Close app automatically - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi
Please I want a way or an app to close an opened app completely when I press back button on my phone.
It is mean that I don't wan this app to go to the recent open apps list.
I don't want to enter the recent app list to closed app every time by sweeping.
I'm using Samsung galaxy s2 plus with CM11
Thanks in advance

GravityBox and xposed installer if you are rooted. Look for Hold back to kill somewhere in the hardware buttons options.

People, would you mind to switch off your stupid Tapatalk signatures? You are posting it everywhere like a crowd of free bot-slaves million times a day. And It is hard to focus on subject reading all your's Tapatalk-Shmakatolk signatures every post - whatever you v been using - nobody cares. There are must be many people who can use some Tampax while posting here - and god bless them for their silence.

so try to update your phone with a custom ROM for Android 2.3.

paranoid rom uses CM9 as a base
So this means that you will have to find out how to add ringtones to a contact in cm9
You could ask in CM9 thread.
I am using sammy rom now so i cant help you. Sorry
Oh really...? Why won't you ask it in the PA thread? If you really want to ask it here, please, go to Q&A section!

i use a Ringo Lite app from Google Play. thanks a lot! sorry again.
I think there is a option for that in the people.apk when you edit a contact I can check and see
Edit: If you choose your contact and open it as normal so you see all the phone numbers and so on, press the menu button and there is an option there called "Set Ringtone" no need for a third party app

Hi,
iOS... What is it ?
Personnaly I know nothing other than the Android multitasking... , when I googled "iOS multitasking" there is nothing relevant... :victory: :silly::fingers-crossed:
In any case your post had nothing related to do with the OP (Note 2 multitasking windows about SIII port, not a general thread about multitasking on Android VS I*****)... If you want to talk about multitasking there are another threads

IOS doesn't multitask. Simple as that.
To switch between running apps keep the home button pressed to see the task manager.

[Mod] Long Menu Press to Kill and 4 Way Reboot

As the title suggests this is just a simple mod that gives you long press menu to kill and 4 way reboot. I'm personally running deodexed so no clue if it will work on stock odexed. Credits to blulite for the 4 way reboot and BigDogPooh for the menu to kill, all I did was combine the two for are phone.

Odex downlad thanks to hlxanthus : http://goo.im/devs/hlxanthus/GS4/4WayBoot-MenuKills_odex.zip

+1 for creating an Odexed version
Not sure why you guys insist on odex versions of everything. Just flash a deodex build and be done with it.

This. Don't feel like reflashing my entire ROM just to get a simple reboot menu
So instead of simply downloading the ROM and taking the 2 minutes it takes to flash, you'd rather take more time and go around to every thread and ask for odex versions of everything? That makes no sense at all.

Google Keyboard

Some of you may or may not know, but Google released their own keyboard app for Android users to download:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.google.android.inputmethod.latin
Think it'll be something we'll start seeing in AOSP ROMs instead of the other keyboard that's comes with AOSP ROMs? Since this is an official release from Google and stuff.

Looks and feel like the AOSP keyboard except for the fact that this is officially supported by Google, which means updates by them and possibly new features down the line.
I prefer AOSP for things like the keyboard. Using it right now and I really like it so far, my accuracy seems very good and everything just flows. Plus I look forwards to the updates and support!
I really like that they added the long press duration option so desperately needed on keyboards like swype, but I wish they would give us the option of having symbols over the keys which would make the long press option more effective. Still, is pretty good!
Sent from my SCH-I605 using Tapatalk 2
Could you elaborate a little? Because I think what you're referring to is available, just long press the period and you'll have a list of symbols. And for letter symbols like á just long press the letter a.
I love aosp ROM's but Samsung is the only one that has swipe on their one handed keyboard.

I think I understand what you're saying... kind of like the swiftkey style keyboard? I reall like that option. Another option I would like to see would be resizable keys as you see in swiftkey.

I mean having the symbols displayed on the letter keys such that when you long press a letter, it's secondary function is to input the symbol displayed as the keys superscript. For example on Swype and SwiftKey you have 'a' and its superscript is the '@' symbol. When you press a, it inputs a and when you long press a, it inputs @.
