It shows a red light, eh? Try this - take the phone and take its battery out. If the battery is undetachable do a hard reset - volup + power for up to five seconds. Then without pressing any other buttons it plug it to a charger. Now wait for the charging logo to come up. If it doesnt check your charger or the phones battery/usb slot. If it does show the logo , wait for it to fully charge till the led is green or something, and without detaching it from power try to go to recovery mode. If your phone doesnt have a custom recovery connect it to a pc and use sony updater service it will update it to StockJB
Try that, and see if it works. Also, if you failed, describe which step failed and what did the phone display...

i think problem is your battery....
just try with another battery...
or firstly charge your battery full...
then then try flashing...
OR else flash stock ftf using flashtool....

Well in that case, I believe the phone might have its firmware missing, including the boot.img. My best guess is going to a sony service center and having them instal stock rom if they can. Or you can try it yourself with SUS\flashtool but i doubt youll get it into flashmode.

[Q] Help Unbrick - Normal methods don't work

Tried to flash dual touch onto my x10i using flash tool and it said it was successful. When it rebooted, phone was stuck on SE animation. Tried SEUS which saved me last time, but the phone turns on halfway by itself so it wont work. Flashtool doesn't work as well!
Also, the phone keeps turning on by itself until i take the batteries out (Stuck on SE logo). Only when it seems to run out of battery does it start having the red light of death
Phone was on T.E.A.M rom
Help please, what can i do?

When its not successfull with sesus, means ur battery charging is low less than 40..
So use flashtool, get Generic version of 2.3.3 n flash it by taking battery n pressing back button...

Red long led when charging means it's charging, but the battery is still flat.
Leave it for around 2 hours you should see an orange/green led lit.
After having your handset ready for flashing, just pop flashtool up and start restoring.

Flashtool won't read my phone, it just says "Please flash your device in flash mode."
I know the battery was fully charged as well because i used my friends phone, (Also X10).
Still can't access XRecovery as well
Fixed the Phone
I was able to fix the phone. Turned off the phone and took out the SIM card and while the sim card was out, i was able to get the phone to connect to the laptop. Tried PC companion to repair phone but it failed, so i immediately went to Flashtool and flashed the generic rom and it worked YAY
Thanks everyone for all your help

Follow this procedure and it will work ... self tested!!
1) Force shut the phone by pressing power button and volume + till the phone vibrates once and then three times
2) Charge the phone for a couple of hours
3) Now try connecting the phone in flash mode ...
4) Green light should show and if it does for a couple of sec and goes off then you can flash but you got do the whole procedure again from 1 to 3 and connect asap when flashtool prompts you to connect device
Try it out cheers!!

elaborately explain your problem
Its really weird n unreasonable.... Try using a new battery, try using your old battery in another neo l... BTW long press volume down button while entering fastboot mode, if that doesn't work try holding the back button... Were you on stock before this happened or did you flash custom stuff?

It's a battery problem, I'm almost sure. For me, after leaving the phone connected all the night the battery started charging again (it was blinking a red led and not turning on).

And no feedback from the screen whatsoever ?? Without being able to enter fast boot mode... I'm afraid you really can't do anything except going to service center.... Is the phone vibrating atleast when you try turning it on ?

Sony Xperia P Hard Brick

Hello guys. This is my problem with Xperia P.I tried to update CWM from 6.0.1.2 to 6.0.3.0 in hope that I will get rid of that status error 7 when trying to install CM 11.Ok so what I did:i downloaded an update for CWM in zip format,i transferred the zip files to my xperia p internal storage then disconnected the phone from pc,then I booted the phone In CWM and from there I tried to update CWM by selectin install from zip sd card the zip archive. It said It was succesfull then asked for reboot and that was. After that the phone gone dead,no response from it even when I tried to power it on or to reset it by key combinations nothing worked.Even when I plugged it on charger nothing or in my pc usb.So when this happened my phone was rooted/unlocked bootloader and running latest JB build 6.1.2.A.100.So what I tried so far:i plugged it in wall charger for 6+ hours in hope I will get a life sign from it and nothing. Then I tried to disconnect its battery,i know its non removable but it has a cord attached that can be detached and I did it for about 5 mins. After that I reconnect the battery and plugged it in.Well I got a solid red led on it and I thought oh well it seems it worked but after exactly 15mins the red led goes out and nothing happens after it.At the moment I am writing this the phone already is dead by 24 hrs+.And yea I tried to connect it in flash mode for flashtool but not a sign at all.My pc doesn't detects it.So is there any hope left for my phone? If so please give more solutions.Oh and another thing it seems that after the red light goes off after 15 mins and I unplug it from charger and reconnect it the red led comes again and the process can be repeated. So should I try this way to charge it until it has enough power to do some responses?

if ur bootloader wasn't unlocked use SUS or sony pc suite to recover ur pc .... nd correct title , this isnt hard brick , i think u flashed a kernel from a different device ... if bootloader was unlocked then flash stock ftf using flashtool.. and flashtool works only in windows 7 and below ... making it work in windows 8 is tedious turn off ur phone and then hold volume down button then connect usb cable if green led lights ,that is flashmode

I am running Windows 7 and the bootloader is unlocked. Also I cant use flashtool or any software from pc because the phone it doesn't get detected. But if I plugged it on pc USB it does give a red light for exactly 14 mins then the red led goes off. Also any key pressing or key combinations doesn't help as I don't get any response from phone. So I am really sure its hard brick.Only sign from it is the red led that goes off after 14 mins.
So anymore ideas?Does my phone was hard resetted after I detached the battery for 5 mins and then reattached it?Because before this I didn't got the red led.And also should I try to recharge my phone by pluggin in it in charger wait 14 mins till red led gets off then repeat this process?

And how I am supposed to turn phone off when I get no sign from it when I am pressing volume or power keys. The only sign I get is the red led that after 14 mins goes off.Yea I flashed/updated a wrong CWM for my phone. And how that could screw my phone that bad I don't have any idea.
Just remove the battery chord from the battery (not the charger chord). This means, your phone is in turn off mode. Then reconnect it. Then try those flashmode combinations.
And for any further status 7 issues refer to my guide. Link is in my signature

its not hard brick ... in hard brick you don't even get to see the red led ..... this is a basic soft brick because he flashed incompatible kernel which failed bootloader test and hence he is getting this red led .... hard brick = phone becomes paperweight with no led or anything working ....... even charging which does in his case ....... he is just unable to turn on flashmode , (typical case with new users), even i also flashed wrong kernel on my xgo (u cannot even remove battery in that) , i just waited for red led to shut down then holding volume down and then plugging in usb i was able to get flashmode

I don't have anymore warranty left.So I think they will charge me for this.Maybe if I will let the phone more time in charger or with the bat cord detached/unplugged from charger/pc and after that trying again?

if you can try using those "butterfly chargers" , the ones which directly charge battery..... then try this approach cuz flashmode needs 30% battery minimum to run , 75% is recommended

[Q] Neo V restarted and not switching on

I have unlocked bootloader and custom rom of Super Jelly Bean until now. I am using custom rom since past 2 years , but today when my battery discharged I am unable to switch it back on . I tried connecting it at wall charger , and then after red LED blink for a minute it goes to Green LED , but phone is unable to switch on .
I can see device connected in flashmode on my flashtool . Did anyone face similar issue?

Your keys are seemed to be short. They are always pressed and hence phone is going into Flashmode, try carefully rebooting without touching the keys or try opening and cleaning it up.
Open Flashtool , if the phone gets connected (even in flashmode), try rebooting from Flashtool.

If that doesn't help then do flashing the stock rom . 587
After that reboot. Hope it helps
