That's the problem is downloaded 3 times now. Each time once download completes nothing. Happens just goes back to asking me to download it again. No install pop up., no error messages.

If that was an option I would have done so already. But. My laptop was stolen about a month back and I have very few reasons to replace it.
I'm. Looking for a solution to the download loop ota.

yh thanks..i just flashed after the 3rd try and it worked thx dude
Thankyou to solidsnake81 for pointing this out!!
No need to unlock Bootloader
If you revert to .58 or earlier and root, then update via update centre app in your phone the root remains on the phone whilst you are updated to .62 so the result is a rooted .62 firmware
why not post in the original thread instead of making a new one? no offence but there are 1000's of rooting. 62 threads emerging these days.
thought it would of made it easier for people to see, rather than they going through loads of pages to find it out. ive tried several methods but this seems to be the only one that works .... my appologies

Is this tested to work? I mean, superuser app can remain on the phone but will not actually work for some instances. Please post some confirmation.

It works.I've used this method several times.
Does this mean your root is actually working after updating to .62 via the Update Center App?
Sorry to sound unconvinced. I just see most posts to have unlocked bootloader to root this new firmware.
UPDATE:
Did not work for me. My phone reboots on the 2nd to the last dot indicator and then says could not install the new firmware after it booted up.

Thats because you have modify your system. If you root a fresh installed firmware and make no modifications to it, then root will work after update OTA to .62
Sprinter
Is that so. Will try again.
is flashing the firmware is the only way to go back to .58 or is there any other small process

Thank you very much for capturing this one. I've posted this to the Portal
This update is quite interesting actually
http://paste.omnirom.org/view/38942c5a is the updater-script.
The only "main" check here is that you're not downgrading the version of the firmware, via a ro.build.date.utc, and that the device being flashed is a C6806.
Asides from that, it's a regular full install to the device.
The only "patch" file is recovery-from-boot.p, which will only update the recovery if it needs done. This seems to be designed to prevent a downgrade of recovery (you can't downgrade it if the zip always tries a binary patch on it).

Can this be manually flashed on a 6806?
Hmm, Says this is a Togari. Guess I need to edit something.
Do not flash this as is. Hard bricked my c6806, lol. Oh well. I needed to send it in anyways. It has a dead pixel...
Phone wont even turn on......usb picks it up as a unidentified device. Any suggestions? lol. Not a big deal if i broke it. Was goind to send it in next week anyways.

Are you serious? Have you tried to press and hold VOL UP when you plug it into the computer? The LED should be blue (Fastboot) and if you press and hold VOL DOWN while you plug it in, it's in Flashmode (no LED). See if Flashtool picks it up. If not, well.. it's dead.
