Hi,
I have a 5830i and was running a stock 2.3.6 rom. I tried flashing another stock 2.3.6 'open australia' rom, mentioned by 'feetsonfire' (S5830IXXLA4_S5830IOXXLA2_ATO Repacked). Everything seemed fine, and in fact everything was working, except that I couldn't connect to my mobile network (vodafone in my case). In the notifications panel it says 'emergency calls only.'
I tried re-flashing the old stock rom, but the problem remained. I also tried a CWM restore I made before flashing the 'open australia' rom, but the problem remains. I've tried inserting my SIM card into another phone, and it works fine, so it's not the card itself. I've also made sure that the network lock is off by typing *#7465625#. Please help.

If your IMEI is still intact, then it must be network locked. Can you verify again if its network locked or not?

maybe you damaged the sim pins somehow so the sim can't be read properly?
I think your network ic has problem

Bro first of all flash stock rom using odin and then check it. If it is solved then its fine otherwise unroot your phone if you have rooted and visit a service center. They really dont help seeing an rooted phone
No, the pins don't look damaged.

I followed this guide ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ihFRsquw_8E&feature=g-hist&context=G2816d54AHT2JnXgAAAA) to get the official ICS update.
I know the update was for Nordic countries and I live in Sweden so I flashed it through odin.
Now I can't make phone calls, send text messages or connect to my 3G network.
I asked the uploader and he said "Go in to recovery mode and wipe cache and factory reset" so I did.
The phone then started up in Polish and the problems were still there.
Can anyone help?

Have you backed up your EFS folder before flashing?
What you have is a standard IMEI, meaning, that IMEI is for phones that are displayed on stores.
First, try re-flashing the package. If that doesn't work, re-flash only the modem.
If even that doesn't work, follow this guide : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1264021

I dont think I have since I don't even know what an EFS folder is
I am going to try all of these.
By the way when you guys (assuming you too have an 19100 and have upgraded to the official ICS rom) press and hold the power button, do you get the menu for silent mode, 3g network, shut down etc or does it just shut down immediately?
My friend have a similar problem too, he got a problem with CSC Unknown and he can't call, text and all phone features....
The real problem where i can find the flashable CSC files because all link are dead

Well... You should ALWAYS backup your /efs folder. Your /efs folder is literally your phone and is what distinguishes a phone from a gaming mini-console
I have that menu, and I'm sitting on LPB, waiting for something more stable LPB...
Always always always backup that damn EFS folder
That imei number is a generic one so you have lost your unique number.
Try this threadhttp://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1264021
There are others to search for. As a last resort search for odia. He/her has the knowledge to fix it.
Otherwise return for jtag repair.

I'm sorry to hear you lost your IMEI but I hope this will teach you to inform yourself better before doing something like flashing in the future. Anyway simply reflashing the firmware might help it, it certainly helped me twice.
If you get it back make sure you back it up, so you wont have to go through this again.. There are a bunch of apps that can do it for you so it really isnt all that hard.
Anyway, good luck!

I only have one big (622 mb) .tar.md5 file, should I flash that in the modem?
I am having the exact same problem, although my IMEI number seems fine. By that I mean it is not the generic one previously posted.
I can not connect to my carrier network, or do anything else network related for that matter.
My phone also turns off when I tap the power button once, I do not get that standard menu.
Any suggestions?

Here's the fix: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iY9cDkj4CCw! If it works, make sure to make multiple backups of your efs folder on sd card/pc/drop box etc!! You can view your efs folder using the Root explorer app!! Here's the download link for the kTool fix: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=net.hellcat.droiddev.ktool&hl=en! Good luck!

AFAIK, you can repair it only if you have a backup. (someone with far more knowledge than I may know otherwise)
Hello I have a big problem, after I installed a new and updated ROM my phone won't work on any carrier, so here's what happened:
1.I had the ROM FoxHound_Sniper_Wolf_LPD_ICS_GSII_By_SnakeS and it worked great until the GPS started failing so I decided it was time for a change (until now the phone was working flawlessly with carriers and such)
2.I first tried to install the ROM ParanoidAndroid 3+ ROM Galaxy S2 but I forgot to do a wipe first and then I wiped the phone and re-installed the ROM and it still didn't work.
3.I installed WanamLite Clean & Fast JB 4.1.2 v14.3 without errors until I tried to turn on data networking (I had my APN setup by then) and it didn't turn on so I tried calling and this would pop up:"Not registered on network".
4.I try to fix the problem by going to network providers and selecting my network provider and it said: "Unable to connect, try later", so I try selecting the automatic setting and it gave me the same error, so I kept pressing the select automatically setting until it said: "Registered on network" so I try to call again and still gives me the same error "Not registered on network".
5.I try to go back to my old ROM (FoxHound_Sniper_Wolf_LPD_ICS_GSII_By_SnakeS) and it still gave me the error "Not registered on network".
6.I also tried some other ROMs: RR_JB_V3.1.3_AOKP_4.2.1_I9100 and RootBox-JB-i9100-V4.1 and the phone still won't work.
7.I go back to the WanamLite Clean & Fast JB 4.1.2 but this time it's v14.6
PS:it says "emergency calls only" in the drop down menu
info:
county: Israel
carrier: Golan Telecom
phone status: I got it unlocked from the company Cellcom
Network mode: GSM/CDMA (Auto mode)
ROM: WanamLite Clean & Fast JB 4.1.2
Galaxy sII GT-1900T

Hi.
I've got Samsung i9300. I flashed the newest version of Euphoria os by a TWRP 2.8.7.3
When it fully loaded i have seen that i'm not connected to the network. I go to my phone settings and swipe down to info. Then i saw that my phone has unknown baseband. I was thinking the best way to get that baseband is flash stock rom so i do it. After configuration phone i again go to settings and check my baseband. It was normal, so i tried to make a call and then pop-up tell me that i'm not registered on network. So i go to network settings and try to register on network but after searching it tells me that there was an error while searching networks.
Any ideas how to repair that and register to network?

Hi,
Yesterday since I installed CRISSCROSS ROM I lost signal, I thought was a rom problem, after I tried with CARHDROM and the problem persist so I decided to back to the rom that I always use NEXEFY but It don't solved nothing. I checked the signal status, I can see that I don't have IMEI, appeared like unknow.
I have been searching information about this problem, I find a solution using the EngineedMode (Im not sure if this work) but when I dial *#*#3646633#*#* I don't get nothing, I tried MTK SETTING and the same.
I already tried my SIM card in other phones and worked OK, also other sim card of different brand but the problem persist.
Please I hope can you help me.
