Are you sure? I'm gonna buy one personally, becuase even though it's gorilla glass, it can easily get scratched with things like sand. With me going out to beaches a lot, it's better to buy one.
I'm confused whether to buy a Matte one or Ultra clear one, as matte one would decrease(seemingly) the resolution even more, but it does offer anti-glare and hence, better sunlight legibility (Something which Moto E can't show off much).

I don't come anywhere near sand in my day. But, if you do, having a screen-guard is essential.
Matte Screen Protector Benefits:
1. Anti-Glare
2. Anti-smudge
3. Anti-fingerprint
Matte Screen Protector Drawbacks:
1. Clarity
In the end, it is going to come down to personal preference. The only real way to know which is for you is to try one of each.
Try iSmooth (don't think they have one for Moto E yet).

We've had this phone out for about 4 months now and I was just wondering what screen protectors you guys are using, post a link of where you bought it and personal opinion about the protector and any other helpful information! I've been using this cheap protector for such a long time, now it's time to see what's really out there!:good:
Mine is built into my Otterbox case. I forget which model, I'll have to look for you, and I absolutely hate it. It's raised very slightly off my screen so I have to press down a with a little more effort, it hinders my typing speed. I'm planning on taking an exacto blade and taking out the screen protector and using one of the regular ones, but damn it I always get air bubbles

You have an otterbox defender. And I'm considering doing the same thing. I'm thinking of getting one of those "wet apply" screen protectors to avoid getting bubbles. I might just get a ghost armor next time I go to the mall.
I'm sure I'll get **** for this but I really do love the invisible shield.
I just wish they made the HD one for the DNA, my gf has it on her iPhone 5 and it's awesome.

I wanted a ZAGG invisible shield, as I had one for the HTC EVO V 4G and it was the 1st screen protector I used, it was great quality. I searched everywhere and could not find one for the DNA, only 1 store on Amazon had it and it got bad reviews. I decided to go with the Armor Military Grade one. Had it on for a couple days, so far feels just as great as the ZAGG.
Nothing beats Ghost Armor. They install it and no air bubbles. Plus lifetime warranty.

Just put the zagg hd on mine. I've always done ghost armor but this seems just as nice. Not a big fan of applying myself because I'm picky but otherwise good. Just make sure you wait 3 days for all the blemishes and bubbles to clear before pocketing it for best results

Anyone tried the screen protectors provided by Seidio?
Just ordered the Skinomi Teckskin...made to fit the DNA, its a wet application and you only get one for $12. Opposed to the 3 you get at VZW but those are cheap and don't fit as nice.

I use this screen protector on mine and I love it. This was my first screen protector where you need to apply wet and I haven't looked back since putting it on. It doesn't take away from the display and fits perfect and is easy to put on. I ordered mine off amazon and got it cheaper than 12$ at the time. I also got a lifetime warranty on it so if it gets too worn down I will just get a new one. Deffidently the best one I have found so far.

Word! I can't stand the feel of screen protectors. The feel of the glass in way better. I treat my phone like a baby, and sit in an office all day. I guess if I were out in the field I might put a protector on it. But this is the whole point of all this high-tech glass, to make them virtually impossible to break or scratch.

Glass is glass. It will still shatter with enough force (not that a screen protector would save it from that). But even still, small particles of sand and rock and such can still easily scratch the screen. Don't believe its scratch proof when its scratch resistant.

Not at $8 yet. Nillkin still at $17 but it's tempered and oleophobic so likely worth it. As long as it has those and the edges are cambered it's good.
The One Max screen area is a perfect rectangle (easy to make) so I expect more of them to pop up really soon at a much cheaper price.
Wonder if we could use the Zagg Shield for the Samsung Galaxy Mega for the HTC One Max? Zagg said they will not be selling one for this device.

Coming from someone who swore by Zagg these are just as good. I have used a lot of them on different devices. They always have coupons which give 75% or more off so watch for those.
I agree with Xtremeguard being a much better deal than ANYTHING Zagg..
I just got these, and they are fantastic; smooth as glass, and you dont use water to apply, which is a downside of zagg/xtremeguard..

coming from China its gonna take a couple of weeks anyways, so I have to be patient..
that shop has some nice items but their shipping and customer service lack a lot.
finally got a tracking number, so hopefully not too much longer. I paid an extra 2 dollars for "registered" air mail, what ever that means coming from china..
Hey guys, this will probably be frowned upon, but I'm really just trying to be a nice guy. I ordered one of the Nillkin 9H tempered glass screen protectors (the EXACT one shown linked in the OP) by accident. It is in my hands right now. Problem is, I have an HTC One and NOT a One MAX. I paid $12 with free shipping from China and will sell it for $10 shipped (USPS Priority Mail) any where in the US. I can get it in the mail today if someone acts fast.
I'm not a spammer and have been on XDA for several years. I just don't want to deal with sending it back to China and I figured someone here could make good use of it. Attached is a pic for proof.
PM me if interested.
EDIT: Sold! Thanks Mike!

