As the title says i have a problem when im unlocking the screen. It takes more than 4-5 secs. The custom firmware is 4.4.2(Cyanogenmod) . Can u suggest me a solution guys? CM Version: 11-20140405-Snapshot-M5-i9300
Thanks in advance.

I had the same problem on the stock rom (4.3) and obviously came here...
Im using the default lock screen of CM. No widgets in there.
It's the international version of SIII and many people had the same lag problem in 4.3.The fix was to disable the wave effect on lock screen. I have done this when i had the stock version but didnt help at all. The only fix came up when i 've rooted my phone. Then i 've downloaded The app Trickster Mod and disavble zRAM. But on this custom rom there is no option like this(wave effect) and the phone is rooted by self and cant use any root app.
Sorry for my english by the way.

Hi Everyone !
I've updated my rom to stock 2.3.4 KPH Ginger and I'm experiencing this annoying lockscreen & homescreen lagg, delay when waking up my phone. I know this is because of the sleep mode and the cpu clockrate is lowered for better battery time and when waking up the phone it needs time to be setted back.
Sure on charger i haven't got this problem. and I saw some SGS2 users have the same problem and on some other phones.
My question is that how can I fix this ? Is there any patch or update ... or I have to flash a proper working custom rom which works fine ?
Thank you for answering !

Thanks I might give it a try
I'm wondering about sthg ... When I flashed it via odin i didn't wiped the cache and the dalvik cache ... could it be a problem ? Or the SGA Download mode do this automatically ?
Its not really a bug or lag. It just takes a bit for the screen to turn on. If you look closely after pressing the home button to unlock, the screen is on but the backlight isnt. I'm guessing tthe backlight is a heavy sleeper.

Yes i saw it too it's really strange ... I used froyo before and there it was a faster procedure than in ginger. But i can tolerate it ... what is annoying is the huge lag when waking up the phone after not touching it for about half hour, the lockscreen slider is slow the homescreen is slow and sometimes stucks, it needs 5-10 seconds to run smooth :S, after it there is no problem the system is perfect.
I tried to remove several programs which runs in the background and eating ram, no use.
Maybe I'll give a try to coderom and forget the stock one
Well one day aosp will remove this. Our first builds eliminated the delay but it came back after we included Samsung stuffs.

Yep - not a bug, more of a relief.
We spent 30 years with CRT TVs - can we not move on?

Heh, my Xperia neo MT15a had the same simple fadeout effect both on 2.3.3 and 2.3.4. I liked the Nexus One old TV effect when I had it in my MIUI Milestone...
Anyone care to tell me where I can find this "Screenon&off" app? I can't find it in Market.

And anyway to mess up camera colours ??
And any app which HOGS all the ram ?
under clock it using setcpu, should work with stock kernel I think.
Try Fast reboot pro for rebooting,no sure if it works good on Xperia's or not tho
btw out of curiosity I'm asking this, why you need to do this?
Well i dont want to give my phoe to my elder brother he wants my Arc S and wants to dump the Neo V back on to me :/
I want to make the Arc S really lag so that he thinks he is better of with the Neo V
I dont want to part with it
Im running CM7 on the phone now
So any ways and means to
1)Make apps FC
2)Mess up the camera colour
3)Make the phone randomly reboot/shutdown
4)Mess witht he screen
Thanks for all your help
Will changing app permission cause them to FC ?
EDIT: And no this is no fraud
Im from India and all phones here are box unlocked
Thats what i posted in Arc forums
Any ideas guys ?
EDIT
Can someone link me to a SONY bootanimation ?
Flash a different phone kernel lol

Oh lol, just delete lib files of few system apps, should make 'em fc.
To mess up camera color change camera drivers to drivers from another phone like Neo or V,like in Neo V with Neo camera drivers(in earlier cm9 editions camera was red with Neo drivers on Neo V) camera goes full red and fc later.
To randomly reboot use the app I posted earlier,it can schedule reboots I think,or just install ton of useless background apps and play some games like Asphalt 6,it will automatically reboot
Also delete systemui, apk and say bye bye to notifications & status bar.
Or you know just say to his face that this is your phone and you want it like a BOSS
I flashed nEo Camerai Fix phone wouldnt reboot XP
I underclock to 125Min 512maX oNDEMAND
Deleted bluetooth and set colour to sepia in camera XD
EDIT: Installed Launcher pro
Set scrolling speed to minimum
I love XDA <3

Hey guys, i believe some1 already make this kind of thread before, and i'm sorry that i repeat it, because this is really annoying when i play taptap revenge 4.
The fc occurs when the music has ended. This happens either with wifi or 3G .. but sometimes, the fc doesn't occur
I'm running on stocklite v6 by tj_droid and CF-Root b84 kernel, taptap revenge v4.4.1.3 .
Thx before

It is not the rom every android phone suffers this fc on tap tap wich means it is a badly ported app
The problem is that tapouls does not want to give us updates (I think it is becuz they make enough money from iphone users)
PS:They can't say android does not have enough hardware power, ok maby the ace but not the s2 it has much better hardware than the iphone 4 (wich runs it smootly)
Um..so there's no way to fix this fc ? I really love taptap ..

So the smart stay feature on my S3 has just stopped working... I'm running stock ROM but rooted, with Nova Launcher and Holo lockscreen.
It used to work, not sure when it stopped
Is it the custom launcher and lockscreen causing the issue?
I have removed the lockscreen and gone back to default but still not working... All I get is the flashing eye, then screen goes off.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks.

I`am using Android Revolution HD with Nova laucher and it`s working fine for me. So i guess that shouldn`t be an issue. Maybe a good idea to do a full wipe, reflash your stock rom with Odin and reroot and try if it works.
