Try Beanstalk ROM, it's super stable and got wide options of configuration. On gustavo kernel i get 1% per 1,5h on battery using Greenify and some init.d scripts. Best one in my opinion.

I have 4 suggestions, not in a particular order..
Cyanfox
AOSB - people call it a dead project as there are no updates on it since march, but awesome enough to give it a shot.
C-ROM
And everyone's favorite .. Beanstalk.
Have fun flashing them.

Not a single non-stock rom for the S2 is 100% stable/bug-free as long as there are no proper sources released from the shamesung for the devs to work with.So don't bother finding one,or just pick the one you like the most and enjoy it.
This thread is useless and doomed.

[Q] Which is the Best Rom ?

Hey guys need your expert help, actually my girlfriend uses the ACE and i wanted to install a custom rom for her which is smooth n does not lag preferably looking for a daily driver. Need to know which is best rom which can fill the requirements.
Thanks
there are many same threads of this
herpderp ©copy+paste
None is the best. Saying so is like insulting dev working hard on other roms. Its just the matter of preference.
If u looking for stability and daily driver, go for any custom rom based on stock.
And if u do a little search, most thread asking for "best ROM" were closed by mods.

Well, if you want to go with a CM7.2 I highly recommend Jusada's Ice Cream Sundae FINAL. It runs smoothly and really fast.
But if you want a modified stock rom, you have Stock Lite v5 which is pretty damn good and you have quick reply from the dev if you encounter any problem.
I installed The Myth's Team's Imaginary ICS today, and I have to tell that it blown me away. Pretty fast and stable. And can't complain about the battery so far either.
Hope I helped
dude did u read sticky threads
if u didnt READ!
there are to much threads with best rom question
and i thought its gonna stop after that sticky thread
but noobs dont read
and there is no best rom cause of several reasons:
1.different base rom (cm7,cm9(beta),stock,lewa rom,miui rom)
2.its disrespectful to the developers
3.u need to make your own choice
You are not going to get an answer here so just PM me
guys i know how the search options works & checked out a ton of roms but the reason i created this thread was to know which of these roms do u guys think would serve my purpose.
i had no intention of being disrespectful to the developers n judging them in terms of work, we all know how hard they work so that we can get the best out there.
i've currently downloaded CyanogenMod 9.0.0-RC0-GT-S5830-GalaxyICS-KANG-nigthly i love the smoothness will check it out for a couple of hours & see how things go, the only problem i saw was the camera wont launch.
Next i'll be trying Jusada's Ice Cream Sundae FINAL
judging your responses you should look for a stock based ROM. Those have good battery life and are great for daily use. CM 7.x and 9 are just for performance, doesn't seem to be you need that. stocklite or omegarom works fine.
Try

Thanks guys downloading StockLite v5.0 now... appreciate it
AOSP Beta1 without a dout.

just a matter of time mods will close this thread. u should try n error instead of asking this sensitive question. u dont even have to pay to use their roms...

[Q] New JB (4.1.2/4.2.2) ROM?

Well, after a while (too much time) with dual boot ICS ROMs - Stock 4.0.3 LPG & PFittech ROM 4.0.4 (with siyah kernel), I kinda lost with all the new ROMs, all looks the same but one have options that other haven't and vice versa....
First I wanna know if there is any stable JB ROM (AOKP, not intresting in Stock)?
The 4.2.2 ROMs are stable enough? what the main problems this ROMs have?
I made a pool, just to know a little bit more about the statistic (if someone will cooperate ) of how many users using each ROM, also can post here and share recommands...I want to flash a new ROM and hope to get some info before I'm doing that
Aokp 4.1.2 official is perfectly stable n works great with siyah kernel 5. Its has no problem at all.
Some roms 4.2.2 are not perfect.they work well but most of them have a very poor battery duration.
In my opinion the only 4.2.2 roms i d use d be: sentinel rom. Aokp. Slimbean. I tested a lot of roms 4.2.2( cm rootbox carbon hct thinking etc) n in this 3 i had no problems at all n good battery life( liquid smooth 2.4 is also great. But liquidsmooth team stop supporting our device so the rom file is lost)

Don't know where you find any mention to "bettet/best" rom, all I ask is if the JB roms are stable enough to flash (its been a while last time I've checked) and just for the record to know which rom ppl here using (from the above, cuz all of them looks almost the same)
I also would like to know if there is any bugs or something I should know about the new versions before I'm flashing it.
But if you don't want to help with this, its fine by me.
@Raagh - thanks for reply mate, good to know that the 4.1.2 versions are finally stables!
There are bugs, as always. We got threads about it and fixes for -almost - all of them.
There's no "better ROM" mention, you're right. Tho there are a couple of queries about how stable are those ROM you happened to mention.
You need to try them out one by one or you can read the 1000 pages of the official jb thread sticked in the general forum.
That being said there's no room for any advice on what ROM you should flash, so it won't be -as- a better ROM thread.