Just thinking that the perfect phone would be the G2 with the matte finish. The front screen is already perfect but add the matte finish with the awesome back placement of the power button and volume keys and it would be amazing. I love my G2 but the back cover is a horrendous plastic finger print magnet. I cant imagine how many units LG would have sold if the the back cover was Matte finish like the Moto X or Nexus 5? Just dreaming...
Just purchase another back cover off eBay or so and sandpaper it (or use steel wool grade 0000). Check out the accessories forum, there's a thread there . Imo the matte finish is far more elegant.

I didn't even look at the back of the G2 when buying it, personally, as I always use a low profile TPU type case.

Of course I knew they were on the back, but after playing with Knock-On in the store I figured I could live it. Otherwise, it'd have been a no-sale.
I didn't pay attention to the back much otherwise, as it'd always be covered.

Few people are put off by so called 'bloat'. Very few really know what an unbloated phone looks like for 2 reasons. First the Nexus' sells in tiny numbers, and second the Nexus isnt bloat free anyway! The G2 is no more burdened with bloat than any other phone.
I dont have a problem with the G2s back. Sure its plastic, but its smart. The N5 might be soft touch, but it looks and feels hollow and cheap.

Thank you, I was about to say just this. The XDA echo chamber continues to rumble with the expectation that every user is a power user and that every customer roots their phone.

I second this, the fit is anything but good. There are rather large gaps around the screen which defeats the purpose of having a screen protector.
It has poor fitting(large gaps on the side). Pretty thick compare to other protectors. Are you sure you got the temper glass protector? I find it hard to believe you got it for $1. I paid $6 and it's a waste.
I paid $16 for a flexible glass protector by iloome. Now that's worth the money. Great fit.
I have 0 gaps on mine, I think it's user error. If fits perfectly & I even have a case on mine. I purchased 10 of these for 10 different devices & good investment.

I have the spartan glass on the galaxy s5, and by far its the best one I've tried! I was planning to buy the same for the G3 but they are out of stock and then I see the negative reviews!
More to the point, the video actually shows the flaw everyone is talking about: Even though you have pushed the glass further from one side, the other side, still has a small gap! even ignoring that, the fact that you have left space on one side but the other side hasn't gone off the screen means the fit is not perfect. Don't get me wrong, it's still a great value but I can see where the complains are coming from.
Thank man for the video review nonetheless.

I saw no issues with it & fits fine for me. But if worse comes to worse, I'll just contact them & get it replaced. Their CS is AMAZING!
The edges of the screen protector don't go over because the gap is very minimal when I attached it, if I would have removed it & put it on again I'm sure it would have fit fine.
I'm just glad you don't even notice it with a case on it & it doesn't lift at all.

I don't know where all these rave reviews are coming from, maybe I got a bad unit from XtremeGuard. The glass protector is very thick, it feels sticky to the touch, it doesn't line up well and there's no cut out for the camera. If I hadn't ordered it a month ago for 90% off I would have sent it back. Now it will just sit collecting dust.

Exactly. If you have room to push the screen protector over and it leaves a gap on one side then it doesn't fit.
All the protectors I've had that have the "gap" makes them case friendly. I prefer that myself, but to each their own I guess.

Once I get my device, I will update you on this one - https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0719QWWQ9 - although the two reviews aren't promising.
:good:
The omoton is straight junk. Do not get it! Can see glue and doesn't even stick

Yea the one I originally linked to does not fit. Isn't even wide enough to cover the display.
Any one have any luck? I'd rather not having this thing unprotected at all.
Edit - Trying these next as I don't think a glass one is going to work - https://www.amazon.com/Protector-Supershieldz-Anti-Glare-Anti-Fingerprint-Replacements/dp/B0728B39JP
I grabbed this glass one and it actually worked pretty well. Takes a bit to get everything lined up, but I was pleased.

Is there adhesive on the transparent portion of the protector or only under the colored border? Is there a matrix of small dots visible in direct sunlight? Are the edges actually curved or flat + beveled?
any idea where to get screen protector for the back glass??

I saw IQ Shield had a wet apply full body protector.
If my next protector wasn't good, I was going to look into that.

You'll have to give feedback as I am really interested in this.
I have the Top Ace full screen protector
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B072FHC5K6
It is a full front tgsp with a black border to cover up the normal halo you would get with the 2.5d glass, like Intelliarmor Pro.
It's not perfect. The cutouts for the lighted buttons are slightly misaligned on my sample, so the button lights are blocked slightly when viewed from an angle. And the black borders look like they cover a row of pixels of the screen on each side. The glass itself is pretty good, the oleophobic coating is decent. No dot matrix either.
It's not the best imo but then again I don't feel compelled to rip it off the phone. Having the full cover is nice.

Anyone try this one? I ordered one, will update when I put it on. The cutouts look different from all the others.

Have to when our new phones have curved screens. A flat piece of glass doesn't work anymore, just creates a raised edge.

Yup. Saw a video of one and it looked perfect so figure it's worth a shot lifetime replacements lol.
Don't get this one. Doesn't fit properly. Lamshaw from Amazon.
