Hi everyone,
I have two Chinese tablets ( nonames) with Android ICS that I have already rooted
and I would like to flash a Custom ROM Jelly Bean on it.
I have never flashed a device before.
I dont know even what ROM is compatable to this device.
What I would need to know first before I would ever try to flash it.?
I really do not want to brick it. :crying:
Thanks in advance for all suggestions.
You're going to have to provide more details before anyone can help you.
Going to need to know the manufacturer, tablet specs, model number.
Flashing is different for all tablets so unless you can identify it, there is no way to tell you the proper procedure.
As the title says, I just purchased a OttoNavi 2010~2013 Android Nav system for my Shelby. It comes with the Android 2.3.4 system. Looking for info on root, and how to do a few other things to it.
Is it the same as the Parrate system ? Any info greatly appreciated !
Thanks.
Subscribing cuz TheMustangSource brought me here...
Well I have the system and its pretty open. I will look at doing a few things to it...see what happens. Stay tuned !
I would love to see if progress could be made on this, as me and a buddy just got one!
bump, for any new devs that might own the device

I have this stupid console on my 2010 mustang gt ... it is almost decent but it get way better wheb you upgrade it to 4.0.3 ( i have the files if u want to upgrade it ) ... im lookin for doin some custom rom with it but i dont know where to begin there is no support for it also seems we are the only ones having this console ... by the way when u upgrade to 4.0.3 your already rooted ... i heard they might have some new ram chips and stuff for this console and that was 3 years ago ... still havent seen anything to it ... it would be awsome if we get to modify it and im askin any dev or anyone who knows anything about this console please give us any hints ....
I have done something stupid right now ... been playing with build.prop and i accidently put the density and instead to putting it to 120 i set it to 480 and i couldnt do anything ... so i thought if i tried to try the upgrade it will be fix ( as in factory reset since we cant do that ) lemme tell you one thing ... BIIIIIIIIIG MISTAKEEEEEEE ... since its already on 4.0.3 its not upgrading anything and im stuck with the black screen ....
If u could give me your build.prop it would be awsome i wanna compare them to each other ( mine and yours ) as soon as i fix this issue which i have no idea how ... tried everything without any luck !!!
Im willing to go as far as bricken this console if anywould would want to try anything just gimme a pm and we will blow this stupid console or might make it awaome who knows
Best of luck everyone
Good day all,
Last week my phone died, so i was forced to buy a new one. I wanted to get a cheap phone with a dual core processor. With that in mind i bought myself the Alcatel One Touch X'Pop 5035D. Now don't get my wrong, i am fairly happy with the phone but i was used to phone that were rooted and had some community behind it to make that happen. Now i realise this is a fairly new phone that is a mid-end smartphone but i really hope someone could look in to this phone.
The only thread that i found about this phone was pretty much dead and i was hoping a new topic would put some new light on this phone.
I myself ain't someone that can develop anything for this phone since i just don't have the required skills to start a project like this. Now the only thing i can do is ask the following questions:
1) Is anyone able to Root this device?
2) Would it be a possibility for someone to make a ROM for this phone?
I would be able to test any upcoming ROM's or Roots, so thats no issue.
I really hope to get some responses since this phone has the hardware to run jellybean.
Oh and Alcatel released the sources on their phones on sourceforge, that might be helpfull:
http://en.sourceforge.jp/projects/sfnet_alcatel/releases/
Thanks in advance!

You probably speak about Samsung Monte, S5620. Seeing the phone specs, it can't run more than GingerBread and even then, not sure that it would be smooth.
Porting android to another phone is an incredible work, it need first to break bootloader security, and find another android phone based on same hardware (like GS1 for wave 1 and 2); and then it need to change or write thousands lines of code.
Hey, I am a complete beginner when it comes to setting up a new
custom ROM to my device. Even though I am a beginner I'm not hopeless.
All I need is a little more clear instructions in order to smoothly figure this
out. I'm trying to install a ROM sort of like jellybean to my Samsung SGH-i997.
I went through the process of rooting it all I need now is the actual thing on my
phone. Anyone who would like to help please contact me as soon as possible.
Thanks! I would totally appreciate it!
