4.1.2 to 4.3 Tips and Guide - AT&T HTC One (M7)

Hi all, hoping to get some info regarding manual update. I am new to Android and flashing stuff on mobiles. Been checking out the various forums and havent had any luck finding a solid step guide.
So far what I have gathered information is my HTC is S-on (bootloader says Locked)
Root checker says This device does not have proper root access :/
Phone Info:
I have android 4.1.2 on my phone, software number is 1.26.502.12
Kernel Version: 3.4.10-g0a0f902

Everyone points out to this HTC news and download link but where is DOWNLOAD button it is also showing 4.4 Kitkat which I would avoid for now as my goal is to first get 4.3. Reason for that is I have read phone getting brick on 4.4 especially the AT&T ones.
Also if someone verify with the information above if this model has been modified before. ( I got a box packed AT&T sim unlocked, however the place where I am you dont get manufacturer warranty -_- as these sets come from Dubai to India and Pakistan)

[Q] Un-Root ROGERS Evo 3D GSM

Hi All,
Hope some one can help me.
I rooted my HTC EVO 3D GSM on ROGERS about 6 months ago,
Problem is, I can't install updates and the phone is acting up very
weird.
I want to Un-Root my phone and get it back to stock or original the
way it came from Rogers, but I can't seem to find the right info on
here, some of it is very very technical, and I'm not that savvy.
Can anyone help me with the most simplest step by step way to un-root my phone.
By the way, my phone is still locked to ROGERS.
Thanking everyone in advance for your help.
THIS IS ALL THE INFO ON MY PHONE:
Model Number: HTC EVO 3D X515A

hi, Also with Rogers HTC evo 3d rooted
I have the same problem. Just wondering if you found a way to unroot this phone and update. Please let me know at [email protected]. Much appreciated. Thanks
It's not hard to unroot, it's just a matter of flashing the original RUU for the phone.
But, why would you unroot it? Just install a custom ROM on the phone.

[Q] Confused as hell regarding software update

I recently bouch a HTC EVO 3D, and would like to update it to the latest available software.
After searching the web and numerous forums about how to update, all it managed to do is to got me confused as hell.
I compared my phones software number with the software number on HTC site, and according to them i should be able to update it, because the current software number is 2.17.651.5 and my phone has 1.20.401.8.
I followed the HTC instructions on update (www dot htc.com/us/support/evo3d-sprint/downloads/) and the first issue i have noticed is i do not have System Updates menu inside the settings on my phone, nore elsewhere.
But i have a Software updates menu inside the About phone menu.
If i run this, it says "There are no updates available for your phone"
Clearly there is something wrong! Or maybe i am just missing something, but what ?
Do i have this issue because it is an unbranded phone ?
I would really appreciate any useful tips and our thoughts regarding this, and please do not flame, i have done my search, and it led me nowhere
Details about my phone are as follows:
It is an unbranded GSM phone (there is no Sprint or At&t or any other carrier icon to the right of the htc icon on the front, and it works with all sorts of sim cards from different carriers - currently mine is Orange -Romania)
Model number: HTC EVO 3D X515m

[Q] HELP ME!: SIM card don't accepted by phone

Hi guys,
I really hope that one of you can help me with my problem!
First I posted this thread in another forum (T-Mobile, Wind, Mobilicity, Videotron Samsung Galaxy S III)
but they proposed me to place it here, because it is a international model. I9300 from Tmobile.
What my problem is:
Last summer a guy abroad rooted my Galaxy S3 (Tmobile) so I could use my phone abroad.
Unfortunately I didn't know that, cause my knowledge about devices isn't that good.
I think that he changed my IMEI number and that this is the problem with my simcard which isn't accepted by my phone.
Two days ago my phone started to do weird things like starting it self and locking it self.
So yesterday night I decided to unroot my phone, I thougt this could be a reason of it.
I unrooted it by a video at youtube and it worked. Only like I have said my sim card dont work.
The only number I can call is the emergency number and I don't think that will help --'
Please help me, I am really desperate!
(my english isn't so good, I hoop that I am clear enough)
Greets!
a few information maybe it will help:
Model number: GT-I9300
Android version: 4.1.2
Baseband- version: I9300BOLK3
Kernel version: 3.0.31-836582
[email protected] #1
SMP PREEMPT Tue Jan 15 14:17:21 KST

Buildnumber: JZ054K.I9300XXEMA2
ERI version: not available
IMEI: 004999010640000
IMEISV: 01
Device status: normal
CSC: I9300TNLMA2

Your unrooting had changed the imei to a default, you don't say what you did to unroot but you probably flashed a v1 efs rom instead of v2.
Go read sticky threads, efs 'know this stuff'.

[Q] How to identify stock bootloader and rom version

I have just received my TF700T back from RMA in Sydney. Problem was failed HDMI port and unusable slowness. Returned to me as warranty ended so I unlocked it. Now I want to install custom recovery and Chromi-X and later (when stable) CM11. However I'm not sure what ROM version and bootloader (both supposedly stock) that I have, whether I need to download and install the latest official ROM first, but the naming used in my tablet info doesn't seem to match any of the download descriptions on the asus website. I have rooted and changed ROM on phone before but thats all, so not very experienced.
From settings /about it says the following:
Android version: 4.2.1
Kernel Version: 3.1.10-g03bdcb1 [email protected] #1 Fri Mar 29 17:04:32 CST 2013
Build Number: JOP40D.WW-epad-10.6.1.14.4-20130329
Kernel Version:
3.1.10-g03bdcb1
[email protected] #1
Fri Mar 29 17:04:32 CST 2013
Build Number:
JOP40D.WW-epad-10.6.1.14.4-20130329
On the boot screen with the three icons it says: Key driver not found...booting OS. Then: Android cardhu-user bootloader <1.00e> released by "ww-epad-10.6.1.14.4-20130329 A03

First of all you are in the wrong forum mate. This is the prime section.
You are on the 4.2.1 bootloader build version 10.6.1.14.4.
It is not the newest version so you can upgrade it to the newest version first if you like.
Also I hear that the maker of Cromi puts in loads of tweaks that either do nothing or he blatantly steals from me and calls his on. Hi Sbdags xxx

Rooting Samsung S5 Duos (SM-G900FD)

I have Samsung (SM-G900FD) with Lolipop(5.0) and I want to root it without tripping the knox. I have been searching the internet for past couple of days and I have found a way. It involves, among other steps, downloading and installing the "towelroot" apk, but here is the problem. Towelroot method does not work with Lolipop and I have to downgrade the software to Kitkat(4.4.2), the software version my phone came with.
Once again I have searched thoroughly to find a way to downgrade to Kitkat and I came to the understanding that I need to download official KitKat firmware from sammobile and install it manually, but I don't know which firmware to download from the list that appears against my phone's model.
I have following questions:
1. How will I know which firmware to download from the list.
2. Once I have downgraded and rooted my phone, can I upgrade to android 5.0
Here is my device info,
Model Number: SM-G900FD
Android Version: 5.0
Baseband version: G900FDXXU1BOE1,G900FDXXU1BOE1
Kernel Version: 3.4.0-4516970, [email protected] #1, Tue May 12 13:27:06 KST 2015
Build Number: LRX21T.G900FDXXU1BOE2
SE for Android status: Enforcing, SEPF_SM-G900FD_5.0_0027
United Arab Emirates: TRA ID : 0016333/08, TA : 00000000/00
Anyone?
have you found already..?
