[Q] Xperia P brick - Sony Xperia P, U, Sola, Go

Tonight my Xperia P has died. Without any warning, while being charged. I woke up to see it dead and refusing to turn on.
The only sign of life is the battery indicator going red when I plug the charger. Resetting with power+up doesn't work.
I've tried flashing it, and once even succeeded connecting it in flashmode, but that was accidental and I can't reproduce it.
Is there a way to flash such a brick? Any way to put it into flash mode?

I somehow managed to flash it with stock firmware. Didn't help though.

That was usually cause by bad charger or usb connection that depleting your battery. Charging it on working charger and cable for about 30 minutes while the red led appear might help your battery revive. (Based on personal experience though)

It worked, thank you! Though I've already bought Z1C.

Have you tried to check if the phone charge when it's off?

Will your phone discharge below 90% when you plug in the power cable?
On my phone, it will fully charge to 100% before discharging a little to somewhere around 95%. Then it would start charging all over again. I think they call this "trickle charging" and it supposedly helps prevent the battery from being overcharged. If this is the case, then I think it is normal and nothing for you be alarmed about
I've tried but it still discharge.
My phone is below 15% now n still I can't charge it :-(
It also happen when I used floyo v3.6 but when I used cm7 v8 it charges normally. Is it a bug?

is it specific to Sony? …..... because I was using iphone's models for many years, and I never unplug it from the lap-top during the day when i'm in the office, and I never get a battery issue!?
I don't think Charing via pc will affect the battery life.
Only stressing the phone while charging will kill the battery.
Sent from my LT26i using Tapatalk 2
I can't see how charging via usb can do anything to the battery? The standard charger is only a transformer so its at usb voltage for charging
Sent from my LT26i using Tapatalk 2
thank you guys for your comments;
but anyone have an evidence for that? I mean: any one get a issue after charging its phone via USB all the day ? or it's just theories? ..... I'm doing that for many years, and I never get an issue! or maybe because I'm changing my phone every one year .. more-or-less! so if the impact of the charging can comes after 5 or 10 years, I don't mind! anyway the mobile is obsolete after so many years ...
if u read on ur charger (AC) : 5.0VDC , 850mA
while USB plug is 5V 500mA "in general"
this means AC will charge faster and USB will take longer time which may affect battery stats set by android OS..
i passed through personal experience with my arc S
thanks amfirbek92; ... so the problem is maybe due to Andoirdoid! because I started using android only two months ego! ....
I read in the XDA forum, (I'm not able to find the thread!) that android stop charging when the battery is at 100% and start recharging when it became at 90% again and again if the mobile is still plugged to the charger! is it the case ?
if yes, so if I'll keep my mobile plugged to the AC charger all the day, this will not afect the battery ! right ? ...
Something like rom manager, you need root, I'm sure has an option for resetting the battery stored stats etc, so i think it effectively has to learn again. Might be that simple?

that's right..if u use ur cell while it's 100% charged and still plugged into AC u'll see battery will decrease to 90% then restart to charge..anw cleaning battery stats u can find it by flashing a cwm recovery this is useful :http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1596285 here u must reflash back the kernel.sin (be careful to follow instructions)
or an easier way is to flash this one : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1729280&highlight=cwm it's an advanced kernel stock based and has DL recovery (i didn't try it yet )
thanks Ben, .... I've an old x10 pro, rooted that I'm using as a “guinea-pig” to learn more about android rooting, I'll test if ROM manager can offer this option.
thanks amfirbek92 .... for the moment, I'm not ready to root or flash my xperia S, I'm still a noob in android :silly: .... I don't want to break it !!

Red light (of death)

Hi Guys,
My xperia x10 doesn't boot anymore. It shows a red light when pushing te power button. Does it mean my device is broke or can I do something about it?
Thnx in advance.
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using xda app-developers app
Don't Worry
Red light means you need to charge it.The battery is fully discharged.
Plug it in and leave it for a few hours.
And then tell me the results.
If it works them press the THANKS button
1. Remove the battery.
2. Plug in the charger.
3. Put the battery in.
4. You will se the phone booting.
5. Leave it on charge.
Thnx for thinking with me guys, but I've been there, done that, but it doesn't help unfortunately.
Is there another way for me to try?
Ummm I don't knoe .if its completley dead or not:/ try using flashyool and flashing a 2.3.3 generic or 2.1:/

You guys need to charge the phone, charge with external charger, other X10 or try leaving it plugged in over night... one of those should bring you back to life... check putting the battery in some other phone and charging it, if it doesn't then battery is gone...

Xperia mini pro won't turn on :(

A couple days ago my phone just turned off by itself (i was capturing some photos (using FL camera) and the screen just faded ), i was very hot outside and the phone was heated. So i tought that the battery emptied because of heat or something so i plugged my phone to AC. When i unpluged the phone and tried to unlock it it turned off again just like the previous time... I attached it on the charger and charged it continuouslly for 12 hours, the next day unpluged it ( the battery indicator was showing 100 %) and unlocked it i just got to the menu when phone turned off again... The phone worked fine when it was pluged to a charger so i kept on charger... When i unplugged the phone (third time) i turned off again so i plugged it to te AC ( AGAIN!) but now when i try to turn it on i got red light indicator blinking...
TODAY i bought new battery and inserted it to phone and when i press the turn on b i just get the vibration but nothing else even when it's plugged to charger... The sailer told me that i should wait a couple hours ( just to keep phone that's turned off on charger), but i'm holding it turned off on a charger for about five hours...
What do you think the problem is?
TNX
The phone i'm talking about is xperia mini pro (sk17).

Xperia z ultra not working any more

Today I picked up my xzu and it turned out to be off.
I tried to turn it on by holding the power button, but nothing happen.
Also I pressed the red reset button that is next to the SIM slot, but nothing happen.
I connected it to my pc using Sony update serves, but the pc can't detect xzu (ad if xzu is not connected at all)
I plug it in the charger as it might out of juice, but the notification light didn't come on.
So any body got a idea of what happened to my xzu, before I send it to the serves.

try other charger and/or cable.
charge for ten minutes, don't touch. then press power button until device vibrates.
phone is shipped with some energy in the battery, lion battery don't loose energy. Probally device is broken, i assume voltage of battery is below 2.7V, when this happens the safety circuit prevents charging.
Return the device, waranty should cover
Just to let you guys know that I got new xz ultra
