I just install ported Google Camera on my AEX K6 Power and HDR+ is actually working! The picture quality Improved a lot. It work
both In rear camera and front camera (especially Selfie Flash Worked like a charm ) as well...
Camera2 API needs to be enabled for the app to work.

Bcoz camera 2 api is disabled by default in aokp u have to enable it manually...

Not tested but might work as there are many port for Android 7.0 also

Hi, so i found an old, fully working version of GCam for Mi Note 2 [scorpio]
It's like for Android M, but it will work on all Android Versions above 6.
I tested it on MIUI 9 Global, China, miui.am, xiaomi.eu/miuipolska, epicrom, LOS 15.1, PE 8.0 and it's working just fine.
I am not responsible for any issues that might happen in process of installing that mod.
How to Install it?
Step 1: Root your device [I recommend via Magisk flash, through TWRP]
Step 2: Enable Camera2Api, and there i have two options for you:
Method 1: An Magisk module that enables this feature, here is the thread and download *CLICK*
Method 2: By editing build.prop file, but how to do it?
1: Download any root file manager [I recommend MiX]
2: Find the prop.build file in folder "System"
3: Scroll to the last line, and add "persist.camera.HAL3.enabled=1", save and reboot.
Step 3: Install the APK file, which is under the tutorial!
DOWNLOADs
Google Camera App: *CLICK*
MiXplorer App: *CLICK*
Magisk: *CLICK*
BUGS AND ERRORs
1. Selfie Camera bug - Selfie Cam is upside down
FIX:
Search for msm8996_camera.xml file in /system/etc/camera
Then look for:
<Position>FRONT</Position>
<MountAngle>360</MountAngle>
And replace "360" with "270" [U need to do it twice}
Then Save and Reboot.
2. Slow Motion error
POSSIBLE FIX: Download an Magisk module, i don't know if it's working at all.
Download: *CLICK*
3. Stock Camera HDR crash
I can't find any FIX for that, but Camera2Api is not always crashing HDR stock [But in my case it doesn't crash, working just fine.]

when i fix selfie the app stop working. Restoring the xml file not solve the problem i have to reinstall the rom. Another way to fix front camera?

You do not have the problem in panorama mode?
Because me as soon as I do step 2:
While taking photos is faster but the panorama mode works very poorly.
Here is an example of a photo taken with panorama mode and "persist.camera.HAL3.enabled = 1":
Whereas if I make the same photo with the same appplication and if I put "persist.camera.HAL3.enabled = 0", here is the result:
I tested with twenty Apk Google Camera ....

To be honest I didn't try panorama on GCam.
I will try and give some feedback.
About the ROM and GCam:
AEX and the GCam from my post.
when taking a pic with Whatsapp the pic comes zoomed... Camera2Api really mess all.. I just don't take any pic with Whatsapp now in months.. only with the camera.. Camera2Api worths it.. but it sucks not being able to use all the phone features anyway =/

I installed both the Arnova 8g2 v8.1 and v8.2 and both fail to work apart from portrait mode
Does anyone know how to fix it?

Hello! Tried it with Lineageos 2018-10-03 and GoogleCamera-Pixel2Mod-Arnova8G2-V8.2 and with Lineageos 2018-11-19 with v7.9, v7.9.9 and v8.2.
With none Portrait is working with ZSL processing. If back and front are set to "ZSL processing" screen remains black. If it is "ZSL" the app crashes.
You have any hints how to fix it?

This version has a active night mode in Mi8 SE. However, there is jamming in the menu. However, the photos will do it normally. However, it requires holding the phone in the same position for about 10-13 seconds (not 4 seconds as normally in the night side mode).

I have a night mode (I have a loaded version of MGC_6.1.021_MI8_V1a) but generally immediately after switching on, the entire camera application cuts.
It does not matter if I'm in normal photo mode or in night-time nightsight mode. Yes, it is possible to take a picture (normal and in nightsight mode) but it takes a long time due to this jam in the GCam menu.
Why is this happening?

Hey bsg I figured what's crashing the app in portrait mode on the Xperia 5 ii of you can select 1x on the camera it then works fine if you toggle to the right of it I think it's x7 not sure it crashes

Update I forgot to post back I thought I found saw what was wrong doing the Mish mash of buttons I was not on portrait mode like I thought with front cam I was back in the normal mode on selfie cam
