[R] Sweep2Wake App ? - HTC Desire X

I will keep looking but, is someone know is there any app for sweep2wake ? Im Currently on CM so I cant use the kernel with s2w.

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=pt.fjss.s2w
This app enables sweep2wake but requires a supported kernel.

What CM are you using?

This is sadly out of the scope of an app. Apps are not allowed the keep the touchscreen active without turning on the screen(the default kernel shuts down the entire panel together), that's why you'll always find S2W is a kernel feature, not an app. It seems that everyone wants this for CM though, I'll fetch the sources and see what I can do, though afaik, fozzy should already be porting it.

Some developers prefer that questions remain separate from their main development thread to help keep things organized. Thanks for understanding and for helping to keep XDA neat and tidy!
Hi guys. Please tell me this is real do auto-update kernel like Franco? That would be just super.
hi
g2 docomo flash ok?
Can someone give me an explanation of what are the differences among Highest Level Hook, LCD Hooks and Kernel Mode of Power Suspend Mode? I've searched a lot on Google but without results. Thank you.
I've searched in this thread but I have a question pertaining synapse. Since @ak removed OC from his latest kernel update and I have a profile saved that I would like to use but has the old version (with OC tweaked). I was wondering instead of possibly going back to an older version of the kernel and writing down all the values within the profile excluding OC, if there was a possible way to extract or be able to read the .tgz file and see certain tweaks (such as voltages and other options) and try to delete the OC option or anything. I will take any suggestions or advice and Thank you

I'm not sure if @apb_axel reads this Q&A bot thread
Anyways Synapse reads almost all features that your current kernel provides but it remains a tool to manage features. Nothing is created by Synapse. It means that if you don't see any wake features it means that your current kernel doesn't have them. Period.

apb_axel have recently added several new devices. You can post a request in the development thread even if adding new devices needs a lot of work AFAIK.

Nope. This is not the aim of Synapse.

Well to be able to use dt2w/t2w you need a custom kernel which supports these features. Adding them to a kernel requires dev knowledges. I'd suggest you to search for a compatible custom kernel.

Yes, it's recommended since at boot UKM runs some scripts on init.

I believe it is only a global option.
Any idea why I am getting Synapse boot canceled message, when I updated from Code Blue kernel r718 to r755 and then I re-flashed UKM3.6.1 (Nexus 5) ?
P.S. it is fixed now after rebooting using the normal Power Off menu.
Thank you very much. It works on my OPO with AK kernel

[Q] Need Kernel for Xperia Z Ultra with wiimote support

Hi,
Just saw a commit at CM..cant seem to post a link, which adds Wiimote support natively in cm, but needs a kernel compiled with CONFIG_HIDRAW=y and CONFIG_HID_WIIMOTE=y.
URL review . cyanogenmod . org / # / c / 63293 /
Strictly speaking the above commit is for cm11, but i assume it would also work for cm12..
Since I don't have the required hardware available atm to build it myself and don't have the required number of posts yet to ask in the kernel thread itself I'm asking here:
Could anyone help please?

[KERNEL][MI-STOCK][GPL] Need testers

Hi,
I would like to request some testers who are currently running stock MIUI to test the stock kernel. Feel free to comment below.

- Download zip
- Flash kernel
- reboot
- cross your fingers
What to check:
- WLAN -> see if it works

Thanks to you, and all your hard work. I would also like to mention that the miband unlocking worked a lot better with your kernel than the MIUI stock one. Thanks again.
Wow. Thanks GNOME... Good to kernel for miui
Sent from my MI 3W using Tapatalk
Audahudi also build stock miui kernel. This also has same bugs, no WiFi, cit etc menu take while to open.
One bug I have doubt of is, whether all 4 cores work simultaneously. In my testing I saw most time 2 work, sometimes 3. Benchmarks also give scores like that. Also CPU performance control pro, which can set individual frequency of all cores could make 2 cores work together.
Any app you know which can monitor every core usage over period of time?
The 2nd bug is what I'm curious off, as I don't have WiFi lol.
Plus these miui kernel can be used in some custom Chinese KitKat ROMs. Iuni is 1 example, fiui I havent tested.

