2.battery life on cm11 rom 17 hours ,atleast 10 hours of standby(obviously when i sleep),2.5 hours of screen time with 1ghz uc on pegasusq governor no hd gaming not even subway surefers only music about 2 hours
3.during 10 hours of standby battery decreases by 10-15%

do i need a new battery?
Batteries don't last forever. You missed out all the important info....
1) is it the original (included in the box) battery?
2) how old is the phone?
3) if the battery is a replacement, how old is it and where was it sourced?
4) is the battery showing signs of swelling? If you take the battery out of the phone and put it on a flat surface, can you spin it?

Ok....here's the thing......
Samsung provides warranty on their batteries for only SIX MONTHS (information as supplied by Samsung UK) so that should give you some idea of how long Samsung expects them to last.
So given that you've been using the battery for almost THREE times that, a new battery should definitely be considered. My advice though would be to stay away from eBay if it is your intention to get a Samsung branded replacement. .....the label on the battery will say Samsung, but what's inside......ain't.
My wife says I'm a phone geek....She's probably right
I have the original Samsung battery which is 2.5 years month old but I m still not very desperate to buy a new one. If you are getting the right symptoms e.g. low backup than usual, heating, swelling etc then it's time for you to get a new one.
We can only suggest you here but as only you have the first hand experience of it, only you can decide.

80% after 6 Hours Medium use [ That's texing(50) phone calls (10-15 minutes) Internet (Updated Facebook status 4 times and browsed for about 20 minutes ) sent 4 emails with images above, received 10-15 emails aalso around 30-40 Facebook messages via the "Messenger" app ] & a few other things that weren't power hungry ( looking at pictures and changing a few contacts ) Even after the first charge i can already see a big improvement to the stock battery obviously i will see how long the battery lasts but as you can see it will be a while - Take into account my stock battery which is about 6-8 months old will be at 50-60% by now
while the extended sits at 80%

I have been using this battery for just over a year and can confirm it works great! I am starting (over the last month) to see some degradation. I will definitely need a new one in the next few weeks. So its good, but be warned, the battery life drops off a lot after about a year.
ryanraven,
you are always satisfied with the 1550 battery?
how many days it lasts?
thx
there is risk of damaging the phone with a battery that is not official and most powerful?

No, since the voltage is the same there would be no difference in power transferring into the device, only the capacity is different, Its very safe and this battery also has an short circuit and over charge protection :d

Agree on this. It's 3.7V usually.
Btw, what about testing this one? I know you can request it from them.
There's a really easy and universal way that everyone could do to test out the battery:
Watch mp4 videos and chart how long it takes to have the battery at a certain percentage.
I found that watching videos consistently uses up more power at a faster rate (depending on the length of the video) than if the phone is left untouched (data/Wifi/Bluetooth/GPS on but no apps running).
So have you noticed a difference? Are you happy with the results?
Bought the same battery. My original one was 2 years old and barley could hold one day with light use. Especially if it got under 50 %.
This one lasted for almost 2 days with medium/hard use with eles 2.1 rom.
I had this new battery for 5 days so it might be placebo. Will give some more info in a week.
Your hero has the model number: CS-HDE190HL
35H00121-05M
BA S380
TWIN160
??
because mine has 37H00078-05M-A and I do not know if the battery can go with that code just as well!
this is an interesting topic.
i purchased a replacement battery from ebay about a year ago.
3300Mah
it was twice as thick as the standard stock one and came with a replacement cover to fit.
i charged it up, with the phone off and wiped the battery stats when it came time to boot.
the battery WAS awesome.
after a full charge, with medium amount of use, (phone calls and wifi the odd hour of music.)
the battery lasted 6 days. YES. . . . . . 6 DAYS
3 months later i notice the back replacement cover didnt quite fit.
then i noticed that the battery had a bit of a curve to it. then i noticed that i was getting less battery life.
then one day battery life. . . . .
then pop. it died.
luckily not killing the phone but it did require re-romming to a stock rom.
the moral of the story is. . . . . .BE CAREFUL.

Totally agree. That's why it's better to stick to branded products.
This 3200mAh battery is worth of trying to test.

The Galaxy S III unit is certainly big enough. When they said they would improve the battery life on their next Galaxy, I was thinking at least 2,300 mAh. A small gripe, but something to be desired.
I can't complain with 7 hours of screen on time..
How long do you need your phone to last? A bigger battery would always be nice but I'm definitely not complaining. I average around 4-5 hours of screen on time from one charge on complete stock with good brightness. Do we really need more?

The question is, do we really need less? There's already small 4.3" display phones that run over 3,000 mAh. With the size of this unit, they simply could have taken to task their claim of wanting to improve battery life a little more sufficiently. The more powerful these devices get, the more demanding their battery life is.

The DROID RAZR also has a non-removable battery which probably contributes to that.
Removable or not, it's still been done. I'm not saying this phone should go 3,000+ mAh; as that would sacrifice body thinness, but they probably had more to work with that they didn't utilize.

Possibly, but apparently the general population cares more about thin devices than battery life.
Either way, I'm generally not going to use the phone for 7 hours everyday so it makes no difference to me.
Honestly, I expected less than what I am getting from the battery life, so I am more than happy. You also have to remember, battery life is a big selling point for the next models. I am certain they could have easily tweaked the design/battery and given this phone another 10+ hours standby or something like that, but that limits the sales features for the next model. You want to make your new device good but not so good that the next new model doesn't seem as impressive.

Same. I've been using mine plenty today since 7 in the morning (can't call it heavy usage, but definitely was not "light") and it still has over 60% (its now the end of the day here). Couldn't be happier with the battery.
Well... obviously I could, but I definitely can't complain.
I wish mine was gd too.. but kworker processes are draining my battery life yet no ideas how do resolve yet...
I get 11 hours at 60% yesterday, so that's excellent on stock Rom with all the bloat, sure cm9 Rom at same hours and same use was still 86% and I always leave bt gps wifi and full brightness always on

Don't forget The SGS3 battery is 3.8v, whereas the SGS2 battery is 3.7. If you look at the watt hours, SGS3 is just under 8, where as stock 1650mah battery is just over 6. 33% increase in batter size!
I'm rooted and running stock Vodafone rom (OTA update), but I've frozen a lot of the rubbish (and installed siyah kernel!). I'm getting very good battery life with 3-5 hours of screen on. Basically, it's not ever once not "got me through the day", even when I first got the phone and I was abusing it.
Standby times could be slightly better, and there are some other issues that are draining battery (fast dormency is a pain in da ass!!), but considering the SGS3 is fresh out the battery life is amazing!
When I use the internet I'm using about 12% of the battery per hour which is pretty damn good and fairly close to S2 so I've got no complaints, and the last update made a noticeable improvement on battery, but the only real complaint is the battery takes over 2 and a half hours to charge so more than ever I do need a spare battery for those times I get caught short on charge.
I noticed a big improvement in battery life with the stock rom I9300XXALF6 + modem I9300XXLF5. Using only for calls, on average, by 10 hours consumes 10% of the battery.
This battery is big and enough for day to day use but when i want to watch some episodes I'm always carrying a backup charger.

Some here - 1 hour/1% with moderate use (a few calls, messages, random goofing). (att, stock rom, int. version, sync off, auto brightness)
Im quite satisfied, battery is like just as i expected
Hello fellow members.
My battery is almost 2y old. I think it's just gone bad already after this time.
5 days ago i changed my rom to newest ReVolt rom and kernel to newest Dorimanx.
Just before that (so i think it's not a case) i noticed significant baterry drain on screen on and off. Its about 1% every 3 min on screen on and about 20% slepp thru 8h in airplane mode (when i sleep)
But can i somehow chceck is my battery charging to the full capacity as new battery ?
If i'm not clear pls ask.
Without getting another battery to do a comparison or without dedicated battery testing gear, unlikely. However, I'd be getting a new one if one managed to last me two years without crapping itself well before that.
Edit - Having said, that, you can be fairly certain a two year old battery would either not be able to hold a charge/discharge as efficiently as a new(er) battery given batteries lose the ability to do these things the more you use them/the more you charge & discharge them
Buy a new one.

