I was installing different custom roms without problems and one day I decided to try Firefox Rom out, I did that and since that day I never got any signals from my network, I did a check on my IMEI it was blank(I have attached a screenshot)
I've tried using CM roms, original stock rom, even Gingerbread just incase :/
I've searched everywhere and found out about 2 softwares that might do the thing .. 1. SigmaKey 2. zZ Huawei Advanced tool
I did not make any backups before so im kinda doomed :/ I still have the IMEI written on the back on the phone though
Problems with SigmaKey:
It starts, says No Smart Card Reader Found.
It says Connect Dongle/Box
Problems with zZ Huawei Advanced tool:
It doesn't start, I've tried 3 different versions with every window's compatiblity set.

Go into the zip file, there will be a folder called modem or a file, extract it, make a flashable zip, tutorials can be found on the forum, flash, wipe cache, davlik, reboot into system.

Your IMEI is having problems because your modem files are either corrupt or a non compatible modem file has been flashed, Flashing the stock modem files will fix this problem.

If it was CWM compatible, then it wasn't the full stock firmware and not likely to flash the modem with it unless specifically stated by the developer of the rom.
So, flash the modem or full official firmware. If that doesn't work, then it's going to be even more of a headache, I'd imagine.

man, I cannot find modem files :/ and I need a little help making a flashable file :/ I'm sorry for being sucha noob
Fist off, I downloaded the official file from the huawei's server which is update.APP and not a zip that I can just open and extract the modem files(if there are any)
Secondly, the other roms that I already have CM, etc .. they are all of ZIP format and after I searched inside them I could not find any modem files man .. is there any information you can provide?

I'm not as familiar with Huawei, as say, Samsung, but I can't say I've seen modem files only posted for many if any Huawei phones I have looked into. Decompiling the update.app, and figuring out how to grab the modem files and getting them to install to the correct partition might be more of a hassle than it is worth. I think all you have to do is put the update.app in a folder called dload on an external SD card and then boot to Software Update mode to let it do it's thing.

I believe i have already done this in the past, but I'm not quite sure as with all the experimenting its hard to keep track of what experiments have you already done lol .. but alright, I'm gonna put the UPDATE.APP inside the dload folder on the sd card ..
just to confirm, software update mode is the recovery mode right? where there are options to format and factory reset and wipe partitions or update via sd card ??
Follow the link (post 2) I sent you earlier. It has the steps that were pulled from the manual on how to update.
If you have a custom recovery, it might be possible to just make an update zip with the build.prop. You can decompile the update.app with this tool I believe: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2315547 to get the unmodded build.prop.

As stated in previous post, cwm flashable rom's don't have the full rom in them, most of the time modem is not included, you need the modem files from stock.

Hi mate. You have a bit if reading to do before you flash a custom rom. Firstly you need to root your device then follow the instructions on the slim website. There is full guidance supplied in the sticky threads of this forum.

slim rom is mot likely a cwm zip file instead of tar file. you will need to be rooted with cwm manager to flash this file.

From 2.3.5
To 4.0.4
But things are different
I do not understand what it flsh device it through Odin?
In any case it's not about it its about fiels they say in one base and one file i9100
But in the downloads page its not two files have only one.
and its not a tar
you are talking about the latest slim bean rom. It has to be flashed through cwm afterwards you need download gapps and other related files as the rom does not come with these included.
Hi, i just bought my note 2 and ive already unlocked it and rooted it, i want to use a ROM that has 4.3 Jelly Bean like the N3BULA ROM, it says flash the MJ9 OTA Firmware using Odin. But on the forums there is a forum called "Once you're unlocked don't use odin to flash custom ROMs"
1. I should be able to flash the MJ9 using odin safely right because its not a custom rom right?
2. How do i flash the MJ9 update using odin?
3. Once i flash the MJ9 update can i still use non 4.3 ROM?
Question 1: You are correct.
Question 2: Download, then extract with 7zip. Put phone into download mode. Open Odin on computer and connect the phone. Place extracted md5 into the pda slot and hit start. It'll do it's thing and your phone will reboot and be done.
Question 3: Yes as long as don't take the OTA update from Samsung you will able load roms as usual
Once my phone is in download mode, odin doesn't recognize my phone. Any reason why ? I'm so frustrated

Check your drivers. If you've used casual, sometimes removing those drivers will help and by also installing updated Samsung drivers.
If you've done all of the above and it's still not recognized. I recommend trying a different USB cable.

