I downloaded CM11 and the gapps package tonight. Play Store force closes every time I try to open it. This is causing a lot of issues, as other apps won't work unless I can get into Play Store to update Google Services Framework. I've tried all the "fixes" on google, I've installed CM 11 (4.4.2) on my Evo4GLTE. Installed the (I assume) correct gapps from the cm wiki, as well as the most recent Paranoid Android gapps. I can't get Play Store to open. I get "Unfortunately Google Play Store has stopped" no matter what. I've cleared cache/dalvik, reinstalled gapps, removed/re-added my google account, cleared cache/data on Play Store, Framework, download and download manager. Fresh install, no changes on my part other than basic setup stuff.
Can anyone help me? I've never had this much of an issue with Android before, and it's driving me insane.

Hello, latest Google Play Services app (3.1.36) which is required for Google Hangouts and Google Play Games causes my P7500 to reboot before finishing installing.
This is particularly annoying since Google Play tries to auto-update it every few minutes, causing the reboot of my tab. I've tried to manually install the apk, I uninstalled updates, and cleared data+cache. Any other ideas?
I have CM10.1 updated to latest nightly, with latest recovery/modem/bootloader by pershoot.

Latest. "gapps-jb-20130301-signed.zip" to be precise.
I have a Galaxy S3 I9300 from Telcel, Mexico running CyanogenMod 10.2.0, upgraded from 10.1.3 with the upgrade feature and using TWRP for this purpose. I am unable to download anything from the Play Store, the store loads but the apps won't download. I have flashed the gapps-20130813 package, cleared data and uninstalled updates from Play Store and Google Play Services, and it won't download yet. After googling around, I already cleared data on Google Play, Google Framework and Google Play Services, every single cache with Titanium Backup, cleaned up Dalvik cache, and removed and re-added my Google account. Still no luck.
I also noticed the download notification briefly appearing for a split second when I tap Download on Google Play.
Is there anything I can't do? I don't want to go through the hassle of backing everything up, deleting the entire data partition and restoring everything.
Remove/add google account
Please try to remove your google account and add it again after restart.
I have xperia ray which has very limited memory for apps. I have cyanogenmod 10 flashed and gapps. As the gapps package is very old and has outdated google play store and services the two apps update and take alot of space. I want them to install in the system memory not in the user memory. I tried extracting the updated google play store 4.8.20 and services 5.0.84 and put them in replaces the old ones in gapps.zip with these new ones but when i flash them they crash and give me errors "com.google.process.gapps has stopped" and "google play services has stoped " etc. My question is is there any method to add these new google apps in gapps properly. and flash them. I searched alot on google but couldnt get any solution. Any help would be apreciated.
thanks
Any body please
There is an option in Titanium Backup to integrate updates of System Apps into ROM.
My play store as well as Google Services framework were updated, so I used the option in Titanium for Google Servives Framework.
Now my Play Store doesn't work and Google framework services also crash.
I have tried:
- Flashing PA Gapps again (I am on a PA ROM, I9500)
- Installing Play store and GFS separately by disabling the older ones
- Installing above on top of existing as an update, where the installations of both were successfull
However still nothing is fixed. GFS might be working as I don't get errors by apps using GFS. But I don't get push notifications.
But play store app is broken. It always shows "No internet. Retry now"
Have tried removing data, clearing cache, of the play store app.
But it just shows retry now and an option in the left to switch account.
How do I fix this.
I need completely fresh Play Store and GFS, w/o factory wipe or loosing data.
Help appreciated. thanks
Does anyone know how to fix this? I bought it from etotalk.com and I asked them to root and download play store onto my phone (which worked) and I updated my phone to the latest version. After the reboot, the play store closed when I opened it and the error message 'Google Play Services has stopped working' came up.
I uninstalled them and tried reinstalling the services and the google play store kept crashing over and over again.
I re-installed the services using aptoide app market and the iuni market, but it kept saying I needed to download google play services. I have the framework installed btw.
same problem here
I played clash of clans until a high level and lost my village because of don't have google play services for login to account
if any 1 can help us to install google play on our devices please do it faster
note: please describe for me easily and simple it's my first android phone !!! so I will be happy if you describe each step for me
with special thanks and I am sorry for my bad English ,excuse me if I used silly words
Probable SOLUTION.
Go to Settings>Applications>All
check if google play services is present there. If present then clear its cache and data and then restart your phone.
If not present, then try searching GAPPS for your Android version/Custom ROM and flash it.
As you mentioned that it is already rooted then flashing GAPPS wouldnt be much difficult.
Read the appropriate guide before flashing any GAPPS
