Ok my dude. Here is a update. Kernel is doing great. Running with AICP nightly. I left stock cpu settings and took a screen shot since I installed. Looks like default is doing very well. DT2w also working. Not to mention smooth fast and crisp animations. I would def recommend to anyone running cm/caf based roms. I am gonna stream bluetooth pandora and play with sound next.
Great job!!

It's great to see that you people liked my work.
Right now I'm working on adding swipe up and swipe down gestures.

Keep up the good work.
Good to see more kernels being developed. Thanks man

Question, OP says updated 2 days after release but download says r1 still. So guessing update was for sidepanel app not kernel? Or I missed something. Thanks

This is a really handy kernel! Nice work, sir. The only thing I have to complain about is that the L2R and R2L require slow swipes for them to register as a swipe, otherwise, they seem to register as taps. Otherwise, it definitely makes this device better for us lazy types :good:

Scimitar ROM is a ROM which is meant to be lightning fast, battery friendly, and have customization options. It most certainty doesn't disappoint. It is based on Rascalo's source with the main difference being that it's built from Linaro with few customization here and there.

Yes, you can use ART however I don't really recommend it because still not all apps are compatible and can cause some FC's for apps. I also didn't experience much of a performance difference with ART compared to Dalvic

I already use ART on Cataclysm and I can tell a difference. None of the apps I use are incompatible with ART. Will the FC's happen if I haven't had any FC's before? Also, what does this ROM include? Does it have the ROM + Gapps + SU + Busybox? Because the zip file seems insanely huge for just a ROM....

ThinkingBridge project consists of people (around the world now) that want to learn how to do things related to the Android Open Source Project. It's not just a fork that has a few features added in and some themes changed, or a project that just wants to see how many devices can be ported. We've all learned something in the process of porting devices, and creating features, and continue to do so. With contributions from other forks like CyanogenMod and CodeAurora we are able to learn from them and continue even with older devices.
Also, all of the sources can be publicly viewed through Github.

OP you can add in the title or first post about the ROM BASE- AOSP/CM ? so that you wont get post saying which kernel to try.

Man this status bar colors API are nice if we can see it more often in other ROMs .. too bad it's exclusive ..
Flashed this an hour ago and i am loving chameleon engine ! Amazing work guys !
It lacks a litlle bit in customization but hopefully it will come in next versions, its stable and smooth and i would recommend it to anyone !

I think you should put in the OP the list of feaures that the rom has, but beside from that I'll try it just for the chameleon engine, which looks so cool from the screenshots (I can't see the video )

Nice another rom gonna test it later.
Where did you get that name actually:laugh: cause thats also the name of a gta5 club
But go on with the work:victory:
Goodluck:highfive:
Btw: People if you want to google this rom then type vanilla unicorn rom.
So don't type vanilla unicorn only cause then you get the club from gta5 which maybe have some inappropriate images.
Seems great! I will test it right now!
About one hour with the rom and i feel it very solid, veryyyyyyyyy fast and stable! Two that i did'nt like: Doesnt have a 2G/3G toggle and the vibration of navigation bar could be weaker! the haptic feedback its a too strong in these keys! Congratulations man! great rom! If You could change the haptic feedback, I will definetly stay in your because it is the best that i have tested!
Homescreen settings isn't working like when you long press, there is a settings button but it doesn't so anything we pressed. And yeah also how do you enable halo. Otherwise perfect ROM, in my top 3 ROMs now
Edit: also it might be that I'm just retarded or something but their doesn't seem to be am option for expanded volume settings

FAQ
What type of kernel does this use?
AOSP kernels. I, personally, use ElementalX.
Where's my root access?
Look up a little bit, above the FAQ section.
Where is ART?
It seems that this is a hybrid 4.3-4.4 build of android, mainly KitKat, but features such as ART and Immersive have yet to be implemented.
What about Immersive mode?
Read the question directly above this one. Immersive is partially present, but seems to be statusbar-only.
OK will try does this have a lot of settings for themes etc...

Are you sure you can use ElementalX with this? I've been running it since the first beta was released, but every time I try to flash a custom kernel it fails to boot at all. Also you should note that if you flash GAPPS the weekly automatic OTAs will fail due to the way MIUI implement weekly patches - checks for system apps and if it finds anything it is not expecting then it fails.

You can use ElementalX as long as you use the AOSP version. As for the GApps issue, I think I mentioned something about that in the OP. I'd have to double-check.
EDIT: I didn't mention that issue specifically, but I did mention to check that thread for details with root and GApps.

Nice, but XDA and GPL require a link to kernel source included with the ROM. AOSP really means .... nothing as it's only a generic term.

This is actually v6, based on Android 4.4.2 KitKat.

There is no v6.. Search at en.miui.com and you would not find it.. This is just v5 based on kitkat.. Still a nice looking rom though!

[ROM][4.4.4] AOSP Enhanced [Hammerhead]

AOSPE
Hello everybody. I have finally decided to release my work after contemplating whether or not to do so. This is a personal ROM that I made because I wanted to find a ROM that is battery friendly and only have the features I personally use. This ROM is based off of Omni but has some features from other ROMs. I will update this as often as I can, usually when I add more features or make some changes.
Features:
Android 4.4.4
Art runtime enabled
Lockscreen Notifications
More Volume Steps
Active Display
Customizable Nav Bar
Holo White Settings
Wakelock Blocker
App Ops
Floating Windows
Quiet Hours
Heads up

Very nice so far. Lots of tweaks and settings. Took a while for the first boot, got a little nervous. Very nice so far!

Check out the second screenshot. It allows you to open a windows "floating" on top of another one. In the screenshot, I have Google Music on top of Chrome. And yes it has lockscreen widgets.
Looks great, before I flash, can anyone confirm whether theme engine is present? Tnx

Did someone say theme engine?
#MaybeALeak
Do you guys want a build now with it? Or until I invert the icons? At this moment, there is a bug under "Wallpaper" that causes settings to crash. I'm going to look into it soon but it's going to be a busy week for me (next 2 weeks are finals) so I'm not sure when I'll have them done. Goal is by next weekend.