Info that may help: I searched here in xda not on this device or I'd post a link, for how to install Odin and found that for each Samsung device there are some set of Odin versions that are compatible. I used Odin just now (took less than a minute) version 3.07 for my phone. Note that my drivers were already installed and working since I unlocked the bootloader a year ago. For others: it simply rebooted afterwards and all is well.

I don't think so. I have flashed a few cooked (current) ROMs with .254 rooted + CWM. What matters is having CWM to flash the ROM which comes in zip files...In fact, I had to downgrade to .254 in order to root + CWM to flash
so to correct my understanding
ROM in OP is pre-rooted but Kernel in OP is stock kernel without root?

Did you change anything in the ROM apart from rooting it? There are some files missing compared to my german .201 version. I don't know if there are more files than the bloatware ones, it was just a short look into it.

i thought this is the latest TWRP

for gt-7100 is correct this twrp-2.8.6.0-t03g.img.tar.
caution - twrp-2.8.6.0-t03gub.img.tar, twrp-2.8.6.0-t03gduoszn.img.tar, are other devices
size > 8MB, beyond the incompatibility and lost partition EFS, now recovery using stock rom .
Messed up with dev/block and efs !
Download stock rom for n7100 from samsung's official site.
Flash stock rom using odin.
This will reset your modem/radio (lost IMEI) and efs folder.
wow

I know the feeling...i avoid all the TWRP updates and keep only the version 2.7.2.1, with this one i have no problems at all. The version 2.8.5 worked well...but after my 3rd ou 4th flash/reflash ROM i lost the Mobile Network...and yes, im pretty sure that was caused by the recovery.
After fix the mobile network problems, i reversed to TWRP 2.7.2.1...flash, reflash and flas again the same ROM and its all working fine.
I never had any problems with CWM..but TWRP make F2FS easy to implement on nandroid, thats why i keep using it.
I Just get the Mobile Netwok back, after flashing oficial Sammy ROM with desktop Odin.

Sure, here it is.
Modem Only XXUFND3
I just googled for:
XXUFND3 Modem only download
Just make sure it's the same build as your firmware. This is for ND3
Good luck.

Just instal twrp .zip (through recovery) and you will have no trouble

Applied twrp-2.8.0.0-l900.img and modem.bin
To clarify my issue (same as OP): Applying twrp-2.8.6 seems to have ganked my modem. Everything else works. I tried MULTIPLE times to restore to factory, then apply twrp then restore from backup. Found out it is only happening AFTER I apply twrp 2.8.6. I finally found a copy of twrp 2.8.5 for the L900 but that has the same issue, so I applied 2.8.0 and the modem bin at the same time. This seems to have fixed the radio and i am back to functionality AND twrp is installed.
Now, I am not POSITIVE that it requires both actions (it might just be an issue with 2.8.5 and 2.8.6), but the solution was:
Code:
heimdall flash --RECOVERY twrp-2.8.0.0-l900.img --RADIO ./ALL_SPT_L900VPUCNE2_L900SPTCNE2_1561791_REV04_user_low_ship/modem.bin --no-reboot
If I have to do this again, I would apply twrp-2.8.0.0-l900.img first using your loader of choice (Odin3 or heimdall et al.) and see if that was all that was necessary or they both have to be applied (for some wildly cool magics that I am sure no one would be able to figure out).

Oh man, thanks so much for posting this. I ran into the same trouble (flashed latest twrp and lost network). Just ODINed the modem.bin back and my phone is back!
So, some of you might have noticed that I made some thread in General section, for Oreo TWRP Backup.
Some people do not like this idea, therefore I created a TWRP flash-able .zip for that.
I recommend a full wipe, or even a format data before flashing this.
Download the 3 zips, flash in order, boot, enjoy.
The files are stamped with a number, so you know what to flash in which order. Easy right ?
There is no root. I've heard SuperSU works flawlessly, but did not try as I am fine without it.

This requires TWRP; if you have TWRP then your knox is already tripped.
@Paradoxxx
Please add step-wise guide to avoid confusion for people (whether to flash using Odin or TWRP).
Thank you. It has been very beautiful. everything works.

He hasn't used the term Odin but TWRP, if you're dyslexic or simply haven't been taught how to read don't post.

I have flash the 3 files and all perfectly work on my G950F, before i was on AQH3 XEF (France). Samsung health work, secured folder too. I juste have a "problème", it's that we can't install update by OTA. If your phone with this files crash, it's maybe because you don't have wipe with twrp before.
