[Q] Remove Notification Icon - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

This icon appears whenever my data allowance has been used up. My network who are usually useful with things like this were otherwise on this occasion.
My phone is rooted with CM and terminal editor. Although I've not well versed in terminal editor I can follow instructions, like adding read/write to the system folder so I could delete system apps.
Any help in the matter is greatly appreciated.

Not sure entirely which app controls that, but you can find out by long pressing on the notification drawer then choosing App Info - should have the option to uncheck notifications. Unless it's system app that doesn't have that option. Then you could look into using the Xposed Framework and something like this: http://repo.xposed.info/module/de.defim.apk.notifyclean

I've used Desktop VisualizeR & QuickShortcutMaker to create app shortcuts (with the name as a blank space) for most of my apps. However there a couple of "live" shortcut icons like Messaging that don't respond well to that technique. Is there another way to achieve what I describe in the above image?

If you are rooted, Nottach Xposed has an option to disable the names: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2293956. It's under 'Launcher>Hide dock app labels'.

Thanks for the reply. Unfortunately I'm unrooted and that's not going to be happening very soon since I updated the firmware.

[Q] Per App Sound Control [Solved]

Hey,
I'm searching for an App/Mod/Whatever which is able to control sounds on a per app basis - like Ultimate Sound Control, but for every App. It's really annoying if you want to listen to music and play some games and then a game or so annoys with it's sounds which can not be disabled. Sure, the easiest way would be to find and delete the sound files, but I only can find the system sound files. Also the deleting of the sound files from the apk file and then reinstalling it isn't the easiest way. is there something like that?
If custom kernel is needed, I'm using Dorimanx, so this should not be a problem. But AOSP-only workarounds aren't helpfull, I would like to stay with my LG system and gimmicks as long as possible.
Works with XPosed Framework and App Settings

How to access hidden files "volume adjuster" app?

I downloaded this app a long time ago and remember that it was an app to hide files but i forgot how to access those files now. I have googled that app and looked through many forums but found nothing. Please help.
I have attached a pic of the app name and icon. Version of the app is 1.4 .

Bump
I think this may help
1. Go to Settings ==> Security ==> Device Administrators
2. Go to Settings ==> Apps ==> All
Try to find your app from the list.
If your phone is rooted, try some back-up apps like Titanium Backup

Android system settings app that does have a "default equalizer app selector"

Android system settings app that does have a "default equalizer app selector"
From many different Android devices/ROMs I'm remembering the system option that allows you to choose which app you want to use as your default Equalizer, see the picture below.

So for some weird reasons we don't have this option in newer Androids anymore, hence I'd like to know if there exists any setting app or apps that can offer the very option you're seeing in the picture.
Just to make sure we're on the same page: I do not want to enable/disable any app from the app manager each and every time I want to switch from equalizer, it just don't make sense to do such redundant things at all.
Nobody got an answer?

Question Performance settings in Hidden menus/activities

So I just noticed having installed the Activity Manager app through F-droid, I've not yet set up root, so many of the activities will be unavailable to launch. But one app with a couple of hidden settings not accessible at all via device menus is the Performance app. Not only do I see options to enable ZRAM which is disabled by default and have no intention to activate it. But the other hidden menu is of interest labeled Quick Launch. Though that one is found in settings as a simple switch, the hidden menu accesses a page that allows you to set up to 3 apps for Quick Launch.
Has anybody tinkered with these options? Is it better to leave them alone and select no apps for quick launch or is there an app that should absolutely be on that list that I'm likely misusing?
