Anyone having GPS issues with fre3 Rom?
My GPS seems to be out of whack... It jumps around all over the place. Turn by turn navigation works but location specific tasks in tasker do not.
Also the compass doesn't seem to work.
Anyone know of a way to fix?

Cleared GPS data and still does not work. Same results. I can get the compass to work by rotating the phone around a couple of times but it stops working after a while.

Hey were you able to figure out how to get your GPS fixed? I am currently having the same issues you were having before.
No. I did not. I now use cm11 and I have the same issue.
Hell I can't even get GPS or compass to work at all. GPS won't lock and compass just sits on one spot. I'm starting to get aggravated because this only happens with aosp ROMs, stock tw works just fine. I can't stand the stock tw, I want aosp so badly but need gps for work.
Works just fine for me on fre3. Instant lock.

I have noticed that the google song detect widget isn't present in this phone... could possibly be the reason why.

I noticed that too & sideloaded the one from 4.1. but no dice. I may need to install it as a system app. I report results..

Although white settings works for me (and looks awesome), it slows down my phone on reboot. Also after the reboot finally completes, the first thing I see is that settings just closed. I'm on a stock deodexed rom. Is this happening to anyone else? (I cleared cache and dalvik, but not app settings.)
Thats weird. I have tried both the odexed and deodexed versions and am unable to replicate the issue your having. Ill keep looking into it to see if I can figure out the problem.

Thanks, but you should wait to see if it's happening to anyone else. I might just need to clear settings (I just don't want to have to reset them all how I like them.)

BlackBerry decided to put bbm on hold for now. They had 1.1 million people using bbm in 8 hours. They couldn't handle that, so bbm for android was shut down for now.

A few days ago I noticed when I try to play a you tube video the display is dim with what looks like a tv and wifi icon. I can't find anything in you tube settings that caused this does anyone have any ideas what is causing this or what it means. Thanks for your help

Had the same issue. I opened Youtube and started a video, then turned on my bluetooth on by accident. When I got back on it was stuck. I killed the app by holding the home button and removing from recent apps. Went away after but kinda scary as I couldnt find a setting on this. Seems like it do streaming to external source, maybe tv or something with wifi. Googled this and found its something that are on other phones besides ours.

I've been using my phone for about 2 weeks now, everything is perfect and fine but when I take pictures or Snapchats, I feel like my pictures are grainy or pixelated. I would like to know is this a problem with my phone or am I just expecting too much.
I would appreciate it if some of you guys can take some close and distant shots with your G5 on Auto settings and using native camera app and post it here please ? Would like to do some comparison. I would also like to know what you guys suggest I do if it is a problem with my particular phone and I believe I've passed the 14 days return period etc ? Thanks in advance !

Yes, apparently Snapchat is **** at optimizing themselves for phones and it drains my battery fast too. Anyways thanks for your help I think my camera's good !
