Hello people, so my brother gave me today his galaxy s3 to update it. He had 4.0.4 i update it to the last version i know the 4.3 'ZTA-I9300UBUGNB1-20140321150530' 'I9300UBUGNB1_I9300ZTAUGNA2_I9300UBUGMK1_HOME.tar' It from the mobile carrier Claro brazil.
Well i didnt noticed anything since because the sim card wasnt inserted. And today when i inserted it it the phone was locked.I did the same thing to my s3 and it didnt lock. I tried using the galasy s unlock apk but it didnt work same with voodoo and other apps. Imei shows normal.
I tried with the *#197328640# and i get menu not exist current command is 186.
So should i try with sammobile. What could have gone wrong??
P.D i downgraded to 4.1.2 I9300XXEMG4_I9300PHEEMG2_PHE <--- Unbranded And still the same error

You cannot unlock 4.3 because of efs v2 problem implemented by Samsung you would need to have a copy of your efs v1 from 4.0.4 or 4.1.2 and flashback to 4.0.4 or 4.1.2 then restore that efs then unlock with GalaxySim unlock or similar software..
i always do the efs backup first but this time. i just dont know why i didnt backup the efs when i was on 4.0.4 i made it when i upgraded to 4.3. I guess i'll just try with the z3x box

Hello, i have my galaxy s3 i bought it in my country Panama came factory unlocked i think have to be the international version i have it rooted with sotmax rom all works perfect but i just want to know if theres any way to come back to factory stock my galaxy s3 just for testing i never did that before but i want to i saw some guides but they shows like i need to download my stock firmware but how i can know that i cant remember which one i had before i rooted my phone.

Rooting your phone doesn't change your firmware.. You're still on the stock firmware unless you flashed a new rom. Goto settings>about device> and see your build.. Then goto Sammobile and downlaod the rom that is listed for Panama and matches your carrier or build whichever. Download it and flash it rom via Odin and you'll be unrooted.
though i don't see any point in unrooting. Rooted is always better.
Hi, I upgrade my phone 2.3.4 to 4.1.2 and I have some problems....

- I dont do efs backup

If i downgrade to 4.0.4 work only in 3G at movistar but cant to phone anythin

go back to the original movistar ROM.
If that doesn't work, service center or try to fool the movistar people saying " I dunno, it rebooted it self and all of a sudden I got no network available".

Upgraded to Android 4.3 and everything was OK.
Today downgrade to 4.1.2 and no network, emergency call only
All firmwares was from sammobile.
Sim card is ok, tryed in another phone.
Android 4.3 was Ireland Vodafone version, 4.1.2 was for Orange Romania (tryed 3/4 versions and same problem, no network)
My phone firmware was I9300MBDORO, now i can't find this firmware
What can I do to have back 4.1.2

Now I put 4.3 back and I have no problem with network and the IMEI is the original one.
It's possible to find this version? I9300MBDORO
I didn't use custom rom, only official stuff.
I need 4.1.2 back because if something happend with phone i have warranty and i think i can't take the pone to service with another firmware.

In all honesty, I've become discouraged and would be happy to just get back to stock rom... at least the network was working. lol

So I went over to http://samsung-updates.com/device/?id=GT-I9300 and found that TGY (Hong Kong) has 3 firmwares: I9300ZSUBNB1- 4.3- 26.02.2014 and I9300ZSEMK3- 4.1.2- 06.11.2013 and I9300ZSEMC1- 4.1.2- 11.03.2013
Question: Which one do I use? and what would be the steps in fixing this problem?

Maybe the ROM you used is not Stable 100% that's why u faced that problem. So the solution is to back to your stock ROM with the official baseband that it was installed before you upgrade. in my opinion if you flashed a stock ROM with the wrong baseband can make your device unsupportable to the network (even you flashed many ROMs the problem will still exists)

Don't panic bro ,international S3 had this problem on updating manually , not for custom roms only for stock 4.3
The only solution is z3x box , it can be only done using that box :good:
You have to only repair network from it
