Speck Stylefolio 12.2" - Galaxy Tab Pro 12.2, 10.1, 8.4 Accessories

I picked up the Speck StyleFolio for the Galaxy Note Pro 12.2".
It will fit the Galaxy Tab Pro 12.2" as well. The only issue, is that the location where the S-pen would be, remains open.
Everything else is great.
I had the Samsung flip case but I didn't like the lack of support it seemed to provide.
It looked like they just enlarged the 10.1" case with out doing any engineering.
The Samsung case seemed to sag to me. It couldn't support the large tablet correctly.
I really like this case.
The clasp ensures that your tablet is safe if you are walking around and accidentally drop it.

looks like a nice case.
Where the case slips in, is there a possibility of it getting scratched?

I highly doubt the case will scratch the tablet.
I haven't had any problems with scratches or dents.

[Q] Dock and Speck Case

Does anyone know if the note fitted with the speck case fits properly on the samsung dock that they sell in att stores?
Thanks
Don't think so. I have a case about the size of the Spec and it does not allow the usb plug to seat properly. The SGP Ultra Thin I also have does work with the dock, but has minimal protection on the bottom and top of the phone.
via my AT&T Note
Sorry, it doesn't work. The Speck is too thick and the charging port cutout is too small to make a connection.
My Samsung Galaxy Note™ is smarter than your Honor Student.
Seido makes this dock that is made to work with their active series of cases, which is definitely just as bulky, if not bulkier than the Speck Candyshell, so it should work just fine. It's a bit spendy, and only works with portrait mode, but it's still a viable option:

Gumdrop skin/case for Note 12.2?

I've been looking around for a case for the Note Pro 12.2 but I have not really found any other than something that looks like a paper thin slicone skin.
I really would like to get a gumdrop bounce silicone skin for it (its like their cases but with out the hard plastic cover). I bought them for my wife's ipad air and my mother's (with the glass screen protector) and they both think they are great and my wife's has survived many drops (from the kids).
I think it would be ideal for the Note Pro 12.2 because it would:
1. Not have the annoying clear plastic cover (we want glass right)
2. Be lighter than the ones that have the extra hard plastic case
3. could cover up the capacitive buttons with silicone (could be done with cut outs instead of pre cut out for you), so that the end user could instal something like LMT pie controls and not have to use/turn off the dedicated buttons on the device.
4. would not cost as much as the two part skin/cases (both the company and consumer would need to spend less on the silicone skin)
If you would be interested in gumdrop making a case like this, I would suggest requesting it from them for the Note Pro 12.2
http://www.gumdropcases.com/support
Otherwise if you know of anyone like otterbox or another company making something similar, please let me know I can turn anything up in my searches, but I did just find the announcement (from a leaked memo) that went up today (28th) that Verizon will have the LTE version of this tablet on March 6th.
Thanks for any help you can offer me on this!

[Q] Protective Case Recommendations?

I've read through a lot of the posts regarding cases, and have been considering the Logitech keyboard case, but honestly, the reviews aren't very good for the case as far as securing and protecting the device. I'm mainly concerned about the screen getting cracked or scratched during transit. My pro will spend most of its time on my desk but will have a lot of time in my backpack between classes. At the moment it's sharing space with my Mac Book Air in a soft briefcase-type of thing. I was hoping for something a lot like the Zagg keyboard case I have for my iPad 4. I don't care much about the keyboard since the Zagg pairs nicely with my Pro, and I plan to use the stylus 99% of the time.
Any recommendations or ideas? The Zagg for my iPad is pretty low quality as far as the keyboard is concerned but I've never worried about traveling with my iPad when it's in that case. It's a real beast!
Although I don't have one, my vote goes to the Speck Stylefolio .
1. You say you don't need a keyboard since you already have one that works.
2. Having the flip cover protects the screen while in your bag.
3. The flip cover does not have any magnets which means no interference with S-Pen functionality.
OtterBox. Period. Adds some major weight and size, but if you truly want what you're describing - in regards to the most protection any case out there can offer - then there you have it. It's also $130. Best $130 you'll spend on your nearly $700 tablet. A little steep, but your investment is just a tid-bit steeper, don't you think?
I purchased this one off a recommendation here. It protects it nicely but I will be trimming it around the buttons as it covers them slightly. And annoys the crap out of me.

I do have the Speck Stylefolio, and it provides great overall protection with minimal bulk, and securely holds the Note Pro. Quality materials, worth the cost.
=GO=
You can find iPad Case at www cell-phonecover com.
I have both the Samsung flip cover, which has no bulk and the Samsung Keyboard case. Had the logitech, and it damaged the corner by the spen by chipping the finish off the tab.
The flip cover corners have cracked and kinda fits looser. I only use it if I'm doing a site walk outside for work. Other than that, if it's on your desk most of the time, I would recommend a stand of some sort that doubles as a cover.

Case that covers S-Pen?

I currently have the Samsung book case for the tab s7+. I am having issues with the s pen coming loose and falling off. The book case with the tab s6 had a flap on the top back of the case that would cover the s pen so it couldn't fall off. The book case for the s7+ does not have this. Does anybody know of a case for the tab s7+ that does hold the s pen in place?

I like the supcase unicorn beetle. Not a book case though
I picked up a TiMOVO case from Amazon. It has elastic that holds the s pen in place. It feels a little more bulky than the book cover case but not to bad.
Spigen recently released (in the last month or so) a new book case. I think it's superior to Samsung's own book case. Offers a trifold front cover that can be folded back and also a spot to mount the s pen in the designated area on the back of the tablet. Link below if you're interested. I picked it up and it's been great.

Why don't you put the s-pen in the spot on the spine of the book cover? Mine has never fallen out when the case is closed. Everyone complains that their book cover doesn't hold the s-pen in place during transport when they leave it on the back even though the slot on the spine is completely protected. The only problem is that it doesn't charge there.
I got mine from Best buy Canada, Tucano brand, no magnet crap to mess up my S Pen, the only one that has no Smart cover thing.
Perfect protection of the pen.
Actually, so good that I had trouble getting the pen out so I cut off a few mm to make it easier

Take a look at the Fintie line of cases on Amazon. I've got one for the S7 and S5e, both look and feel great. I don't have actual experience with the one for the S7+ though.

Old thread, but I wanted to say I bought this one, too, and it is outstanding. Not much bulk, great protection, and the pen stays put.
I have both the original Keyboard Case and Book Cover Case. Been rocking the Keyboard case about 95% of the time. Its aweome, and I use my tablet for a lot of productivity, so its nice to have quick acess to keyboard. The pen is stored on the back, like it was on tab S6 Book cover.
On the book cover its stored inside the case. Also convenient.

This is the Poetic TurtleSkin. It's fat and rubbery but not sticky. I got it for less that $20. I had to get used to it but now I can say I'd buy it again. I also have the genuine book cover wich is well made but overpriced. And dealing with the pen seems like it was an afterthought.
The Spigen one runs for several inches along the back, and holds the s Pen firmly. Mine has never come loose.