End of october im getting a S4 so wanted get thru somehow
But cant you check the real capacity with some app ? and whats the capacity of new original sammsung battery ?
Yep I hear you on the holding out for a new phone thing; I was going to wait until about then but my S2 started playing up hardware-wise & pretty much made the decision to go earlier for me.
From memory, a newish standard SGS2 battery holds around 4200mV full & about 3500mV close to empty (and I'm going way back in my memory here as I used a 2000mAh battery for all but the first two months), but that can be a little bit variable. I think given the age of the one you have, if it's significantly under that @ 100%, it's probably safe to say it's on its last legs (which is likely anyway purely because of how long you've had it).
Hey everyone,
I need some advice on the G5 when my battery is on 20% or 10% I want to take a photo of an object but as I tap on the capture button the phone shuts down instantly without warning and then will reboot this will happen every time I tap on capture on the camera . I can do normal things such as send texts, calls, social media all those I can do without a problem but its just the camera that seems to do it which is extremely irritating. Is there anyway of getting a fix around this? Your help would be appreciated! :good:
Thanks
It's probably the battery. Powering camera sensor draws a lot of current which could cause a sudden huge drop in voltage and trigger the reboot.
Yeah I'm starting to get some random crashes when my battery is low i guess it's the battery after 1.5 year of use and 500 quick charges the battery is starting to fail.
I bought 2 battery from eBay but they don't hold as the original did.
First battery holds about 2 hours sot and the second 2.5 on stock 20s

I would suggest buy OEM ones.
It might not be as good as the stock ones, but since LG no longer makes them, all available stock batteries are either used or refurbished or old/degraded.
At least you can get brand-new OEM batteries.
The battery in my phone has started to die without warning between 5-40% charge. End of the line? Options? Thanks.
My ok, it still reach 2 days (or 1 day with full use) you can try to replace just the battery youll need heat gun, suction cup , and set of mini screws, you can find alot of tutorials on you tube,
if it worth for you (battery cost about 30$ i think)
after replace the battery youll lose the water resistant ,
2nd option you can carry power bank with you

What water resistant? Mine after a brief exposure to rain had water in the headphone jack and for 2 days was vibrating like hell and messages with "headphone connected" / "headphone disconnected" .
The so called "water resistant" is a piece of crap and a big lie!
Also my battery is going to hell, but not like yours. It just go to 0% much faster than before. After two years of normal usage (with bootloader locked btw) i hardly get one day of battery. When it was new i was getting two days also.
I have had a long series of Sony Erricson phones, but the Z5c is the biggest failure until now. The previous phone (a Xperia SP) still works perfectly with battery still going for 3 or 4 days (normal usage and almost no gaming), and this after approximately 7 years of usage and hardcore gaming in the first 4 years of its life.
I was a big fan of Sony Ericsson phones (since the T28) and loved them since the P900, but now i`m seriously thinking to switch to Huawei phones. They are a lot better then Sony right now, in every way possible (yes, including cammera ).
I'm in the same situation: after 3,5 years the battery is slowly diying, sometimes the phone switches off at 10%.
When i use Maps, the battery goes down 1% for 1 minute. Apart from that, the phone still works fine and it's in good condition but Sony wants to charge me 75 euro for just replacing the battery! My 7 years old Galaxy S2 has had a much longer battery life compared to this Sony...
The problem is that i don't really trust third party batteries from ebay or chinese sites. Has anyone had a good long experience with batteries bought online?

Same problem: my battery was dying, could barely get it to do one full day (basically, only by not using the phone).
Replaced it myself with a Chinese one from Amazon at about 18€: so far everything's good. Can't vouch for battery long-term duration, of course, but in 15 days it has shown no visible degradation - and I have longer SoT than I used to have when the Z5C was new (to be fair, now I'm on LOS with kernel undervoltage optimizations, and not on stock OS).