Thanks for your hard work. But did you read this? https://github.com/MiCode/Xiaomi_Kernel_OpenSource/wiki/How-To-Use
I tried to compile kernel according to this instructions. Compilation through without problems. But kernel freeze while booting. I am not kernel developer, so don't have experience, how to debug it. If you find time, please can you try it?
Thanks

@Pepe.II you should see the issues section, I'm always there.

@Gnome
on what miui we should try stable or developer ?
Stable just to be safe.
Edit: @alexret, can you try the instructions on that misleading turorial but use my kernel source? Branch is mi-stable. I have a feeling it'll work
@Gnome anything with the bug I have doubt of?
@Gnome I tried to flash your kernel STX-MI-PRIMA-TEST-2015-06-24 from first post attachment.
Its only kernel, no modules included. This has a effect, that no modules are loaded while booting. When i try load module manually, it crashes with this message:
[email protected]:/ # insmod /system/lib/modules/wlan.ko
insmod: init_module '/system/lib/modules/wlan.ko' failed (Exec format error)
Please, can you compile kernel with modules? Thanks
@Me_Ashish_ its MIUIs kernel source, its incomplete it needs a lot of patches. And yes this kernel is just stock MIUI I added nothing to it just the opensource wlan from qualcomm w/c they claim works.
@Pepe.II thats the idea, the kernel should have it by default already, no need for the modules to be included in the package. The Modules are being built with the zImage-dtb itself, adding those modules to rhe zip package is very wrong. Adding it to the kernel package for CM Bases ROMs are just a work around, and I tell you know it wont work on stock MIUI ROM, unless you build MIUI from source and use my kernel source to be built with it.

As far as I understand it, you did not compile drivers as modules but compile them as part of the kernel?. Ok. But why, when I look in to kmesg log (/proc/kmesg), I find not a single mention about the WLAN. That's weird. Are you sure, that WLAN part is compiled correctly?
@Pepe.II if Im building kernels wrong, by all means please guide me on how to build kernels correctly.
Well if I'm getting this kind of critisczm might as well stop this. Anyways thanks for all that tested, I'm dropping this.

Sorry, I only asking, because I do not understand how you work with drivers. Prima WLAN you set as a module but I do not see any module in a flashable zip. You assume that your kernel will use modules from stock MIUI kernel?
I do not criticize, just asking. if this sounds like criticism, so it is due to my poor English and i am sorry.

About double click the screen to wake up the device.

Can I double click the screen to wake up the device through flash others ROMS ?
If I can , please tell me how to do it. Thanks!
This is called DT2W that is double tap to wake
This is mainly a kernel based feature and it can be integrated in a custom kernel for a device
& DT2W is battery consuming feature as it keeps touchscreen ON always which consumes battery
& I don't think any developer is making any custom kernel for this device
So it's not possible to integrate it in that kernel
& if a ROM supports DT2W then ROMs kernel would support DT2W then it would be easy to port that kernel for other ROMs also
But my opinion is DT2W consumes more battery & some times freezes screen so I will not go for it

No , it just need a little Battery. only a little . such as DT2W for mi4 or Nexus .
Do you know how to add codes into kernel to support DT2W ? I want to try it.
(I found that F2 's kernel has "mtk_battery"
F1(this Chinese device) doesn't support DT2W , but F2(F1 's plus) support it )

No worries about late reply,
Ya (I think - not sure though) that's right that TWRP supports DT2W
But it's quite complex for knowing which method TWRP is using from its source (noob at this kind of stuff).
You can have dt2w (Double Tap to Wake) if your phone have android 6.0+ since this feature is starting supported only above 6.0 roms!!!

There is no patch for that or a flashable zip, but there are some apps that might help with it like this one or this one, but if you find any fast battery drain, then uninstall them
Actually I dnt want to use any app rather I want it to be inbuilt.....It would have been good if I get some source code so developer could integrate it into LOS14.1

It won't be integrated in LOS source because it's always features-clean, but if there is a based rom like RR or AICP for your device, then you can ask the developers to integrate this feature in their roms.
Good luck

Building a custom kernel requires a very high linux and android development knowledge, but you can look in the Original development thread or the development thread of the Desire 816, you may find custom kernels there that supports this feature...i once needed that function on my s2 as well, but since it requires some specific screens to prevent battery drain, i couldn't have it, so after all, maybe it's a limitation of your phone