just adding on ...
all depends oh what flavor you like ... all the ROM's have there own features dislikes and likes to every individual person... as in kernels as well its matter of preference of what you like ...good luck hope you find the one you like
Its perfectly clear that this is basically a "What is best rom" thread which is against the rules!
If you want to know what is the best/most stable or however you want to put you should TRY THEM AND FIND OUT!
All these type of threads do is result in the same subjective opinions nothing more, If you want those kinds of threads dont create new ones use the search button!
Also READ sticky topics!
Thread reported for obvious reasons!
Sheer laziness :-/
Maybe its because of the poll that I've opened you may tought its "another BEST rom thread".
Seems like some people here getting 'self-righteous', since the last time I've visited...
A simple question that become a spam one, thanks to the 'righteous' "guards" // AKA bootlickers.
I pretty 'seated' about flashing new ROMs, I know most of you don't, but I've flashed a lot of ROMs before I've got the two I mention at the first post, you can call it lazyness, I call it doing home-work before flashing 10 ROMs, I prefer focus on 2 or 3 ROMs to check...
Anyway, I have no idea how to delete the poll (some dumbs may thought its 'what is better rom' post because of this stupid poll, the aim was to see the distribution of the people who use these popular roms, but no one never choose anyway.)
Still - I've got my answers, thanks to @Raagh @gastonw and @slimlo for the informative answers, I naively thought it was a simple question and after a while people could direct me more to something specific.
You can close this thread, thanks again for the above guys and for the 'self-righteous'//bootlickers - hope you'll had a better popularity next time.
The question is, why shouldn't you flash & test a bunch of roms to find one that has what you want/one you like the same as almost everyone else here ? The whole point of hanging around a place like XDA is you like messing around with your phone - yourself. Not have everyone else do it for you.
If that's not your bag, you're probably in the wrong place.
Thread closed as its a Best ROM thread.

[Q] ROM with best battery life

Im sorry, Im pretty sure its probably 50+ thread about 'ROM with best battery life' but im really desperated.
I'm currently using 4.4 by Temasek with Yank kernel which is pain for me, battery goes lower in my eyes (15 minutes Angry Birds -40%>19%).
I really need ROM with GOOD battery life, Im tired of going to school with my charger cause phone wont last whole day.
Give me please, some ideas ROM + Kernel.
Cheers!

I know, but really, read the rules. It has already been reported and will be closed in a moment, I gaher.
But since I'm in a good mood... I suggest stock CM 10.2 (latest nightly) or tonight's build of Omnirom (nightly of dec 4th).
If you prefer stock roms, 4.3 with Yank's kernel or 4.1.2.
Each ROM is a result of a developers hard work, hours of toiling, brainstorming and bugfixing. To condemn a ROM based on a users experience is wrong, and "Best" threads aren't permitted on XDA
Try each ROM and Kernel combo, who knows, maybe you'll get a good response for an unexpected choice

What is the best custom ROM for i9300?

I am looking for a custom 4.4 Kitkat custom ROM which is stable, bug free and fast since that the stock 4.3 from samsung eats a lot of ram which is insane. I hate samsung's useless bloatwares.
Any suggestions people? It would be much better if you've tried the ROM already. I need your answer based on your experience. Thanks in advance

Best rom what rom posts are not allowed .
You could read the identical what is the best rom post today or yesterday or the day before .
We already know that there is no "BEST ROM", but I'm gonna read it as "recommend me a good rom"!.
Quick and fast: NONE.
Anything over 4.1.2 is laggy and slow. May be better or worse, but nothing does in performance and battery like a good stock-based 4.1.2 ROM.
Also CM roms have (or had) worse gpu performance than stock roms.
I have tried a lot of roms, either stock and CM/Omni based, and I finally kept with Imperium 13.6, located there:

Again, it's just my opinion,

I'm a fanatic ex RootBox user. To me, this question rather depends on personal preferences. There are no such thing as this kernel is better than that kernel because in my opinion, all items on XDA are treated the same respect. If you have to ask me, I'd stick to the stock kernel that came with RootBox itself as I think the developers developed their ROM to proper blend with the kernel they provided, just make sure they are compatible with each other.
Ever since bajee has left the development, I switched to NeatROM JB 4.1.2 Aroma (and never regreted once) since they are more active supports, updates, and mods for this ROM. It's very sad though RootBox has so much potentials to stay on my top ROM list.
You've gotta try to understand and satisfied with the kernel you choose for RootBox and the answer will come from yourself. People can make reviews, but that's all depends on how they use their phone. Same questions like battery life, etc. it's all depends. To me, the best combo is Apollo regular + NeatROM JB. Best battery life ever, you will be surprised looking at the battery graph.
Hope that helps.

great answer my dear
I am puzzled by the fact
This rom has many options that do not exist except in a few roms like PACROM...BAMROM..
But unfortunately ..RootBox has a bad battery performance
So ... I thought to use another kernel may solve the problem
i know that NeatRom has a great battery performance ..but i miss a lot of options in it
thx t u man :good:
