i looked around the forum and i didnt seen to find an answer. and i dont know if this can be done. at least iam beeing honest. but is it possible to converte a SPRINT galaxy note 2 to verizon NOTE 2? for examble taking a verizon note 2 stock tar file and with odin flash it to a sprint note 2? i know on sprint phones you can flasha boot mmobile tar for example on the galaxy 2. epic touch. but since both phones are CDMA version and same model i dont know if this can be done or if trying this will this brick the phone or something? reason of doing this is use my existing sprint note 2 on verizon. please let me know thanks guys.

Once upon a time, We activated a Sprint moto q on the Verizon network after flashing but we had to get Verizon's Tech Support to add the phones' MEID to the Verizon network manually. Good luck getting that to work these days.
EDIT: I just remembered ,A Sprint Note 2 doesn't have the SIM card slot needed to work on the Verizon Network. So I don't think it is possible.

hi there doctor-cool. well see what iam trying to do is convert my sprint note into a verizon note. so that i can use the CDMA portion on straight talk since straight talk runs CDMA on verizon network. since i guess sprint note 2 cant be flash to straight talk. i did flashed the DEC from my straight talk into the sprint note 2 but it didnt work. so maybe converting from sprint phone to a verizon version maybe it should work. i tought the SIM card on verizon was only for LTE and not for CDMA.. now iam confused.

On the Verizon Note 2 the SIM card is used to Activate the phone.

I have an original ATT Note that was hacked to use T-Mobile with a Saurom Rom .....not sure which Radio....
My question is when T-Mobile releases their version next month can my original hacked Note be rehacked with the new T-Mobile ROM and radios?
Or do I have to restore the ATT files and sell to an ATT customer...then buying a new T-Mobile Note?
thanks for the help....

yep that's what I thought the answer would be....just hate to take a $ hit on it which I no doubt would...plus with Note 2 coming out soon it would be nice to be able to use the one I have with the real T-Mobile Rom and Radio....until the Note 2 comes out....

Is it because no developer will be working on it or what?
I dont think the t-mobile radio alone will help. But, if a replacement speaker/anntenna assembly becomes available, that should do the trick.
IIRC the phones are internally different. At least the antennas are. Thats the weak point of the at&t model. Personally id sell yours and get the one specifically madefor AWS. Plenty of people will want yours (LTE). Not everyone will want a tmobile branded phone.
Pretty sure the tmob phone will have superior AWS reception

Correct me if I'm wrong but T-Mobile is supposed to be rolling out with LTE next year, will the att note support that LTE since the phone supports it. If that's the case I will stick with the att note in hopes that I could get LTE.

Going to go for the T-Mobile Note
I guess I'm convinced that selling the ATT version and just buying the new T-mobile Note is what I'll do..............I figured that was the wisest thing from the start but was curious as to the "why's"........
I'm on T-Mo with the note too, but have come to the conclusion that I'll hold off for the note 2, assuming it comes to T-Mo, and if not then I'll get the T-Mo note later. I'm basing this on the marginally acceptable d/l & u/l speeds I'm getting and that 90%+ of the time my data use is on wifi anyway.
Just sharing another T-Mo users thoughts.
T-Mobile Note....Wait or Not
[My download and connectivity issues are such that without wi-fi dialing my service at home is unpredictable and marginal....so looking towards T-Mobile having their own Note makes waiting for Note 2 not a good option unless the ATT Note I'm using could be flashed again with updated radio and perhaps ROM.
Was hoping that taking those from the new T-Mobile Note would be possible, but if not then I'll have to go the buy-sell route and move my ATT version as soon as the new one is out and in my hands.
Even with this fix: http://www.xda-developers.com/android/galaxy-note-i717-hacked-to-work-on-t-mobile-3g4g/ you are getting poor results? I am thinking of getting a used note to use with my t-mobile 2 year plan, I will probably not going to be able afford the "no contract note" even if its released for t mobile soon...
I'm getting 3-10mbps average and that's when I'm NOT on wifi. I really see no reason to why you would sell your current note for a newer phone but with the sake exact specs at such a higher price. Wifi calling would be the biggest reason and 42mbps? Even with my galaxy s2 on T-Mobile I hit 5-12mbps all day. But I use data only for BS poker, Facebook and BS like that. I don't see at all why u would bother switching especially if its only to flash roms ans radios. Several threads talk about getting the tmobile galaxy note radio working on the att version.

