I tried this before when I first flashed to CM9, I get bootloops. Since then, I forever stick to ICS and never trying to convert back to GB although I wish to do so. I dare not and i'm lazy to deal with the bootloops.. I not sure why I get bootloops btw, some other ppl faced that as well. So I hope this brother able to convert back to GB successfully. Good luck.
To convert back to GB you have to flash an old GB bootloader for some reason after flashing the stock ROM. After that do a full wipe, everything else ended up in a bootloop for me.
Fingers crossed .

So end up you success? Would you mind to share the old GB bootloader? Not the stock rom. Is the particular bootloader. Thanks!!
Yes I succeeded converting back to GB stock ROM, now I'm on french ICS.

I can flash GB stock GDZKL3 after flashing this bootloader right? bootloader should flash before flashing rom, or after flashing the rom? Thanks.
I tried both options. Try flashing the bootloader at first but don't forget to uncheck "Auto-Reboot" in odin. After that you should be able to flash the stock GB ROM. Do you have a jig just in case of any problems? I remember I used my jig, but don't really know why.

Flash stock rom after resurrection remix 1.9.1

Hi guys,
My friend's got a problem. He installed resurrection remix v 1.9.1 by westcrip 4.0.4 on his s2.
The kernel is:
3.0.31-siyah-v.3.2.4+
[email protected] #32
SMP PREEMPT Thu May 17 17:46:03
EEST 2012
He didn't do a backup before installing it and now he wants the original rom back. Could anyone here tell me exactly what he has to do?
He doesn't know anything about flashing roms etc and he did it as in the tutorial to get resurrection remix, so we need an easy tutorial (I don't own a s2 so I can't help him much).
His S2 has no branding.
Thx and please help!
Michi

Only your friend can know what firmware was on his phone before flashing the custom ROM. I suggest to use CheckFus to get the latest official firmware for the phone and then flash it using ODIN.

Using CheckFus is self-explanatory and for using ODIN there are already many excellent and easy to read guides here.
So CheckFus will tell which firmware is right for his device? It will tell exactly which firmware?
And could you post a link to a thread, where is explained how to flash the firmware using odin. Cause I don't understand anything about basebandkernel, and we don't know which firmware was there as he bought the device and which kernel and which baseband and whatever. Is there any tutorial for noobs?
Could you excatly post which firmware we need from here to get phone back on stock ics? We want a german firmware if possible. (I know you could just say ask google, but at xda heres a great community and I don't understand anything of odin and want to know which files exactly I have to download for phone, pda and cdc. That would be so great!)
Please help us!
Thx in advance!
Michi
EDIT:: I found this here: http://androidfirmwares.net/PhoneFirmware/Download/120
Can I download there and then I have to put them like this:
PDA: XWLPF
PHONE (Modem): XXLPX
CSC: OXILP6
?
And then get s2 to download mode?
And what about the kernel? There is this kernel on s2 right now:
3.0.31-siyah-v.3.2.4+

You will have to do quite a lot of reading. Start by reading the Stickies and then read this thread which explains how to use ODIN.
Remember: only fools rush in - take your time and read before flashing
Thanks a lot, but what about kernel now? We'll have to read the thread, but I just want to know if the firmware from android firmware was right and if I could flash the rom if I just put these 3 Phon,Pda and Csc in the fields and without repartition. So what about the kernel?
Sorry if I nerve you, but I'm a noob with s2/flashing etc and it's not my phone
Thx!

The kernel is part of the stock firmware.
So we just need to place these 3 files in the right order in odin (PDA: XWLPF, PHONE (Modem): XXLPX, CSC: OXILP6) and go in download mode on galaxy s2. Then we can flash the firmware which is stock? And then we can update via kies if possible and use kies and etc? there's nothing else to do? And after the we have warranty as if we have just bought it?
EDIT:: I downloaded it but in the 7z file there were only boot modem cache etc and these were iso files? What have I got to do? Where can I download just pda, phone and csc? I dont get that!
Pls help!

