Does anyone have a tutorial for, or can explain quickly, how to make a launcher using zooper or everything widget? The reason is that I'd like to save my own setup as a module or something so that I can easily import my own launcher page when switching themes.
Cheers!

Hi,
We think you may be getting confused with 'launcher' and 'widget'. A launcher is an app, such as Themer (which is what this thread is all about), and consists of changing your entire homescreen and app drawer settings. You can't make a launcher a module. If you are referring to a Zooper Widget template, that makes more sense. Watch this video for more info: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lokjPJ_m7MU&list=PLPXmDjRU7Q9fJk45AQaLMrcmP77ksz68V&index=2

What are you looking for to make it "good"? Facebook has a good Facebook app.
So far as widgets, the Launcher Pro Premium version has great widgets for both Twitter and Facebook.
I think the OP is looking for an facebook widget.
My vote for the Launcher Pro widget.
Colorize widget is pretty good. It's a little more customizable than Launcher Pro, but I prefer LP the best.

Try the launcher pro widget thats what I use and an app called flow just for using facebook. I also like facebook apps widget so its all personal preference. I'd try flow's app in the market I personally like using it more than the facebook app
thanks guys, combination of launcherpro and flow will work for me wonder why flow doesnt have a widget but the LP widgets are really nice!

Hey guys is there any way to disable the perspective(scrolling) wallpaper on Android? I have an evo
running mik g rom. Thanks for the help in advance!
Swyped from mah evo!
If you mean how the wallpaper scrolls with home screens, then I know you can use Nemus launcher and that's an option in the settings.

Nothing i've ever heard of. There's no good reason not to install another Launcher that has this option though. Launcher Pro or ADW are probably the favourite choices.

Try the OGQ background app, with it you can choose scrolling/nonscrolling etc...
It's awesome.
You can find it in the market, backgrounds by OGQ

Yes... This app has an option to do that...
Did you not read my post.
You can use this so to set wallpapers you already have too by going into gallery, closing set as, and them picking this app out of the list.
Wallpapyrus gives the options to have iPhone like wallpaper (ie no scrolling)

HI does anyone know how I can change the app drawer in lp?
I searched but I wasn't successful.
Maybe is there an app that contains several different drawers so I can assign that app on launcher pro?
Please reply.
Thanks in advance
I'm no expert, but you can use alt drawer, and assign the shortcut in LP
There are several apps (for free!) on the market and elsewhere that you can use as alternative app drawers, which you can download and set as the shortcut where the LP app drawer shortcut would be normally. I was using LP+ for a while with the app drawer shortcut set to open my stock app drawer (Motoblur on a Droid2 Global) and it worked just fine.
It would really be great if LP had an option to customize the drawer aside from size, though... GO Launcher wins that category, in my opinion.

Can you name me some good apps please.
And do you know how I can get the xperia style app drawer, where all the apps are on a transparent glass and you just swipe horizontally to move onto another page. It would be great if I can do this.

If that is what you want you can use a theme, there must be a glass theme i guess. In LP you can already swype in the app drawer from one page to the next one, or is that in Go Launcher? (I dont use LP since a while ago and cannot remember correctly) In Go Launcher you can choose to swype horizontally or vertically, also you can apply any of the lots of themes and there is a glass one
If this does not satisfy you you can use Altdrawer as somebody said above, here is the link
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1154299&highlight=altdrawer
AltDrawer is definitely a good one, and I'm sure there are others. GO Launcher Ex is a really good option too. I'm using it right now and there's tons of support for themes and customization, including the app drawer.
I don't link Alt Drawer since it takes long to start up and most importantly it does not even look like the xperia style app drawer.
btw does anyone know of any good glass themes for lp?
I use "all apps organizer" with launcher pro and it works perfectly

Just go into the market and search for launcher pro themes there you can see how they look like.
But I'm sure the themes only edit the widgets not the app drawer, that's from what I know

The themes also replace the app icons for examle the ios theme changes all the icons to ios style so also the icons in the app drawer will be changed.
Why dont you just try? If you dont like it you can just remove it

But the only reason I want a theme, is to change the app drawer.

Guys its ok I decided not to use the app drawer but instead put all app shortcuts in the homescreen (I got this idea when I tried the MIUI launcher).
However does anyone know how I can add the app drawer shortcut in the desktop not the dock so that I can open the app drawer and create a shortcut for newly installed apps.
I have research this... and no,you cannot add app drawer shortcut on homescreen. Sorry.
Leave a thanks if I helped...

Can anybody tell me whether it is possible to start the clock app from the Accuweather widget instead of the weather app? Or is there an app or a hack to customize the app of choosing for a widget?
I haven't seen a mod for it, plenty of weather clocks in the Play Store allow this though. Try one of those.
that's sucks dude, I have no use for any of the Samsung widgets at all....why did they even make Touchwiz....

If we're talking about launchers and the notification bubbles on the sms and email icons - apex and nova both support that (only pro versions I believe)...anyways getting a bit OT

I could not get anything to work with the stock email program so TW is fine for me. It is easier to change the weather widget than the whole launcher and subsystem.
This is going to seem like a weird one, but I can't find the stock widget that's used for clock and weather when I use Nova launcher. Anyone have the file or know where to find it? Thanks.

I have two clock widgets when I look at adding a widget to nova, I don't know if one of mine was added by an app or if they are both default nova. If you can tell me where to pull a file from I'd be happy to help. Otherwise I'm not totally sure what you can do. I am still fairly new to this launcher.
Good luck, let me know what I can do to help.
I had the same problem... Ended up just getting Timely and using their widget
Sent from my LG-V500 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
This is an ever-returning problem for all 3rd party Launchers. TouchWiz, Sense and whatever LG is calling their UI all have widgets that are only compatible with their respective launchers. Install all you want, they still wont show up outside of the stock LG Launcher. You can usually find some that look much the same and some times a genious comes along and ports the widgets. You could try heading over to the G2 forums, I suspect there's more life over there, maybe their "Themes and Apps" forum has a ported edition. Who knows.

I did the same thing - use the Timely widget. With Nova I could overlap it with the Yahoo weather widget so that they look like one thing.
My other virtually-the-same-thing clock widget choice is Chronus

I recently tried out "beautiful widgets" which allows clock and weather widgets and I really like it.