The ability to do cool stuff with phones doesn't surprise me so I'm going to ask. I've seen it done going the opposite direction.

I think you can flash a custom .zip rom thru recovery then do some apn edits, but do not flash stock verizon firmware to your att device through odin. there is a difference!!

I am not 100% here but...
As far as I know the Verizon Note 2 works on AT&T and other carriers because in addition to being VZW device, it is also a world phone, meaning it has a GSM radio in addition to the CDMA VZW radio.
The AT&T Note 2 is a world phone by default due to AT&T being GSM so it only needs that one radio.
I do not think the AT&T version has the required CDMA radio in it to access VZW service.
I will do some checking and post back in a few.
**EDIT**
I checked the AT&T forum for the Note 2 and can not find any mention of a CDMA radio or anyone successfully using an AT&T Note 2 on Verizon.
**EDIT 2**
Verizon also gets to "approve" any device they let on their 3G CDMA network, so without some fancy hacking that we are not allowed to talk about on XDA.... you probably could not even activate the phone on Verizon.
^I believe you are correct...I was thinking the other way around not att on verizon.
I have a rooted phone with jelly beans rom I am able to ADD Networks to the ROM Software also I can do it with HIAPN Software. But nothing works. What am I doing wrong. Its a Verizon i605 Note 2 which I would like to Try STRAIGHT TALK using AT&T Towers. I have tried 2 different At&t straight talk SIMS. Neither one will bring up SIGNAL on my screen. The last card I bought says for At&t compatibly phones or UNLOCKED GSM Phones. My phone is UNLOCKED am I imputing the wrong DATA in the APN Info area can someone help me here find what is causing my problem. Frank [email protected]
The only CDMA-based phones that work on Straight Talk are the ones that Straight Talk sells directly. The "bring your own phone" method only works with GSM (AT&T, T-Mobile) phones.

I have a Verizon fascinate I flashed to mimic a straight talk CDMA phone. Works great. I'm actually here now because I want to know if I can do the same with a note 2
I currently have a VERIZON Galaxy note 3 that has a bad motherboard - I am being given a SPRINT Galaxy note 3 that has a busted screen / Digitizer.. but has a good motherboard.
I want to put the Sprint motherboard in my Verizon note 3 and use it on Verizon 4G LTE. I've been told the bootloader is unlocked, but that the sim is locked by Sprint and can't be used on Verizon or any other carrier, let alone 4G LTE.
Can anyone confirm or deny this? I want to use Alliance ROM (Verizon) and keep / use my 4G LTE. I don't care about any of the Verizon or sprint apps. I usually delete those.

Go ahead and give it a shot. Both phones are jacked from what you say so it won't hurt anything and will give you some knowledge on swapping internals out on the phones themselves.
Good luck and keep me updated on how it goes. Thanks.

So will Verizon SIM work in it, or will it not without changing ROMs or whatever

Yep sprint mother board. There's a thread about flashing a Verizon rom on to a sprint note 3. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2942452

It's my understanding that even flashing a Verizon ROM on it won't let it work on Verizon.

I have this Rooted unlocked sprint sm-n900p SAMSUNG NOTE 3, how do I make it work with Wind or T-Mobile?, I was looking around and I ended up installing 'REGION UNLOCK" apk , Installed that apk and it didnt work, Phone can't search T-Mobile/Wind network, Please tell me if its possible and if yes, then how?
I also found this link --> http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2593305 Will that link work?? I don't want to brick/make phone bad, its working find with all other network except T-Mobile.
Thank for reading.
Hey man. I would sell or trade for a Tmobile version because sprint phones in generaly can't be unlocked to gsm. Although it may say the gsm is there, it never really works. I have an att version unlocked but I tried to use a sprint HTC m8 on tmobile/metropcs and it did not work out. Sprint devices on gsm generally are iPhones.
