They just fixed the phone and not replace it? If that is the case, you can still use it and unlock the bootloader.
they had just repaired it and it came back locked up. i tried having it in fast boot then fastboot flash unlocktoken unlock_code.bin and it said it didnt work, ideas? or am i doin it wrong?

That depends on what was repaired, like if they replaced any internal hardware. Do you know what exactly they did to ur phone?

the chargin port thingy was ****y. wouldnt charge unless it was help at the perfect position. not sure what they replaced but what i heard from a telus employee i know was that they put a whole new chip in so idk what would be changed
From what I know, some phones have the charging port onto the motherboard. So if it doesn't work, they have to replace the whole motherboard.
bawls, so htcdev site says my new id token is invalid
From what ur sayin it seems they replaced something that is effecting you unlocking it. If it is saying invalid, i would write them, or try sending them a message on twitter, htcdev has a twitter and most of the time they respond. If u dont have a twitter write them and tell them ur situation and that its saying its invalid...
Now that i think about it, it may be saying its invalid because u already used it when you unlocked it the first time. This happened to me when i relocked my phone and was trying to unlock it again. I would type in the toiken, and it would say it was invalid, because i had already used it. But i still had and used the Original file, i believe its a .bin fine, that i unlocked it with the first time, to unlock it again

Well he said 2 posts before that he went to htc dev and it said invalid, so i think that his original thought of it now being impossible was a misinterperatation.. but it coming up as invalid is because he already used the toiken once before. I kno this from experience trying to re-unlock myself

so have you tried the entire unlock process again from the start? tokens can't be reused, but an unlock.bin file can, assuming they didn't change anything major on your phone...
either way, use hasoon's all in one tool to help you get unlocked, it pretty much automates the whole process, then report back
Try creating a new account from htc dev..
i try to pull my identifier token and i get this

No, it's supposed to - the instructions say to just copy the entire token, including INFO, so I'm assuming that they just filter the first 4 characters off of each line.
And if you're using a Telus Amaze4G, you're SOL. You can't generate new unlock codes as there's no option for Telus Amaze's... and the IMEI's do have some sort of way to identify which carrier they were bought from.
ok ok i got it! i thought they made it so telus amazes cant be unlocked but i did the htcdev method, i removed all the infos and it worked!

Using an HTC Evo 4g LTE. Had the phone rooted then unrooted and now want to toot back. Everytime I attempt to utilize RegawMod and the manual version, I get an error saying, "Error retrieving Unlock_code.bin from email." I thought I had seen that you need to use your original code but I do not have mine anymore. Is there a work around to be able to unlock the bootloader and get rooted? Thanks.

I do believe each phone is mapped to one unlock file. I used mine to originally unlock my bootloader. When DirtyRacuns became available and I needed to relock, I then used that same unlock.bin that I had saved to unlock it again.

I have a rooted AT&T One X+ that I unlocked via HTCDev when I first got it and now run Elegencia. I'd like to update to the newest RUU (to get the radio/hboot/all the new stuff) before updating my phone again (running an older Elegencia version currently). I understand that running the RUU will wipe the SD card/phone/recovery/everything and bring me back entirely to stock and will relock the bootloader. My problem is that I don't have the unlock token from HTCDev anymore for the bootloader. Does anyone know if it's still possible to unlock the bootloader for an AT&T One x+ via HTCDev or did they close that loophole??? Or is there a way for me to recover the unlock token?
Thanks!
I want to do the same and from what I have read you can still unlock from HTCDev after updating.
The only thing I don't know is do you need to relock the bootloader before running the RUU?
I don't think you need to relock before running the RUU, it should do it itself I would think.
I've also done some more reading and I'm also wondering if it's really worth it....looks like you can flash the radio. May just pass on having to deal with unlocking/that whole thing again.

You have to relock bootloader and then you are able to run the ruu. If bootloader is unlocked and you try to run the ruu the setup will not complete and fail.
Have you tried to obtain the unlock.bin from the HTC website again since it was deleted?

No problem
This is where I got my unlock.bin to unlock my bootloader. The steps are very easy, Go here http://www.htcdev.com/bootloader and where it says "Select device" select 'Other supported models' and follow the on screen steps. Then they will email you your unlock.bin to unlock your bootloader
OK so I need to go through the process again, I thought there'd just be a way to get the bin file again without having to do it again, oh well.
Guess question becomes whether it's really worth it or not....

As far as I know you cant s-off hboot 1.02, besides, there is no need to, as you can pretty much do everything needed anyhow.
Your trying to install an ruu, so you need to re-lock hboot again.
From memory reboot into bootloader, connect phone to computer, select fastboot mode, in cmd mode on pc goto where fastboot.exe is and then type fastboot OEM lock.
Just double check that before doing it, the instructions were included in the unlocking email from htcdev.

Ok, I searched google on your behalf
Error 131 means you are trying to install an ruu not ment for the region of your phone, the solution is to either install the correct Rom for the region of your phone or make a goldcard, however at this point the website to make goldcard is not running.
There is however a backdoor to make goldcard that might work, look in this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=41527043 and have a read.

Can you boot into a rom as normal, or are you stuck at the bootloader screen?
If you're stuck at the bootloader screen, then I would find a way to unlock your bootloader (try HTCdev, hopefully it will still work) and then flash a recovery, a rom and then finally a kernel. You might need to run a stock RUU before you can re-unlock your bootloader.

Have a look here for RUUs: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2112275&highlight=ruu
Can you give some more info about why you couldn't unlock with HTCdev? What errors do you get? What steps (exactly) did you take and where did it fail?

Your bootloader needs to be unlocked to be able to flash a recovery; it must be locked to run a RUU. If you don't have the stock recovery on there then the only way I can see forward is unlocking with HTCdev.
If it's failing, you need to post some output as to why. Copy and paste the error text, or better yet, take a screenshot and post it here and people will be able to help you more.

Step one flash the stock ROM/kernel step 2 use the root kit to re lock the boot loader reboot it will only reboot as normal with the stock ROM/kernel if you want to unroot and revert everything to stock find the updated ruu run it and then do a factory data reset and presto its out of the box condition

Why are you wasting your time when you don't even understand the basics? This is another example of people that jump straight in without reading. Then expecting the community to clean there mess up......
For your bootloader to read "relocked" you must of unlocked and locked the bootloader atleast once. Why can't you remember how you did it?
Your best bet it to search your email for the unlock code HTC sent you the first time you unlocked the bootloader, download and flash it, then flash a custom rom.
Good luck
