Z2 lock screen... shortcuts to apps? - Xperia Z2 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hey guys, I can figure out how to add widgets to different panes of the lock screen, although not very useful.
I can't help finding a way to add app shortcuts at the bottom alongside the camera app (or somewhere else). Any way to do so?
Cheer!

Not that i know of
If you know advanced java then i suggest decompile the lock screen and modify it

Ive been looking for this too. With the camera being in the top centre, it definitely looks like it has provisions for more shortcuts but just cant find the settings anywhere.
Besides using a 3rd party app, im hoping someone can shed some light on how to set it up (for non rooted phones)

[Q] QuickDesk PRO

I know that development has ceased for this, but does anyone have problems with translucent backgrounds so that you can see the app behind it? i know its a small feature but it becomes really annoying lol.
also does anyone know of a follow up app with similar features to quickdesk? where it still allows the home button to go to your choice of launcher!?

1x1 Custom Widget

Hi, Im looking for a certain type of widget. It's simple enough but i cant find it.
It must be 1 x 1. I want to be able to add my own jpg image for the icon and i want to be able to open a app when i click it.
E.g. Have a picture of a camera, and open the camera app when i click it.
Anyone know if this exists?
Thanks

Ultimate custom widget (UCCW)?
you can just use a custom launcher that allows you to assign icons to apps and shortcuts
that is not a widget you want!
Most launchers allow you to add shortcuts to their home screens and then change the icon for it. Shortcuts can be apps, activities within apps, and so on.
Go LauncherEX is one such launcher that lets you change the image for home screen shortcuts.

Making Lockscreen Widgets Bigger?

Hey guys
I was just wondering if there was any way to make the lockscreen widgets show more information without swiping down to show it?
I'm using 200dpi so it is quite a bit less than stock...
I used DashClock and saw that it was the same thing as CM's cLock...
For instance, if you have 2-3 calender events, some of them will be cut off until you swipe down to unlock the widget. Is there any way to make the "viewing" part bigger so that I don't have to open the widget every time? It drives me nuts...I just want to turn on my phone and see the information there, not have to swipe open again...
Thanks guys,
Elliott
Bump...anyone?

I don't know what you're using to change DPI (Xposed mod, or paranoid preference). If it's paranoid preferences, try this:
In paranoid preferences, go tools, select expert mode.
Then in per app settings, you'll have the option to 'force' or 'large'. Try playing around with these, possibly for dashclock, systemui or Androidsystem. I don't know if this will help, as I don't use an overall lower dpi, only for some apps.
Apologies if that doesn't help your situation at all.

Thanks for trying but I'm using ROM Toolbox to change the DPI...running CM10.1.

Disable app labels in home screen dock?

Wanted to know if someone who understands this a little better could guide in the right direction. Without use of a launcher, I'd like to know if there is a file or line through Root Explorer that can be edited somewhere that makes the app labels in the dock hide. I know the dialer is a dialer I don't need it to say that, would love a much cleaner appearance.
I did a lot of searching and I guess this was once a native TouchWiz feature which was later taken out.
Thanks in advance for any help! :fingers-crossed:

Shelf, Any issues, customization's or mods?

Hi,
I recently upgraded to Oos Android 6 Marshmallow. I am enjoying the new Shelf feature which oneplus offers. I do have some questions though that I thought others would find useful if answered in a thread.
I know some people have mentioned shelf has a refresh issue, that it doesn't auto update widgets pinned to it, example: weather. Are any of you experiencing this, if so, is there any way to fix it?
For what I use shelf for, its pretty basic, and all I really need. I would however like to remove the recently used apps widget and attach a favorite app widget where I can pin the apps I want. Is there any way to customize shelf to pin the apps I select or to use a app pinning widget to show the apps i want(I couldn't find an app pinning widget on play store) on shelf?
Last question, Has any developer here played around with shelf, tried customizing it or added any needed features to it? If so I would be curious to know the changes you made or any releases.
Impossible to modify or tweak Shelf....
To change what is in the panel, you have to long press on it or on the icon to modify.
Then swipe left or right the widget you want to erase. (sorry not really precise, but don't have OOS anymore...)
On the 3.1.4 version, no problem with shelf for me.
But you should erase all "launcher 3"'s datas and reset it if you have some.

Thanks for the reply, Why is it impossible to tweak shelf?
I am on 3.1.4 and I haven't experienced any refresh issues yet, I was more curious if others were experiencing any. I know how to change the widgets and customize the panel, but like i said instead of recent apps I want favorite apps. Since shelf doesn't have this feature by default I assumed the best way would be to get a app from google play which allows you to pin apps to a widget on your home screen, then you could just use that widget in shelf. I haven't been able to find an app that does this though, If anyone knows of any, please post them in this thread.
It's too much inserated in the OnePlus system to be modified.
