V22 (tested CameraNextModV22.apk) + PMSCameraNextModv7
Edit :
I've also found working Google Camera 2.7.010. Probably the best solution for blurry photos
Enjoy :victory:
I used the moto camera on RR 5.8.1, selfies and phots, videos are snapping well, the slow motion is the only thing that is broken and lead to app force close, thnk u for sharing the app

Did you tried it on OOS 4.0.3?
I use open camera.
Better judgement on shutter speed, ISO and flash performance. You have to enable camera api2 in the options. https://forum.xda-developers.com/android/apps-games/app-camera-t2850557

I'm running Lineage OS 13 by @Speedo.thc on Honor 7
I've installed Google Camera 3.2, the last version compatible with Marshmallow. I really like the app as its fast and simple. I tried taking pictures with Google Camera Lens Blur but the pictures are taken with very low quality and there are no options for me to change the Resolution. I tried with v2.7 as well and it has the same result. Does anyone else have this problem?
It looks like LOS can't handle lens blur at high quality, you should ask the dev of LOS about it!

As far as I know, Google Camera v3.2 is the last that is supported by Marshmallow.
Google Camera v4.0 and above required Nougat and newer versions
It's a pity cause I love the Lens Blur feature but all the photos from Lens Blur has very low resolution.

There are as many camera ports in xda . Why not try them ? The lenevo super camera and few other !!
He only asked for Google camera the foremost version available
Sorry , he asked about the last but recent version available for marshmallow
Ok
I assert that this is made available under fair use. The original app is available from the Play Store.
modifications:
inverted device check
adjusted top bar position
working:
back cameras
gallery
not working:
front camera
portrait blur(?)
download:

videos can now be taken using the front camera

Play store version is not compatible with my Nokia 8.
I gave it a try. It's better than stock camera app, visibly less noise, but any GCam mod beats it. Still, thanks for doing something new for us.

The Play Store version of Essential Camera only works on Essential Phone. The download link for my modified version is at the bottom of the first post.

Thanks for trying it. I started this project because Essential Camera comes with more options for using the monochrome sensor than Nokia's stock camera app.
I hope to add raw capture soon, but for the moment I'm working on support for the front camera.
Hi,
Does the last Google Camera port from dev "back.rider" is the best for Nokia 8 Scirocco ?
https://www.celsoazevedo.com/files/android/google-camera/dev-backrider/
Or is there a better mod from an other dev ?
Or is it better to use the original Camera app installed by Nokia in factory ?
I want to make the best choice for summer.
Regards.

Sirocco's back camera setup is very similar to the Nokia 7 Plus, so back.rider's port seems a good choice.
back.rider just released test1.3 which is not yet added to the Google Camera Port site.
