Hi, I have been searching for a ROM that I can use on my Galaxy S3 mini i18190N, its got NFC included. Is there one? I have rooted it so for with Cyanogen MOD by Nova, but its not with NFC, and it has major battery problems and the Wifi-Direct doesnt work. I have been with them since last December, but nothing has changed. I am not an expert, so would need a little bit of direction. I have been running the nightlies so I have flashed my phone almost every night since December. I have been using Clockwork Touch to Flash the ROM. My Carrier is EE, in the UK.
Thank you
Wrong forum, this is for the i9300 only, try Google.

I tried different Sims from different providers and is the same issue... the phone is recognizing the Sim cuz is asking for the PIN... but not signal...also I bought a unlock code and no is not that... so someone knows how to fix it
Not trying to be an ass but why do people come to a custom ROM forum to ask questions about official att Samsung updates and help with them.

Did it work before the upgrade? If it did I would return it to AT&T and tell him the ICS update broke your phone.

did the upgrade break it? did you do something to break it?
Does your provider support at&t bands?
If the phone is stock, and you havent done anything to cause the problem. check the contacts on the SIM, or the phone h/w failed.
heh. got beat.

If it was like that before the upgrade then it's a hardware issue. The phone has a broken antenna.
And you probably voided his warranty by flashing a custom rom. LOL.

the phone was working fine 3 weeks ago!!!!
Because if I was over In The att / Samsung forums asking for help with a custom ROM what kind of replies and help would I get. Like I said I wasn't trying to be an ass about it was just kinda curious why people don't ask for help on official ROMs from the people who actually release it.

I9300 is the International version

When u boot up the phone, it should say i9300 or i9305.
Or
Just go to Settings > About
Look at the "Model Number" and it will display GT-i9305 or GT-i9300

No this is the wrong forum. You need sprint galaxy s3 forum.
If you do anything from this section it will brick your device.

thank you sooo sooo very much
A friend of a friend was giving us a lift today, and she asked if we could turn on navigation on her phone since she was in the middle of driving. Her phone is a Galaxy S II, definitely i9100 and not the other variants (4.3" not 4.5", physical home button). She was running it on Telus but she bought it second-hand a few weeks ago so I assume it was a Bell or Virgin model.
Anyway I could see from afar that it was most definitely still running Gingerbread, and I wondered why it hadn't gotten the ICS update. I asked if I could see the phone and I went to the About screen - it's running 2.3.6, and the build number says Super ROM. Then I looked in her app drawer and saw Superuser. She is not the type who knows how to root a phone or would even want to, so the likely explanation is that the seller had installed a custom ROM and neglected to revert it before sale.
I've never owned an i9100... If she were to ask for help returning it to stock, would the simplest way just be to flash the Bell ICS ROM using Odin? Are there any precautions I'd need to take in case something the last owner had installed would be incompatible with the flash?

To be clear, she is a non power user. The ideal ROM for her is whatever would've been on there by now if it had never been hacked. So I believe that'd be ICS.

Just flash the ics of bell version since shes not a power user i did the same for wife shes has no intentions of using any custom roms for her just basic use
and i assume you know where too get that and yes flash in odin the stock version either from here you can get it or samfilmware ics version for 19100m
cheers
Thanks!
Actually I should add... The SuperROM she had on there said the device was i9100G. Is it possible that's just because it's what it says in the ROM, and it's still really an i9100m? Cause now I see they have different processors...

Hey. You better first make sure that the Galaxy S unlock tool isn't there, otherwise that's how the seller sim-unlocked the phone. Putting it on ics may lock it back up but you can unlock it again. If you move it to jellybean though, the unlock tool doesn't work yet. Ics is good enough for her.

Hey I'm also looking to update my phone and I'm sort of in the same situation as this girl. I bought my phone second hand and found out later that it was rooted and has CyanogenMod 7.1 on it. My model is the I9100 and my provider is Telus. I was looking to update it to CM10, but one of my concerns is that it might get locked again and I won't be able to use my phone on Telus. Should I just settle for CM9? Will it for sure get locked again? I'm a noob.

Presumably if it's genuinely an i9100G and not m (I'm not sure, as I only saw the phone once), it wasn't from a Canadian carrier. In which case who knows how it was unlocked.

Hello everyone and sorry if my English will not be perfect because I'm Italian, and I do not know the language very well. this is the problem, two weeks ago I bought a samsung galaxy s2 in america brand at & t obviously unlocked, the phone calls go on the internet I can download applications, there is only one problem the version I have installed on top of the phone is the Android 2.3.4 if I go to update softwere does not give me no updates are available why? thanks to all and sorry again
If u want ICS you have to use Kies on the computer.
Maybe cuz lies connect with Italian source from Samsung and it don't have i777 there.
Root your phone and try any custom ROM.
You'll like it!

Here's a hint... besides reading the sticky threads, also check out the links in my signature. The answer is in there somewhere.
If you haven't found the answer yet, you have the warning triangle that means you're running a non-Samsung kernel. Or more accurately, you flashed a non-Samsung kernel through Download mode. With that said, searching for your remedy should be really easy.
Or you know, you could actually have an i9100 and just THINK it's an i777. I know how much everybody wants our slick devices nowadays.
Holy smokes..... did wewonk make another account and make a third thread?