You can try www.sammobile.com for stock firmware too. You'll have to sign up, but it's worth it. You just search for the stock firmware for your device and flash through Odin. Do not use the repartition button or the pit file and you should be fine.

I doubt that, the 7z file contains one tar.md5 file. Do not untar it, no one said you should do so. For ODIN read and follow the instructions according to the link I posted in post #4. That thread tells you what to do with the firmware file.

extract the file u downloaded from samfirmware or checkfus
u will have two files in it (in Latest gb or ics)
insert it in pda and flash
and ur done
the kernel is included in the firmware ..
Thx guys now I hope this is my last question on this topic:
I read the guide and downloaded a firmware. Now I don't understand the thing with checkfus. Do I really need checkfus or can I just download this firmware for a s2, unbranded, bought on amazon and it's a german s2?
Can I only put this extracted .tar.md5 file in PDA Section in Odin, boot s2 into download mode and connect to pc. Then click start and everything should went fine?
I own a xperia mini pro and there I must flash kernel and then firmware, so at odin and s2 the kernel will be changed when I flash pda and is included in pda?
Sorry, I asked same before, but I don't really understood
Thx for your great answeres, xda is a super community!

CheckFus is used to download the latest firmware. As you have downloaded the firmware from somewhere else, you do not need CheckFus anymore.

Flash stock rom after resurrection remix
I just reflashed my samsung J-500H with the stock rom after gapps started crashing on resurrection remix. I had no problems going back to stock except the I had a boot loop for a few times my remedy was to do a data and factory reset on stock recovery. I will reflash RR after I find gapps that would work on my J5 Lollipop. Any suggestions?

Bricked Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge International version (SM-G825F)

I need help to unbrick my phone. Here are the details of my phone and things I did before it became useless.
- Version: Updated version of Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge Marshmallow Android 6.0.
- replaced its recovery with TWRP via odin (3.10.6)
- install a ROM with the use of TWRP recovery.
- After rooting my phone and flashing a new rom via TWRP, I can't use my phone's physical buttons.
I also tried full-wipe installation of Custom rom and I got the same issue. I tried restoring it to a stock rom, but it always says "Fail".
Do you guys have any suggestions how can I fix my phone?
Which rom did you flash?
What point in odin does it fail?
I take it you have G925F? Not G8.
Whats your region and what firmware did you try to flash (stock)

Thank you for your reply. Here are my answers:
-I flashed "CarHDRom" to my phone using TWRP 3.0.
- Yes, 825F is just a typo, G925F is the correct model name. I double checked it in the box.
- Philippines, and I already downloaded the firmware that you suggested in another post about softbricked g925F (G925FXXU3DPAD_G925FOXA3DPAD_XEU).

I would first try with odin v 3.10.7 not 3.10.6.
Make sure you have origional cable and debug mode is on in dev options.
If this fails look for the firmware in the picture. Download and flash that.

I suggest TWRP. Make a full Nandroid back up before just incase. But if anything goes wrong you can just flash that stock back to fix.
I would root first with cf autoroot.
Then flash your ROM.
Do a full wife when rom installer asks as this is safest way.
If it bootloops just wait.
Glad i can help
Well it looks like CarHDRom is not compatible with my phone. Tried flashing it twice and I waited for 30mins of booting but it doesn't continue.

As far as I know FF is not working anymore for the updates. I have a M10P rooted with Magisk. Whenever is a official OTA I am flashing my original Stock Recovery, doing the official OTA and then flashing back TWRP and Magisk. That s the way I am doing it, but maybe there are other ones. . cheers

I'm not quit sure if it's safe to update via OTA if ur rooted anc currently have stock recovery though. I'm too confused at how Huawei phones work, back when I used samsung phones I could just flash stock ROM via odin and download stock firmware over sammobile. While in Huawei I'm not kinda sure how to even flash stock firmwares and or stock recovery back.

There will be no bricks if you get the OTA on rooted devices. Reading skills and some tools which you find here at XDA. To get back to Stock you will need the last Firmware you used on your phone. After download use Huawei File extractor and extract stock recovery and system.img and flash it via ADB (I am telling u the short version) . You will find all information and tools here on XDA.
